  • Jaguars' Tevaughn Campbell: Won't debut Sunday

Campbell (not injury related) has been ruled out for Sunday's matchup against the Broncos. Campbell signed with the Jaguars on Thursday following the placement of Shaquill Griffin (back) on injured reserve. Campbell will remain out for Week 8 as he presumably tries to learn his new team's playbook. The undrafted defensive back appeared in 30 contests over the last two campaigns with the Chargers, but he's yet to play in a game this season.

  • Tevaughn Campbell: Let go by Bolts

  • Chargers' Tevaughn Campbell: Goes on COVID-19 list

The Chargers placed Campbell on the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday. According to Jeff Miller of the Los Angeles Times, head coach Brandon Staley labeled Campbell as day-to-day, which would seem to suggest that the 28-year-old cornerback is on the list as a vaccinated player that tested positive for the virus. Per the NFL's new COVID-19 protocols, Campbell will be eligible to rejoin the team as soon as he's deemed to be asymptomatic. Campbell thus has an outside shot of gaining clearance prior to Sunday's game against the Texans. He's appeared in all 14 of the Chargers' games to date, logging 40 tackles, four pass breakups and two forced fumbles.

  • Tevaughn Campbell: Waived by Chargers

The Chargers waived Campbell on Monday. With Michael Davis expected to be reinstated from a two-game suspension for Week 15, the Chargers cleared room on the roster for him. Campbell will look to latch onto another roster around the league, but he's more likely to be a practice squad candidate.

  • Chargers' Tevaughn Campbell: Achieves promotion

The Chargers activated Campbell to their 53-man roster from the practice squad Tuesday. This will be the first NFL roster Campbell was able to crack, as he played college football for the University of Regina in Canada. Campbell played a total of 42 games in the CFL from 2015 to 2018, making 62 tackles, one sack and four interceptions in that span. He'll likely serve a depth role on defense and chip in on special teams should he see the field for the Chargers.
