  • Dolphins' Braylon Sanders: Gets reserve/future deal from Miami

The Dolphins signed Sanders to a reserve/future contract Monday. Sanders was originally signed by Miami as an unrestricted free agent in 2022 and got into three contests that season, catching two of three targets for 17 yards over 32 offensive snaps. He remained with the Dolphins last year and spent the campaign on the organization's practice squad. Sanders will have another chance to work for a roster spot during training camp this summer.

  • Dolphins' Braylon Sanders: Injury considered minor

Sanders suffered what head coach Mike McDaniel is calling a "lower-body" injury with no structural damage, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports. Sanders' injury was reported to be knee-related Tuesday when he needed to be carted off the practice field during 11-on-11 drills. Ultimately, this is good news for Sanders, who McDaniels expects to be able to return to practice next week. The 24-year-old is likely on the outside looking in regarding the 53-man roster, although Oyefusi does believe the Ole Miss product is having a good camp.

  • Braylon Sanders: Back to Miami's practice sqaud

Sanders reverted to Miami's practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log. Sanders was elevated to the active roster for Week 8 and made his NFL debut, playing 14 of Miami's 68 offensive snaps. The undrafted rookie out of Ole Miss caught both of his targets for 17 yards, though he did lose a fumble trying to get extra yards following one of his receptions. The Dolphins' wideout corps is relatively healthy heading into Sunday's matchup against the Bears, so it appears unlikely Sanders sees a second straight elevation.
