Thomas (hand) is expected to miss Sunday's game against the Jaguars, Jonathan M. Alexander of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Thomas suffered a broken hand in Sunday's 31-20 loss to the Colts and underwent surgery, so it comes as no surprise that he's expected to be sidelined for Week 3. Texans' Tavierre Thomas: Re-signs with Houston
The Texans re-signed Thomas on a one-year, $3 million deal Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Thomas appeared in just 10 games last season, spending the first seven weeks on IR with a quadriceps injury. The veteran corner finished the season with 41 tackles (23 solo), one pass defensed and two forced fumbles. Thomas will likely find himself in a rotational role once again heading into the 2023 campaign.

Thomas spent the first seven weeks of the season on Houston's IR with a quadriceps injury before being designated to return to practice last Wednesday. Now, the second-year cornerback will be available to suit up for the first heading into Thursday's game against the Eagles.
