Steelers' Cole Holcomb: Heads to IR
Pittsburgh placed Holcomb (knee) on injured reserve Monday, Teresa Varley of the Steelers' official site reports.
As expected, Holcomb is now poised to spend the rest of the campaign on the injured reserve list after sustaining a severe knee injury Thursday versus Tennessee. In his place, Elandon Roberts should garner a larger role for the remainder of the year.

Steelers' Cole Holcomb: Requires season-ending surgery
Holcomb will undergo surgery for the knee injury he suffered Thursday and miss the rest of the season, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Holcomb was carted off the field and sent to the hospital after he suffered the injury during the first half of Thursday's game against the Titans. He's since been discharged after spending the night in the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery, though he won't return to the field this season for Pittsburgh.

Steelers' Cole Holcomb: Carted off Thursday
Holcomb was carted off the field during Thursday night's game against the Titans with what appeared to be a serious knee injury, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
The linebacker assisted on two tackles before exiting in the first half. Holcomb signed a three-year with the Steelers in the offseason after spending his first four seasons with Washington. In the first seven games of 2023, he recorded 52 tackles, two passes defensed, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.

Steelers' Cole Holcomb: Team tackle leader in loss
Holcomb had 11 tackles (seven solo) and a fumble recovery in Sunday's 20-10 loss to the Jaguars.
He recovered a fumble forced by Kwon Alexander on Evan Engram late in the first quarter to stop the Jaguars' drive deep in Steelers territory. Holcomb's 11 tackles were a season-high and the first time he's registered double-digit takedowns since Week 6 of the 2022 season. Holcomb once again played in every single defensive snap Sunday and has done so in all but one game this season.

Holcomb logged eight tackles (five solo) during Pittsburgh's 24-17 win versus the Rams on Sunday.
Holcomb was once again productive Sunday and ended up finishing second on the team in total tackles. The 27-year-old has now logged at least five tackles in all six games this season, bringing his total to 42 (25 solo), and Holcomb will look to add to those totals this week versus Jacksonville.
