The Washington Football Team is getting several players back in time for Tuesday's NFC East showdown in Philadelphia. Washington activated defensive linemen Montez Sweat, Jonathan Allen, James Smith-Williams, and Casey Toohill on Saturday. The team also designated Sweat to return to practice after he missed over a month after suffering a non-displaced jaw fracture. The NFL postponed Washington's upcoming game against Philadelphia from Sunday afternoon to Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET.

Washington had a whopping 20 players on its reserve/COVID-19 list heading into Saturday. Among Washington's players on the list included quarterbacks Taylor Heinicke and Kyle Allen, right tackle Cornelius Lucas, cornerback Kendall Fuller, safety Kamren Curl, center Tyler Larsen and receiver Cam Sims

"We're in meetings and one of the guys told me someone else had it, it's like, 'Here's another one; there's another one," guard Brandon Scherff said earlier this week, via ESPN's John Keim. "Like coach [Ron] Rivera said, 'Next man up.' It's a big opportunity for them to show everyone what they've got."

Washington's upcoming game against Philadelphia was one of three games the NFL postponed due to COVID-19. The Browns' home game against the Raiders was moved from Saturday to Monday at 5 p.m. ET. The Rams' home game against the Seahawks will also take place Tuesday night at 7 p.m. ET. Those games will air on Fox and will also be available via NFL Sunday Ticket.
