KeiVarae Russell: Gets cut Tuesday
Russell was released by the Saints on Monday, John Hendrix of SI.com reports.
Russell played in two games for the Saints last season, only appearing on special teams. He was originally a third-round selection of Kansas City in 2016 but was cut during training camp that year and then spent three seasons with the Bengals, never appearing in more than eight games. Russell will now work to find a new team for the 2022 season.

Russell missed over a week after testing positive for COVID-19. It is unclear if he will suit up for the final preseason contest this Saturday. The 27-year-old has appeared in just one regular-season game since 2018. He is competing with Natrell Jamerson for a backup role behind Ken Crawley.
