  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Ice tilted at him all night long

Swayman made 34 saves Saturday in a 6-2 loss to Tampa Bay. The Lightning's final two goals were scored on an empty net. Swayman had the rink tilted at him all game long -- Andrei Vasilevskiy saw just 12 shots (two goals). Swayman can't do it alone, and that's exactly what it felt like Saturday -- the Bruins didn't show up. That means Swayman could have a rough ride to the season's end, and that could negatively impact your fantasy playoff run.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Gets starting nod Saturday

Swayman will be in the home blue paint versus Tampa Bay on Saturday, according to Shawn Hutcheon of The Fourth Period. Swayman got the hook in his last start after allowing four goals on 15 shots during the first period in Thursday's 6-3 loss to Ottawa. He is 20-22-6 in a lackluster performance this season, picking up four shutouts with a 2.98 GAA and an .897 save percentage through 48 appearances. The Lightning are generating 3.49 goals per game in 2024-25, second in the NHL.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Gets hook Thursday

Swayman stopped 11 of 15 shots before being replaced by Joonas Korpisalo to begin the second period of Thursday's 6-3 loss to the Senators. The final two Ottawa goals against Swayman came just 22 seconds apart late in the opening frame, and while the netminder wasn't necessarily at fault for either, interim head coach Joe Sacco had seen enough. Swayman's had a rough time since the 4 Nations Face-Off, going 2-4-2 in eight starts with a 2.99 GAA and an .888 save percentage, and while Boston remains in the hunt for a wild-card spot, the team will need better play in its own end -- both in the crease and from its skaters -- if it's going to make the postseason.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Between pipes Thursday

Swayman will tend the twine on the road versus Ottawa on Thursday, Jim McBride of The Boston Globe reports. Swayman is riding a two-game winning streak during which he has posted a .962 save percentage (51 of 53 saves), including a shutout over the Lightning. The netminder's improved form follows a six-game losing streak in which he went 0-4-2 with a 3.32 GAA. At this point, the Bruins seem content to give the bulk of the workload to Swayman, leaving Joonas Korpisalo to watch from the bench more often than not.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Defending crease Tuesday

Swayman will protect the home net against Florida on Tuesday, per Elaine Cavalieri of the Bruins' official site. Swayman is coming off a 26-save performance in Saturday's 4-0 shutout win over Tampa Bay. He has a 19-21-6 record with four shutouts, a 2.93 GAA and an .898 save percentage through 46 appearances this season. Florida sits eighth in the league with 3.27 goals per game in 2024-25.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Fourth shutout of season

Swayman made 26 saves Saturday in a 4-0 win over the Lightning. Swayman earned his first win since Feb. 4 and his fourth shutout of 2024-25. He was 0-4-2 in his previous six starts, and things won't likely get any easier for the netminder with deadline trades that took Brad Marchand, Charlie Coyle and Brandon Carlo to new cities. Swayman will have to stand on his head down the stretch and during the Bruins' attempt to retool the roster.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Facing Tampa Bay

Swayman will guard the road crease Saturday versus the Lightning, per Fluto Shinzawa of The Athletic. Swayman will make his 46th appearance of the season -- the 26-year-old has an 18-21-6 record, .896 save percentage and 3.00 GAA over 45 starts. Tampa Bay is tied for first in the NHL with 3.60 goals per game this season. It won't get easier for Swayman down the stretch after Boston dealt away multiple core pieces at Friday's trade deadline.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Patrolling crease versus Preds

Swayman will guard the cage at home against Nashville on Tuesday, Scott McLaughlin of WEEI reports. Swayman is mired in a five-game losing streak in which he posted a 0-3-2 record, 2.97 GAA and .891 save percentage. The Alaskan-born netminder has certainly been let down by his offense in some of those contests -- a problem that may get worse following news of Brad Marchand's (upper body) long-term injury.

He has posted a record of 18-19-6 with three shutouts, a 3.00 GAA and an .897 save percentage through 43 appearances this season. • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Tough luck loss to Isles

Swayman made 18 saves in a 2-1 loss to the Islanders on Thursday. Swayman wasn't perfect -- he'd like to have at least one of the goals back for the second game in a row - but the Bruins didn't score for him, either. Swayman has struggled all season long, and he has faced the ire of fans who are frustrated by his inconsistency. Swayman is 1-2-2 in his last five games with one shutout and two contests where he allowed at least four goals. He's not an automatic start right now given his struggles, but his personal brand and past reputation also make it hard to sit him.

The Islanders rank 27th in goals per game with 2.70.

Swayman made 24 saves in a 5-4 overtime loss to Toronto on Tuesday. The Bruins gave Swayman a three-goal cushion by the midpoint of the second period before the Maple Leafs turned up the heat and roared back to force OT. Swayman has been one of the busiest netminders in 2025, making 427 saves. He's behind only Andrei Vaskilevskiy (479) and Joey Daccord (427) more the most saves since 2025 started.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Stops 26 shots

Swayman saved 26 of the 29 shots he faced in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Ducks. Outside the final three minutes of the first period, Swayman kept Boston's net tidy until Leo Carlsson's game-winner in the extra period. The 26-year-old netminder holds an 18-18-5 record with a 2.98 GAA and an .898 save percentage. Swayman traveled with Team USA during the 4 Nations Face-Off but did not make an appearance in net. Boston should challenge for a playoff spot in the Atlantic, meaning Swayman will continue to see plenty of reps moving forward. His next opportunity to guard the crease is on home ice Tuesday against the Maple Leafs.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Gets starting assignment Saturday

Swayman will defend the home blue paint against Anaheim on Saturday. Swayman is 18-1-8-4 with three shutouts, a 2.98 GAA and an .898 save percentage across 40 starts this season. He has struggled this season after missing training camp in a contract dispute, and while he has played well during stretches of time in 2024-25, he has not come close to his play over the previous three campaigns. He could have an easier time of things Saturday, as the Ducks are last in NHL scoring, averaging 2.48 goals per game this season.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Makes 34 saves in loss

Swayman saved 34 of 38 shots in Saturday's 4-3 loss to the Golden Knights. Swayman failed to hold a 3-1 lead, allowing a goal with 34 seconds left in the second period and two more in the third. The regulation loss drops his record to 18-18-4, along with a 2.98 GAA and .898 save percentage in 40 games this season. Swayman already has a new career high in regulation losses in his first season as a true No. 1 option in the crease, but he's also on pace to easily surpass his career high of 44 appearances. With the Bruins in the mix for a playoff spot, Swayman should continue to see a large volume of opportunities in net during the stretch run following the 4 Nations Face-Off.

  • Bruins' Jeremy Swayman: Blanks Wild for third shutout

Swayman made 35 saves in Tuesday's 3-0 win over Minnesota. The 26-year-old netminder recorded his third shutout of the season, and his first since Dec. 28. Swayman continues to struggle with his consistency, and the pressure of living up to the big contract extension he signed right before the season started could still be weighing him down. Through 12 outings since the beginning of January, he's gone 5-6-1 with a 3.07 GAA and .910 save percentage.
