  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: Quiet 2023 campaign

Brown caught 12 of 23 targets for 168 yards and a touchdown in 17 games during the 2023 season. The 2021 third-round pick had a quiet year apart from his 35-yard, game-tying touchdown in the final minute of an eventual loss to the Seahawks on Nov. 12. Brown had just two catches for seven yards the rest of the season and played more snaps on special teams than offense in each of Washington's final five games. He'll need to compete for a roster spot in 2024, the final year of his rookie contract.

  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: Held to one catch

Brown caught one of three targets for seven yards in Sunday's loss to the Giants. An early ejection for Curtis Samuel didn't have much impact on Brown's playing time, as Byron Pringle and Jamison Crowder also took on some of the responsibilities of the No. 3 WR role. There's not much fantasy potential in an offense where even the top two wideouts -- Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson -- are struggling to produce.

  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: Scores game-tying TD

Brown caught both of his targets for 41 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 29-26 loss at Seattle. Brown played only 18 percent of snaps with Curtis Samuel returning from a toe/foot injury, but one of those plays was a 35-yard, game-tying TD with less than a minute remaining. The Seahawks responded with a field goal shortly thereafter, and Brown likely is looking at a depth role again in Week 11 against the Giants.

  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: Puts up 33 yards

Brown caught two of four targets for 33 yards in Sunday's 20-17 win over the Patriots. Brown took advantage of a small bump in playing time with Curtis Samuel (foot) inactive, though Jamison Crowder was the primary replacement in the slot and got 14 more snaps than Brown (37-23). Brown and Byron Pringle should continue rotating in Week 10 at Seattle, but neither is likely to see more than three or four targets.

  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: Goes without catch in Week 6

Brown failed to reel in his lone target across 11 snaps on offense in Sunday's 24-16 win over Atlanta. Brown's 11 snaps tied his lowest total of the season. As the No. 4 receiver on the Washington depth chart, Brown will have a limited role on offense so long as all of Terry McLaurin, Jahan Dotson and Curtis Samuel are healthy.

  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: Two grabs in loss

Brown secured two of this three targets for 51 yards in Sunday's 34-31 overtime loss to the Eagles. Brown operated as the Commanders' No. 4 receiver Sunday, playing 25 of the team's 78 offensive snaps. Despite his limited opportunities, the veteran wideout was able to record his highest yardage total of the season so far. Even so, Brown is extremely difficult to trust for consistent fantasy production playing behind fellow pass catchers Terry McLaurin, Jahan Dotson, Curtis Samuel and Logan Thomas in Washington's passing attack. The Commanders will host the Bears in Week 5.

  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: No catches

Brown was held without a catch on one target in Sunday's 37-3 loss to the Bills. The new Washington offense hasn't even been fruitful for the team's top three wide receivers, and Brown has caught only three passes in three weeks coming off the bench as the No. 4. He'll likely handle the same role Week 4 at Philadelphia.

  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: Catches three passes

Brown caught each of his three targets for 25 yards in Sunday's 35-33 win over the Broncos. Brown has played 27 and now 33 percent of snaps in Washington's first two games, running routes on around one-third of Sam Howell's dropbacks as the No. 4 receiver. While unlikely to usurp Terry McLaurin, Jahan Dotson or Curtis Samuel on the depth chart, Brown could become a near-every-down player if one of the three misses time with an injury (especially McLaurin/Dotson). The whole group seemed to finish Sunday's win healthy, likely leaving Brown as the No. 4 WR again for Week 3 against Buffalo.

  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: Scores TD, avoids concussion

Brown caught two of six targets for 27 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 29-28 win over Baltimore. Brown was the No. 4 WR for the first-team offense and scored a touchdown at the end of the first half after Terry McLaurin left with a toe injury. Brown also took a few snaps prior to McLaurin's exit, and later played with the second-stringers after halftime, hauling in a 16-yard catch from Jacoby Brissett. To cap off his eventful night, Brown left the game to be checked for a concussion, and while he was quickly cleared he sat out the rest of the game anyway. The 2021 third-round pick has had a disappointing first two seasons in the NFL, but reports out of camp this year have been far more positive and it's possible McLaurin's toe injury opens up a top-three spot for Brown at WR in Week 1 against Arizona.

  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: Clears concussion check

Brown (head) was cleared to return to Monday night's preseason game against the Ravens. Brown took a shot to the back of the head in the third quarter and had to be checked for a concussion. He evidently passed the sideline tests.

  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: Getting checked for concussion

Brown exited Monday night's preseason game against the Ravens early to be checked for a concussion, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports. Prior to leaving in the third quarter, Brown was targeted six times and caught two passes for 27 yards, including an 11-yard touchdown from Sam Howell just before halftime. Brown is expected to open the season as the Commanders' fourth wideout.

