McLeod assisted on a Dawson Mercer goal in the first period en route to a 3-2 season-ending overtime loss to the Hurricanes on Thursday. McLeod wasn't the biggest producer for New Jersey this postseason. However, depending on how your league scores, he may have managed to be a depth contributor. In Thursday's game, he finished with an assist, a plus-1 rating, three hits, two blocked shots and a shot. Through 12 playoff games, he put up a pair of goals, four assists, a plus-2 rating, 15 PIM, 19 shots, a game-winning goal, one power-play point and two short-handed points. He's no Leon Draisaitl, but McLeod provided depth value.... See More ... See Less

Devils' Michael McLeod: Shorty in Game 7
McLeod scored a shorthanded goal in Monday's 4-0 win over the Rangers. McLeod opened the scoring midway through the first period, grabbing a pass from Ondrej Palat before dekeing around Igor Shesterkin, giving the Devils a 1-0 lead while shorthanded. It's the first goal and the second point of the postseason for McLeod while centering New Jersey's fourth line. He tallied four goals and added 22 assists in 80 regular-season contests.... McLeod (undisclosed) is available to play in Game 1 against the Rangers on Tuesday, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports. McLeod, who sat out the final two games of the regular season, is projected to center the fourth line in his return to the lineup. He accounted for 22 assists, 26 points and 127 hits in 80 games during the 2022-23 campaign.... See More ... See Less -

McLeod (undisclosed) is feeling better but isn't expected to play Tuesday against Buffalo, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports. A timetable hasn't been provided for McLeod's return following his visit with doctors Monday. He hasn't resumed skating since being injured in Saturday's 2-1 loss to Boston. Erik Haula could replace him in the lineup versus the Sabres.... See More ... See Less -
Devils' Michael McLeod: Being evaluated
McLeod (undisclosed) didn't practice Monday and is being evaluated for an injury suffered in Saturday's 2-1 loss to Boston, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports. McLeod was injured on a hit from Bruins forward Brad Marchand in the contest. His availability for Tuesday's matchup with Buffalo appears to be in doubt. McLeod has 26 points and 127 hits in 80 games this season.... See More ... See Less -
Devils' Michael McLeod: Sets up goal in loss
McLeod delivered an assist in Friday's 5-4 loss to the Sabres. McLeod snapped an 11-game point drought with the helper, but it's worth noting that he has career highs in assists (20) and points (24) this season. While the physical center has generated 47 hits and 115 blocked shots as an added bonus for fantasy managers that count defensive stats, his fourth-line role generally makes it tough for him to stand out in fantasy hockey.... Devils' Michael McLeod: Gets two assists Wednesday
McLeod recorded two assists in a 7-5 win over Colorado on Wednesday. McLeod also had a shot and a hit in 13:20 of ice time. He's up to four goals, 23 points, 68 shots and 96 hits in 60 games this season. McLeod has registered four helpers over his last five outings.... See More ... See Less -
Devils' Michael McLeod: Notches two assists
McLeod posted two assists and a plus-3 rating in the Devils' 5-3 win over Carolina on Tuesday. The third star of the game, McLeod would pick up assists on Jesper Boqvist's tying goal and Dawson Mercer's game-winning goal. The former first-round pick snapped a short two-game pointless drought with this two-point performance. On the season, McLeod has four goals and 18 points in 41 games.... See More ... See Less -
Devils' Michael McLeod: Minimal shot volume
McLeod posted a minus-2 rating, one blocked shot and one hit in Thursday's 5-3 loss to St. Louis. McLeod failed to create any momentum after potting his fourth goal of the season in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Red Wings. He was held without a shot Thursday and has only eight shots on goal in his last nine games.... See More ... See Less -
Devils' Michael McLeod: Scores in victory
McLeod scored a goal on three shots in Monday's 5-3 win over the Rangers. McLeod cleaned up a rebound opportunity after Miles Wood hit the crossbar on an odd-man rush. The goal would extend New Jersey's lead to 4-2 and would eventually prove to be the game-winner in the 5-3 victory. McLeod has found some success centering the Devils' third line between Wood and Fabian Zetterlund. He now has 11 points (three goals, eight assists), putting McLeod well on-pace to surpass his career high of 20 set last season.... See More ... See Less -
