Several young quarterbacks will be in the spotlight as Week 3 of the 2021 NFL preseason comes to a conclusion on Sunday. San Francisco's Trey Lance and New England's Mac Jones are both expected to see plenty of reps for their respective squads. Cincinnati's Joe Burrow, meanwhile, will start for the first time since tearing his ACL last November. Former first-round pick Josh Rosen will also debut for his sixth NFL team in four years as he competes for the backup role in Atlanta.

The preseason always brings challenges for setting NFL DFS lineups on FanDuel and DraftKings, but the right ones can lead to some big payouts. Who are the best values in the NFL DFS player pool at quarterback and other positions for Sunday's slate? Before locking in any 2021 NFL preseason DFS picks for Sunday's slate, be sure to check out the NFL DFS advice, player rankings, stacks and top daily Fantasy football picks from SportsLine's Scott Engel

Engel is a prime source to consult for DFS success. He's an inaugural member of the Fantasy Sports Writers Association's Hall of Fame and has been a premier analyst and Fantasy personality for 25 years.

He is a four-time FSWA Award Winner and 10-time nominee. In 2020, Engel was a finalist for the FSWA Fantasy Football Writer of the Year Award, which he also won previously. His expertise allows him to find the best DFS values and create optimal lineups that he shares only with members at SportsLine.

On Monday, Engel had Saints quarterback Jameis Winston as one of his top picks FanDuel and DraftKings. The result: Winston went 9-of-10 passing for 123 yards and two touchdowns. Anybody who had Winston in their lineups was well on the way to a profitable day.

Now, Engel has turned his attention to the 2021 NFL preseason and locked in his top daily Fantasy football picks for Sunday. You can only see them by heading to SportsLine.

Top Sunday NFL DFS picks for Week 3

For 2021 NFL Preseason Week 3 on Sunday, Engel is high on 49ers quarterback Trey Lance (every player is $6,000 on FanDuel and $5,500 on DraftKings). The Niners are planning on starting Jimmy Garoppolo against the Raiders. But coach Kyle Shanahan said he expects to mix Lance in with the starters as well.

Lance has led the Niners in passing this preseason, going 13-of-28 for 230 yards, three touchdowns and one interception in two games. The Raiders, meanwhile, gave up 208 passing yards -- and 41 yards on the ground -- to Rams backup Bryce Perkins last week. Lance has a lot to prove as the 49ers finalize their quarterback plans for this season, making the No. 3 overall pick in 2021 NFL Draft a great selection for NFL DFS lineups on Sunday.

Part of Engel's optimal NFL DFS strategy also includes rostering Giants receiver David Sills. The West Virginia product signed with the Bills as an undrafted free agent out of college and then landed with the Giants after being cut. Injuries and a couple stints on the reserve/COVID-19 list kept him off the field in 2020. But he's making some noise this preseason, leading the Giants with six receptions for 80 yards and a touchdown.

He's been targeted 10 totals times through two games. The Giants plan to mix in starters and reserves on Sunday against the Patriots, and Sills figures to again see several targets. He's fighting to make the roster, so he'll treat this game with regular-season urgency, making him a great target for NFL DFS picks.

How to set Sunday NFL DFS lineups for Week 3

Engel is also targeting a player who could go off for massive numbers on Sunday because of an abundance of playing time. This pick could be the difference between winning your tournaments and cash games or going home with nothing. You can only see who it is here.
