The two-player is in a position to spend the majority of his time in 2025-26 in the G League. Freeman couldn't bend his knee much on his way off the floor and likely headed to the locker room for further evaluation to determine the severity of the injury. Freeman finished the game with nine points (3-6 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT), nine rebounds, an assist and a block across 16 minutes off the bench.
Freeman and the Pacers agreed on a two-way contract Thursday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
Freeman, who spent five years at Akron, was the 50th overall pick in the 2024 Draft. It's not surprising that he was signed to a two-way contract. He'll spend the majority of the season in the G League getting developmental minutes.

Freeman spent five years at Akron before declaring for the NBA Draft. In 2023-24, he averaged 18.6 points, 12.9 rebounds, 1.7 blocks and 1.6 assists in 35 games. While Freeman has shown impressive rebounding abilities for a 6-foot-7 forward, there is no obvious path for playing time right out of the gate.