Devils' Michael McLeod: Caps Saturday's scoring
McLeod scored into an open net during Saturday's 5-1 victory over the host Senators. McLeod, who failed to generate a shot during his previous three appearances, earned a coaching reward by skating on a shift with the goalie pulled Saturday. Finishing with four shots, two PIM and a plus-2 rating, the 24-year-old center earned 13:50 of ice time, his most since Oct. 30, a span of nine outings. McLeod's empty-net goal was his first in seven games.... See More ... See Less -
Devils' Michael McLeod: Stays warm Saturday
McLeod posted an assist, two hits and two blocked shots in Saturday's 4-3 overtime win over the Flames. McLeod set up Miles Wood's tally at 16:38 of the first period. The assist gave McLeod a four-game point streak, and all six of his points this season (one goal, five helpers) have come in the last seven games. He's added 14 shots on net, 17 hits, seven blocked shots and a plus-2 rating through 12 contests as the Devils' preferred fourth-line center.... See More ... See Less -
Devils' Michael McLeod: Scores 20 points
McLeod racked up six goals and 14 assists over 77 appearances in 2021-22. McLeod reached the 20-point mark for the first time, though his goal total was disappointing after he lit the lamp nine times in just 52 games the previous season. He worked primarily as the fourth-line center for the Devils this season, and McLeod's likely to remain in that role next year.... See More ... See Less -
Devils' Michael McLeod: Nabs assist Monday
McLeod posted an assist, two hits and two blocked shots in Monday's 3-2 win over the Golden Knights. McLeod has picked up three assists in his last two games. He set up a Nathan Bastian tally in Monday's upset win. McLeod has been solid as the Devils' fourth-line center with 19 points, 76 shots on net, 132 hits, 48 PIM and a minus-13 rating through 71 appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Devils' Michael McLeod: Distributes pair of helpers
McLeod notched two assists, two hits and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Kraken. McLeod helped out on goals by Jesper Bratt and Damon Severson in this contest. This was McLeod's third multi-point effort of the season. The 24-year-old center is still stuck in a 26-game goal drought, but he's up to 18 points, 75 shots on net, 130 hits, 48 PIM and a minus-14 rating through 70 appearances. He'll likely continue to log bottom-six minutes as he has for much of the campaign.... See More ... See Less -
Devils' Michael McLeod: Big role on penalty kill
McLeod had two shots and four hits in Friday's 3-1 loss to the Rangers. McLeod's more valuable to the Devils than he is in fantasy, as the fourth-line center brings sound defensive play and some physicality to the table. He led all New Jersey forwards with 3:26 of shorthanded TOI in this one but remains stuck on 15 points, which is tied with last season's output for McLeod's career high.... See More ... See Less -
Devils' Michael McLeod: Nets goal Thursday
McLeod scored a goal and added two PIM in Thursday's 7-4 win over the Blues. With three goals in his last two games, McLeod is making an impact from the fourth line. His tally Thursday came at 15:07 of the first period. The 24-year-old center has 14 points, 52 shots on net, 90 hits, 28 PIM and a minus-1 rating in 44 contests overall in his second season as a regular in the Devils' lineup.... See More ... See Less -
Devils' Michael McLeod: Leads charge in blowout win
McLeod potted two goals in Tuesday's 7-1 win in Montreal. McLeod scored the first and fifth goals of New Jersey's seven-goal onslaught, as the Devils beat up on the league-worst Montreal defense to snap a seven-game losing streak. The 24-year-old center has just 14 goals in 128 career games, but this was actually the second multi-goal game of McLeod's career, as he lit the lamp twice in Buffalo on Jan. 31 of last year. His fourth-line role on a rebuilding Devils team will continue to keep McLeod off the fantasy radar in most formats.... See More ... See Less -
Devils' Michael McLeod: Cleared to play Monday
McLeod (undisclosed) has been given the green light to play in Monday's clash with Ottawa, Amanda Stein of the Devils' official site reports. With Jack Hughes landing in the league's COVID-19 protocols, McLeod's return to the lineup is well-timed, though he's far from a one-for-one replacement. Still, the 24-year-old McLeod has put together a decent start to the year with 11 points in 41 games this year and should be in line to reach the 20-point mark for the first time in his NHL career....
