Pitlick was placed on waivers by the Blackhawks on Wednesday, Chris Johnston of The Athletic reports. Pitlick has played in just one of Chicago's last five contests and saw just 9:24 of ice time in that lone appearance. The decision to waive Pitlick and move him to the minors could be an indication that one of the club's injured forwards is ready to come off injured reserve, perhaps Anthony Beauvillier (wrist), who has been practicing with the team recently.... Blackhawks' Rem Pitlick: Traded to Windy City
Chicago acquired Pitlick from Pittsburgh on Saturday in exchange for a conditional 2026 seventh-round draft pick. Pitlick has eight goals and 24 points in 32 games with AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season. He should get a chance to make his Chicago debut soon following injuries to Connor Bedard (fractured jaw) and Nick Foligno (fractured finger) in Friday's 4-2 loss to New Jersey.... See More ... Penguins' Rem Pitlick: Placed on waivers Thursday
Pitlick was placed on waivers by the Penguins on Thursday, per CapFriendly. Pitlick was part of the three-team trade in August that brought Erik Karlsson to the Penguins. Pitlick played in 46 games with the Canadiens in 2022-23, scoring six times and adding nine assists. Should he pass through waivers, Pitlick will be sent to AHL Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.... See More ... Penguins' Rem Pitlick: Shipped to Penguins
Pitlick was acquired by Pittsburgh on Sunday as part of a three-team trade with San Jose and Montreal. The Penguins also received Erik Karlsson, Dillon Hamaliuk and a 2026 third-round pick from the Sharks in the deal. Pitlick, who is signed for the 2023-24 season, carries a $1.1 million cap hit. He produced six goals and 15 points in 46 games with the Canadiens last campaign. The 26-year-old forward could occupy a spot in Pittsburgh's bottom six this season.... See More ... See Less -
Canadiens' Rem Pitlick: Finishes wild night in loss
Pitlick scored a power-play goal and had two shots on net over 15:21 of ice time in Thursday's 9-5 loss to Florida, Pitlick finished the scoring on a wild night in Sunrise (Fla.). He one-timed a feed from Mike Matheson for his fifth goal (first on the power play) and has four points over the last five games. Montreal has several injured forwards, including veterans, in various stages of rehab. In theory, any one of them could return and bump Pitlick from the lineup, but with nothing left to play for this season, the organization may opt to keep the 25-year-old employed at the NHL-level.... Canadiens' Rem Pitlick: Good to go Tuesday
Pitlick (undisclosed) will play Tuesday versus Pittsburgh, Patrick Friolet of RDS reports. Pitlick was limited to just 5:08 of ice time in Monday's 8-4 loss to Colorado but won't miss any additional action. He has accounted for 10 points, 26 shots on goal, 15 blocks and 17 hits in 35 games this season.... See More ... See Less -
Canadiens' Rem Pitlick: Injured Monday
Pitlick (undisclosed) was taken to the hospital after being injured Monday against Colorado but is expected to travel with the team to Pittsburgh on Tuesday, Arpon Basu of The Athletic reports. Pitlick logged 5:08 of ice time before falling head-first into the boards and leaving the game. He was cleared at the hospital and will travel with the team, which is a great sign. His status for Tuesday's game is currently unclear.... See More ... See Less -
Canadiens' Rem Pitlick: Hard work pays off
Pitlick had an assist over 14:18 of ice time in Saturday's 3-1 loss to New Jersey. Pitlick swiped the puck from Damon Severson and quickly found Denis Gurianov in front of the net for a late second-period goal. It was the second straight game that Pitlick's dogged work in an opponent's end resulted in a Montreal tally. The 25-year-old has 10 points (four points, six assists) over 34 games.... See More ... Canadiens' Rem Pitlick: Helps on first goal
Pitlick had an assist, one shot on goal, one hit and two penalty minutes over 11:32 of ice time in Thursday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Rangers. Pitlick hopped on a turnover in the offensive zone, initiating a sequence that led to Kaiden Guhle's goal to give the Canadiens and early 1-0 lead. It was just the second point in the last eight games for Pitlick, who has four goals and five assists over 33 contests.... See More ... See Less -
Canadiens' Rem Pitlick: Sets up game-winner
