Stone recorded four tackles (three solo), a pass deflection and an interception during the Ravens' 31-24 win against Arizona on Sunday. Stone logged his fifth interception of the season, which currently leads the league. The 24-year-old is filling in for Marcus Williams who's out with a hamstring injury, but with Williams nearing his return, Stone could find himself relegated to a smaller role.... See More ... Ravens' Geno Stone: Snags interception in win
Stone registered three tackles (three solo), an interception and a pass deflection in Sunday's 38-6 win versus the Lions. Stone has recorded an interception in the past two games and now has four total on the year. The 27-year-old has served as the team's starter for four games this year with Marcus Williams (hamstring) out and should continue to do so in Week 8 against the Cardinals if Williams is unable to play again.... Ravens' Geno Stone: Starting Sunday
Stone is expected to fill in for an injured Marcus Williams (pectoral) ahead of Sunday's game against Cincinnati, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports. Stone appeared in 16 games and tallied seven starts during Baltimore's 2022 campaign, racking up 38 total tackles and one forced fumble. The fourth-year safety projects to return to a backup role once Williams returns from his pectoral injury.... See More ... See Less -
Ravens' Geno Stone: Returns to practice Monday
Stone (ankle) returned to practice Monday, Clifton Brown of the Ravens' official site reports. Stone wasn't practicing to start training camp due to an ankle injury, but it appears he's put the issue behind him. Last year, the 2020 seventh-round pick appeared in all 17 games and recorded 38 tackles, one pass defense and one forced fumble.... See More ... See Less -
Ravens' Geno Stone: Activated off COVID-19 list
Stone was activated off the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, Clifton Brown of the Ravens' official site reports. Stone tested positive for the virus and was sidelined for the Ravens' Week 16 loss to the Bengals. However, he will likely reclaim his usual backup safety role for Week 17.... See More ... See Less -
Ravens' Geno Stone: Won't play Monday
Stone (thigh) is inactive for Monday's game versus the Colts, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports. Stone was listed as questionable with the thigh injury and won't be available Monday. The 2020 seventh-round pick has played only 12 defensive snaps through four games, so the Baltimore defense shouldn't be significantly affected by his absence.... See More ... See Less -
Ravens' Geno Stone: Tests positive Tuesday
Stone tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports. Stone was the only Raven to report a positive test Tuesday, the 10th straight day of a positive test for Baltimore. The game is still set to be played Wednesday afternoon, so Smith will have to miss the contest. The rookie has only been active for two games this season.... See More ... See Less -
Geno Stone: Joins Ravens' practice squad
Stone was waived by the Ravens earlier in the week and ultimately reverted back to their practice squad after going unclaimed, Ryan Mink of the team's official website reports. While Stone made it through final roster cuts entering the season, he had yet to be activated to the gameday roster. He will now look to make an impression on the practice squad.... See More ... Ravens' Geno Stone: Baltimore adds in seventh round
The Ravens selected Stone in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft, 219th overall. Stone (5-foot-10, 207) was a useful player for Iowa but it's difficult to see how he sticks as more than a special teams type in the NFL. He didn't post much production at Iowa, and it's probably his lack of athleticism that caused that outcome (4.62-second 40, 33.5-inch vertical, 116-inch broad jump).... See More ... See Less
