Lions' Maurice Alexander: Signs with Detroit
The Lions signed Alexander on Wednesday, Kyle Meinke of MLive.com reports.
Alexander hasn't played a down in the NFL since 2019, when he filled in at linebacker in Buffalo despite having played most of his career snaps before that as a safety. The Lions don't necessarily have a wealth of depth at linebacker behind Alex Anzalone and Julian Okwara, but even still, Alexander isn't likely to see many snaps this season even if he can crack Detroit's 53-man roster.

Maurice Alexander: Candidate for Cleveland?
Alexander (calf) could draw interest from the Browns in the wake of Mack Wilson (knee) suffering a multi-week injury, Scott Patsko of Cleveland.com reports.
Alexander has played most of his career snaps at safety, but he appeared in seven contests as a weak-side linebacker in Buffalo last season. A calf injury caused him to end the 2019 campaign on IR, but now that he's healthy, Alexander could serve as an emergency option for the Browns.

Alexander signed a contract with the Seahawks on Wednesday and could start at strong safety Sunday against the Rams, Gregg Bell of The News Tribune reports.
Alexander is expected to start at strong safety during Sunday's matchup, moving Bradley McDougald over to free safety ahead of Tedric Thompson. The fifth-year safety spent training camp with the Seahawks, so picking up the playbook shouldn't be much of an issue. Alexander is also expected to serve as the primary backup at weakside linebacker following the suspension of Mychal Kendricks.
