Bonino signed a one-year, $800,000 deal with the Rangers on Saturday, per Dan Rosen of NHL.com.
Bonino should slot in as the Rangers' fourth-line center after posting 19 points (10 goals, nine assists) in 62 games between the Sharks and Penguins last season. The 35-year-old pivot has 158 goals and 195 assists in his 15-year NHL career.

Penguins' Nick Bonino: Lifted from LTIR
Bonino (kidney laceration) was activated from long-term injured reserve Tuesday, per CapFriendly.
Bonino wasn't in the lineup past March 9 due to the injury, and the Penguins missing the playoffs meant he didn't get a chance to return. The 35-year-old forward is set to be a free agent this summer, and it's possible a number of teams would be interested in signing him as a solid defensive center in a bottom-six role. He had 19 points in 62 contests between the Sharks and the Penguins in 2022-23.

Bonino is eligible to return for the final two games of the regular season but that isn't a sure thing. Bonino underwent surgery following his injury versus the Islanders and there is currently no timetable for his return. He has 10 goals and 19 points in 62 games this season.

Penguins' Nick Bonino: Out week-to-week
Bonino (kidney laceration) is out week-to-week, according to coach Mike Sullivan, Matt Vensel of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Bonino was injured Thursday against the Islanders and underwent surgery. He was picked up at the trade deadline and managed to get into three games with the Penguins, averaging 9:50 TOI per game without a point. Bonino had 10 goals and 19 points in 59 games with the Sharks before the trade. He is expected to be released from the hospital Saturday.

Penguins' Nick Bonino: Sent to Pittsburgh
The Penguins acquired Bonino from the Sharks in exchange for Arvid Henrikson, a conditional 2024 fifth-round selection and a 2023 seventh-round pick Friday.
Montreal was also involved in the trade to help with the Penguins' salary-cap situation, picking up Tony Sund and the Sharks' fifth-round pick in 2024 in the process. Bonino played a couple of seasons with Pittsburgh back in the team's Stanley Cup winning seasons of 2015-16 and 2016-17. The 34-year-old has 10 goals and 19 points in 59 games this season.
