Patriots vs. Jets Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Sunday's NFL game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Patriots vs. Jets football game
3rd Quarter Report
The Jets and the Patriots have shown up to the game, but their offenses sure haven't. After three quarters, neither squad has the matchup in the bag, but the Jets lead 6-3 over the Patriots.
If the Jets keep playing like this, they'll bump their record up to 7-10 in no time. On the other hand, the Patriots will have to make due with a 4-13 record unless they turn things around (and fast).
Preview
The Jets are 0-10 against the Patriots since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Sunday. The New York Jets will head out on the road to face off against the New England Patriots at 1:00 p.m. ET at Gillette Stadium. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Thursday, things could have been worse for the Jets, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 37-20 loss to the Browns.
Despite the loss, the Jets had strong showings from Breece Hall, who gained 126 total yards and a touchdown, and Trevor Siemian, who threw for 261 yards and a touchdown while completing 71.1% of his passes. Those 261 passing yards set a new season-high mark for him. Jermaine Johnson made the highlight reel by snagging an interception in the second quarter, and taking it all the way to the house.
Meanwhile, New England started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Buffalo. They fell 27-21 to the Bills on Sunday.
New York has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for New England, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12.
The Jets are hoping to beat the odds on Sunday, as the experts think they're headed for a loss. Both teams have had problems against the spread this season as they are both 5-10-1.
