Jets' Neal Johnson: Signs back with New York
The Jets signed Johnson to a reserve/future contract Tuesday.
After going undrafted out of Louisiana in the 2024 NFL Draft, Johnson signed with the Rams and then had brief tenures with the Vikings and Jets. He's still looking for his first career snap in a regular-season contest. Johnson will compete for a job this coming offseason.

Johnson was let go by the Jets just two days prior to finding a new home in Minnesota. Expect the rookie out of Louisiana to compete for a depth role in the Vikings' tight end room as the preseason continues.

Johnson signed with the Rams as an undrafted free agent in May, but he was let go by Los Angeles on Tuesday. After clearing waivers, the 23-year-old tight end caught on with the Jets, and he'll look to compete for a depth spot at tight end.
