The Cincinnati Bengals placed a host of players on their reserve/COVID-19 list on Tuesday. The team was hit with more COVID-related news on Wednesday as Pro Bowl running back Joe Mixon has tested positive for the virus and will miss Sunday's game against the Browns, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Safety Vonn Bell, linebacker Akeem Davis-Gaither, defensive end Trey Hendrickson, center Trey Hopkins, and guard Quinton Spain were placed on the Bengals' COVID-19 list on Tuesday.

Fortunately for the Bengals, Sundays game carries considerably less significance after Cincinnati clinched the AFC North division crown after defeating the Kansas City Chiefs this past Sunday. At 10-6, the Bengals are currently the No. 3 seed in the AFC playoff standings.

While they are still in contention for the AFC's top playoff seed, Bengals coach Zac Taylor did not say whether or not quarterback Joe Burrow will play Sunday. Burrow was not on the field for the Bengals' final snap against the Chiefs after experiencing discomfort in his non-surgically repaired knee.

A four-year veteran, Mixon was selected to his first Pro Bowl this season after gaining over 1,500 all-purpose yards and 16 touchdowns. Mixon's backup, Samaje Perine, has amassed 442 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns in 15 games.
