Mike Harrington@ByMHarrington8H agoInside the NHL: Don Granato is going nowhere but still has to figure out a way to get #Sabres moving. Plus: An interim COO quietly named to replace Roth, the #Pens putrid power play, Derek Lalonde on the # Bills and more! https://t.co/NZPKIOcosZ

Bill Hoppe@BillHoppeNHL16H ago“I’ve talked about the word identity the whole year, ‘We’re still trying to find it.’ ... Those two games are as close to it as we’ve played all year.” More on the #Sabres' missed chances and what they carried over from Boston in Saturday's loss: https://t.co/74T5WBiE6R

Mike Harrington@ByMHarrington17H agoPower plays are a funny thing. There's 17 teams over 20%. #Sabres at 14.1%. And explain the bottom 3: PIT 9.5% (7-74 -- including 0 for last 37!) STL 8.8% (7-80) WSH 8.6% (6-70) It's a mental grind, even for experienced teams/players when it's not working. Gotta keep at it.

Brian Koziol@BrianWGR18H agoGranato says the PP needs more direct play, more decisive play, get shots quicker, "that could've been a difference maker". #Sabres

Brian Koziol@BrianWGR18H agoGranato on last two games: "We've absolutely played at a different level, more physicality, more aggressive, more scrums, better shot mentality...we need more aggressive traits, the process was better...but the result was frustrating." #Sabres

Brian Koziol@BrianWGR18H agoGranato: "We had our chances...plenty of chances to score more than two...just didn't do it." #Sabres

Mike Harrington@ByMHarrington18H agoThat's four straight Saturday losses for #Sabres: at PIT (4-0), at NJD (7-2), at CAR (6-2) and MON (3-2). Remaining three Saturdays in December are at ARZ, at NYR and home vs. #CBJ.