  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: Quiet year after Week 5

Brown finished the 2022 season with five catches for 143 yards and two touchdowns on 14 targets. The 2021 third-round pick made 15 appearances without ever playing even one-third of Washington's offensive snaps, though he did nearly lead the team to victory with TD catches of 75 and 30 yards in a 21-17 loss to the Titans in Week 5. Brown had caught just one pass before that and added only two more the rest of the season, while rookie wideout Jahan Dotson emerged as the big-play threat opposite Terry McLaurin with a 35-523-7 receiving line in 12 games. Brown may find himself on the roster bubble heading into 2023, as he has 308 receiving yards through two seasons and hasn't contributed much on special teams either.

  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: Limited role in passing attack

Brown played 14 of the Commanders' 60 snaps on offense and finished with a 17-yard reception in Sunday's 19-13 win over the Falcons. Brown has logged just 19 combined snaps on offense in Washington's past two games and doesn't look as though he'll be in store for much playing time so long as fellow receivers Terry McLaurin, Curtis Samuel and Jahan Dotson are available moving forward.

  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: Held without a catch

Brown finished without a catch on one target in Sunday's 20-17 loss to Minnesota. Brown and Cam Sims essentially split the No. 3 WR role with Jahan Dotson (hamstring) missing another game, only it was Dax Milne who found the end zone on his lone target while playing just 16 percent of snaps. None of the bunch projects for much target volume in an offense built around Terry McLaurin, Curtis Samuel and the running backs. Brown at least seems to have moved past the groin injury that held him out Week 8, so it's possible he takes more snaps away from Sims if Dotson misses another game Week 10 at Philadelphia.

  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: Iffy for Week 8

The Commanders list Brown (groin) as questionable for Sunday's game against the Colts, Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports reports. After not practicing in any capacity last week before sitting out the Commanders' eventual win over the Packers, Brown was back on the field as a limited participant this week. It's unclear if the increased practice activity will be enough for Brown to gain clearance to play Sunday, but if he does, he'll likely be stepping into the No. 3 role at receiver behind Terry McLaurin and Curtis Samuel while rookie first-round pick Jahan Dotson (hamstring) misses a fourth consecutive game.

  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: Takes limited reps Thursday

Brown (groin) was a limited participant in Thursday's practice. Brown's limited activity marks no change from Wednesday, but his ability to maintain that level of participation is at least a positive sign after he failed to practice in any capacity last week before sitting out Washington's win over the Packers. If Brown gets cleared to play Sunday in Indianapolis, he could serve as the Commanders' No. 3 wideout behind Terry McLaurin and Curtis Samuel with rookie first-round pick Jahan Dotson (hamstring) trending toward missing his fourth consecutive game.

  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: Won't play this week

Brown (groin) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Green Bay, John Keim of ESPN.com reports. With Jahan Dotson (hamstring) listed as questionable and perhaps more on the doubtful side, Brown might've had a chance to step up as the No. 3 receiver this week. Instead, Cam Sims is most likely to get that opportunity if Dotson is inactive or limited come Sunday.

  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: Plays only three snaps

Brown played only three snaps on offense in Thursday's 12-7 win over Chicago, finishing with one incomplete target. Brown was the star for Washington four days earlier, catching two of four targets for 105 yards and two touchdowns in a 21-17 loss to Tennessee. Even then he played only 32 percent of snaps with Jahan Dotson (hamstring) out of the lineup, while Cam Sims took 59 percent. Brown then showed up on the Week 6 injury report with a quad injury, which likely was a factor in his playing time being scaled back Thursday. Sims caught just one pass for six yards while playing 72 percent of snaps, so Brown could have a larger role Week 7 against Green Bay if his groin injury improves and if Dotson remains out of the lineup.

  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: On track to play

Brown (groin), who is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Bears, is expected to play, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Washington has already ruled out wideout Jahan Dotson (hamstring) and tight end Logan Thomas (calf) for the second straight week, but Brown looks like he'll avoid an absence due to the groin issue that resulted in him being listed as a limited practice participant Monday through Wednesday. While Dotson was sidelined for the Week 5 loss to the Titans, Brown stepped up to deliver 75- and 30-yard touchdown receptions, but he didn't reel in either of his other two targets across his 20 snaps on offense on the afternoon. Assuming he avoids the inactive list, Brown could step into a larger role Thursday on the heels of his big performance, but his projected target volume still might not be large enough to make him a reliable fantasy option in most leagues.

  • Commanders' Dyami Brown: Limited in practice again

Brown (groin) logged another limited practice Tuesday, John Keim of ESPN.com reports. Brown was also a limited participant on the team's estimated practice report Monday. With the team taking the field Thursday against the Bears, his inability to log a full practice two days out will make his status for Wednesday worth watching. This is especially true with Jahan Dotson (hamstring) still unable to practice, because if both were to sit, Cam Sims and Dax Milne would be worth a look in single-game DFS contests Thursday.
