Tart is signing a contract with the Dolphins on Friday, Jordan Schultz of BleacherReport.com reports. Tart made 13 appearances between the Titans and Texans last year, totaling 24 tackles (17 solo), including a sack. Several teams expressed interest in the 27-year-old during the offseason, but he'll attempt to carve out a role in Miami in 2024.... See More ... See Less

Teair Tart: Waived Saturday
Tart was waived by the Texans on Saturday, Ben Arthur of FoxSports.com reports. Tart's departure comes after he missled the Titans' Week 14 game due to personal reasons. It is unclear if that situation is what led to his release. The defensive tackle played 30 defensive snaps (43 percent) in Tennessee's most recent game. Jaleel Johnson is the most likely candidate to replace his nose tackle snaps.... See More ... See Less -
Titans' Teair Tart: Won't suit up vs. Texans
Tart (personal) is out for Sunday's game versus the Texans, Turron Davenport of ESPN.com reports. Tart will miss his third game of the season Sunday for personal reasons. Jeffery Simmons (knee) is also out for Week 15, and Denico Autry (knee) is questionable, so Tennessee could end up being vulnerable to a typically tame Houston rushing attack.... See More ... Titans' Teair Tart: Questionable for Week 6
Tart (toe) is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Ravens. Tart upgraded to a limited practice session Friday after missing the previous two days, which could bode well for his chances of taking the field Sunday. If he does have to miss more time, however, Kyle Peko will stand to once again handle an increased role.... See More ... See Less -
Titans' Teair Tart: Won't play at Indianapolis
Tart (knee) is listed as out for Sunday's game at the Colts, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Tart was able to play through the knee issue he's been dealing with in Week 4, but he'll now have to sit out at least one game as he works his way back. Kyle Peko could draw a start at defensive tackle with Tart sidelined.... See More ... See Less -
Titans' Teair Tart: Gets questionable tag
Tart (knee) is considered questionable for Sunday's matchup with the Bengals. Tart tallied back-to-back limited practices to close the week after being a nonparticipant Wednesday. He is looking like a true game-time decision Sunday. Naquan Jones would be the prime candidate to replace him at nose tackle should he not get the go-ahead.... See More ... See Less -
Titans' Teair Tart: Officially signs RFA tender
Tart signed his restricted free agent tender worth $4.3 million Monday, Mike Moraitis of USA Today reports. Despite not signing the tender, Tart was still participating in the Titans' offseason program after signing a waiver, per Jim Wyatt of the team's official site. The undrafted product out of Florida International has developed into a starter over the past three seasons and finished the 2022 campaign with 34 tackles, 1.5 sacks and an interception across 16 appearances (485 defensive snaps).... Titans' Teair Tart: Inactive Saturday
Tart (ankle) is inactive for Saturday's divisional-round matchup against the Bengals. Tart tested his injury during pregame warmups Saturday but will be unable to take the field during the Titans' first playoff game. Naquan Jones and Kyle Peko should see additional playing time against Cincinnati.... See More ... See Less -
Titans' Teair Tart: Back to full practice
Tart (groin) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Jim Wyatt of the Titans' official site reports. Tart was forced to miss the team's Week 8 contest against the Colts with a groin injury. However, he logged a limited practice Wednesday before progressing to full participation Thursday. Barring a setback, he should return to a significant role along the Titans' defensive line Sunday against the Rams.... See More ... See Less -
Titans' Teair Tart: Won't play Sunday
Tart (groin) is inactive Sunday against the Colts. Tart was questionable last week, but ultimately suited up against Kansas City, however he did play less snaps than usual. Tart's absence will likely open up playing time for undrafted rookie Naquan Jones. He will try to return to action in Week 9 against the Rams.... See More ... See Less -
Titans' Teair Tart: Returns from COVID list
The Titans activated Tart from the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday. After missing Week 17 and the wild-card matchup against the Ravens, Tart cleared the league's COVID-19 protocols and will be able to rejoin his team. The defensive tackle notched five tackles (two solo) and one pass breakup though seven games in the 2020 campaign.... See More ... See Less -
Titans' Teair Tart: Receives suspension notice
Tart has been suspended one game for violating the NFL's unnecessary roughness and unsportsmanlike conduct rules, Michael Signora of NFL Communications reports. Tart will go without pay for one week after purposely stepping on an opponent during Sunday's 41-35 loss to the Browns. The 23-year-old defensive tackle has appeared in each of Tennessee's past five games, fielding an average of 21.2 defensive snaps per contest. Without Tart available Week 14 for a road trip to Jacksonville, depth along the interior will be depleted behind starting nose tackle DaQuan Jones.... See More ... See Less