Pitlick registered an assist, two shots on goal and two hits in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Sharks. Pitlick set up Jesse Ylonen's game-winning tally midway through the third period. This was Pitlick's third point over his last six games. The 25-year-old forward is up to four goals, four helpers, 22 shots on net, 13 hits, 13 blocked shots and a minus-9 rating through 28 appearances in a bottom-six role this season.... See More ... Canadiens' Rem Pitlick: Finishes in win
Pitlick scored a goal on two shots and had two hits over 12:40 of ice time in Tuesday's 5-2 win over New Jersey. Pitlick finished a pretty tic-tac-toe sequence for his fourth goal. Christian Dvorak stole the puck and worked a tight give-and-go with Evgenii Dadonov, who found Pitlick on the weak side. The third-line forward has six points over the last 10 contests. With the Canadiens expected to be sellers at the trade deadline, Pitlick could be up with the team for the long haul. After serving as a fourth-liner when first was called up, Pitlick is averaging 14:19 TOI over the last 11 games.... See More ... See Less -
Canadiens' Rem Pitlick: Garners assist in loss
Pitlick had an assist and blocked one shot over 10:14 of ice time in Thursday's 6-2 loss to Carolina. Pitlick was the secondary helper on Michael Pezzetta's strike early in the first period. He had been a healthy scratch for the previous two games but joined the active lineup after the Canadiens' announced Kirby Dach (illness) would not be available.... See More ... See Less -
Canadiens' Rem Pitlick: Two-point night in loss
Pitlick had a goal and an assist in a 6-2 loss to Florida on Thursday. His goal was Montreal's first; it came on a sharp-angle wrister early in the third period. Pitlick now has two goals and one helper in 16 NHL games this season. This was the fourth-liner's first point since Dec. 6.... See More ... See Less -
Canadiens' Rem Pitlick: Called up from minors
Pitlick was elevated from AHL Laval on Tuesday. Pitlick will likely be pressed into service immediately against the Jets on Tuesday after Joel Armia (upper body), Jake Evans (lower body) and Juraj Slafkovsky (lower body) were all placed on injured reserve. During his previous 14 games in the NHL, the 25-year-old center notched one goal, six shots and five hits while averaging 10:14 of ice time, so fantasy players probably shouldn't be expecting a ton of offense out of Pitlick.... Canadiens' Rem Pitlick: Dropped to AHL
Pitlick was loaned to AHL Laval on Sunday. Pitlick, who has played in 14 games with the Canadiens this year, has logged under 10 minutes of ice time in each of his past seven outings. He has recorded one goal, six shots on net, three blocks and five hits this season.... See More ... See Less -
Canadiens' Rem Pitlick: Gets on scoresheet Tuesday
Pitlick scored a goal in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Kraken. Pitlick has played in the last three games, though he's been limited to fourth-line minutes. He got his first point of the year with a second-period tally. The 25-year-old hasn't done much else with just four shots on goal, eight PIM, a minus-2 rating, three hits and three blocked shots in 10 appearances. Compared to his 37 points in 66 outings last year, this has been a disappointing stretch for Pitlick.... See More ... See Less -
Canadiens' Rem Pitlick: Recalled by Montreal
Pitlick has been recalled from AHL Laval on Thursday. Pitlick will take the roster spot of Mike Hoffman, who was placed on injured reserve with a lower-body injury. Pitlick was pointless in seven NHL games before his demotion and had a goal and six points in nine AHL games before his promotion.... See More ... See Less -
Canadiens' Rem Pitlick: Loaned to AHL Laval
Pitlick was loaned to AHL Laval on Friday. Pitlick was recalled Wednesday but was a healthy scratch Thursday against Columbus. The 25-year-old forward had nary a point in seven games with Montreal before his demotion.... See More ... See Less -
Canadiens' Rem Pitlick: Back with big club
Pitlick was recalled by the Canadiens on Thursday. Jonathan Drouin (upper body), who was placed on injured reserve in a corresponding move Thursday, is expected to be sidelined for 4-6 weeks, so Pitlick could be in for an extended stay with the big club. Pitlick's gone scoreless through seven top-level appearances this year.... See More ... See Less -
Canadiens' Rem Pitlick: Fills in on fourth line
Pitlick had three shots on net over 14:50 of ice time in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Stars. Pitlick filled in on the fourth line in place of rookie Juraj Slafkovsky, who sat out with an upper-body injury. He had been a healthy scratch the previous three games after being active for the season's first two contests. Pitlick has zero points, three shots on net, one blocked shot and two PIM while averaging 13:03 TOI.... See More ... See Less
