The eyes of the tennis world remain on Flushing Meadows with the 2022 U.S. Open winding down in New York. On the men's side, four players remain, and the semifinals are set for Friday at 7 p.m. ET. No. 3 seed Carlos Alcaraz takes on No. 22 seed Frances Tiafoe in the headliner of the day. Alcaraz is the highest seed remaining in the field, and the 19-year-old has a chance to be the No. 1 player in the world by the end of the week. Tiafoe is the lone American remaining in the men's draw and cruised through the quarterfinal in straight sets after upsetting 22-time grand slam champion Rafael Nadal.

Alcaraz is a -220 favorite (risk $220 to win $100) in the latest Tiafoe vs. Alcaraz odds from Caesars Sportsbook, with Tiafoe getting +170 (risk $100 to win $170) as the underdog. Caesars sets the over/under for total games at 39.5, with Alcaraz favored by 3.5 games. Top Tiafoe vs. Alcaraz predictions

Alcaraz, the 19-year-old from Spain, is the betting favorite in the match, and he could become the No. 1 player in the world by the end of the week. This is his first grand slam semifinal, and he is the youngest player to reach the US Open semifinal since Pete Sampras in 1990. Alcaraz has broken his opponent's serve 39% of the time in the tournament and he also held his own serve on 80% of occasions, an elite ratio. He is also elite at taking advantage of break point chances, converting 46% on 0.85 per game compared to 39% on 0.57 per game for Tiafoe in the tournament.

Tiafoe is the first American man to make the US Open semifinal since 2006, and he upended Rafael Nadal, a 22-time grand slam winner, earlier in the field. Tiafoe has the rest advantage after Alcaraz played a five-hour marathon on Wednesday, and he dominated No. 9 seed Andrey Rublev in the quarterfinal. Tiafoe has a 1-0 all-time edge against Alcaraz, and he is also 6-0 in tiebreakers during his US Open run. See who Calvert is backing here.
