Browns' Luke Wypler: Going to IR
Cleveland placed Wypler (ankle) on its injured reserve list Tuesday, Kelsey Russo of the Browns' official site reports.
Without a designation to return, Wypler is now in line to sit out the entire 2024 season as he recovers from a fractured ankle he sustained during the preseason. His absence leaves a spot on the 53-man roster open for Nick Harris.

Browns' Luke Wypler: Carted off field
Wypler was carted off the field during Saturday's preseason game against the Packers due to a right ankle injury and he will not return, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
Wypler went down after his right ankle was caught underneath an attempted tackle. His right leg was wrapped in an air cast before being carted off the field, and the hope for the Browns and the 2023 sixth-round pick is that he avoided serious injury.

Browns' Luke Wypler: Suffers broken ankle
Wypler will undergo surgery to repair a broken right ankle he sustained in Saturday's 23-10 preseason loss to the Packers, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
The timeline for Wypler's return won't likely be known until after he undergoes the procedure, but the second-year lineman will likely miss the first few games of the regular season. The 2023 sixth-round pick appeared in five regular-season games for the Browns last season, including a start in Week 18 against the Bengals.

Browns' Luke Wypler: Stays in-state with Cleveland
The Browns selected Wypler in the sixth round of the NFL Draft, 190th overall.
Wypler becomes the first interior offensive lineman drafted by the Browns this year and stays in-state after starting for Ohio State the past two seasons. Intelligence is typically the first qualifier associated with the soon-to-be 22-year-old, but his shorter arms and smaller stature essentially guarantee he'll be either a guard, or more likely, a center at the NFL level.
