76ers' Jared McCain: Heads to locker room
McCain suffered a hard fall and was taken off Friday's game against the Pacers and straight into the locker room to be checked out due to a possible concussion, Austin Krell of USA Today reports.
McCain suffered a hard fall to the court that included a smack of his head to the floor, and while he tried to shoot his free throws, the 76ers elected to remove him from the game right away. If he clears the concussion protocol while in the locker room, McCain would be eligible to return, and he returned to the bench shortly after exiting the contest. His status for the rest of the game is questionable.

McCain is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Magic, Kyle Neubeck of AllPHLY.com reports.

76ers' Jared McCain: Shines in return to first unit
McCain provided 24 points (10-17 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 1-3 FT), seven rebounds and three assists in 39 minutes during Wednesday's 106-102 loss to Orlando.
Back in Philadelphia's starting lineup after coming off the bench for the past two games, McCain provided an instant spark to a 76ers offense missing Joel Embiid (knee) and Paul George (rest) with his team-high 24 points. The rookie first-rounder has made the most of his opportunities as a member of the first unit this year, averaging 23.8 points, 4.3 assists, 3.4 rebounds, 0.9 steals and 3.6 three-pointers in 36.6 minutes per game over eight appearances as a starter. No matter what his role is in head coach Nick Nurse's rotation going forward, McCain figures to be an excellent source of points and triples for fantasy managers as an early Rookie of the Year candidate.

McCain started seven straight games before returning to the second unit for Philadelphia's previous pair of contests. 76ers' Jared McCain: Lights it up from deep off bench
McCain posted 17 points (7-10 FG, 3-4 3Pt), one rebound, two assists and two steals across 22 minutes during Tuesday's 110-104 victory over Charlotte.
McCain once again provided Philadelphia with a strong spark off the bench Tuesday, leading all bench players in scoring and threes made while swiping a team-high-tying pair of steals on the defensive side. McCain has tallied at least 15 points in 12 outings this season, including in nine of his last 10 contests.

76ers' Jared McCain: Retreating to bench role Saturday
McCain is not in the 76ers' starting lineup for Saturday's game against the Pistons, Ky Carlin of USA Today reports.
McCain has started in each of the 76ers' last seven games, and over that span he has averaged 23.7 points, 4.4 rebounds,. 2.9 rebounds and 1.0 steal over 36.4 minutes per contest. However, with Paul George (knee) returning from a three-game absence, McCain will come off the bench Saturday as the 76ers opt to go with a double-big lineup of Guerschon Yabusele and Andre Drummond. Despite the demotion to the bench, McCain has earned a permanent spot in the Sixers' rotation and should continue to see plenty of playing time in a reserve role.

76ers' Jared McCain: Lacks efficiency in loss to HOU
McCain registered 15 points (6-19 FG, 0-7 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six rebounds, one assist and one steal over 41 minutes during Wednesday's 122-115 overtime loss to Houston.
McCain has cooled off a bit after putting up impressive numbers over the last two weeks, but that kind of regression was slightly expected since he's a rookie who's still getting used to the NBA. The former Duke standout should continue to have a significant role in the 76ers offense due to Paul George (knee) and Joel Embiid (knee) being sidelined. McCain has averaged 23.7 points per game since being promoted to the starting lineup seven games ago.

76ers' Jared McCain: Struggles with shot Sunday
McCain provided 18 points (3-15 FG, 2-11 3Pt, 10-12 FT) and four assists across 28 minutes during Sunday's 125-99 loss to the Clippers.
McCain was coming off five straight games in which he'd scored at least 20 points, but the rookie saw his streak snapped in this one after a woeful shooting performance. That was bound to happen sooner rather than later, but McCain should remain one of the 76ers' go-to players on offense, especially as long as Paul George and Joel Embiid remain sidelined due to their respective knee injuries.

76ers' Jared McCain: Strong from three in 30-point game
McCain posted 30 points (11-20 FG, 6-11 3Pt, 2-3 FT), five rebounds, three assists and two steals over 39 minutes during Friday's 113-98 win over the Nets.
McCain provided Philadelphia with a nice lift offensively and from deep Friday, leading all 76ers players in threes made and scoring. McCain matched a season high in threes made, and he has now connected on at least five threes in two straight outings. He has surpassed the 30-point mark in two contests, both of which have taken place over his last five appearances.

76ers' Jared McCain: Extends scoring streak Wednesday
McCain had 20 points (6-13 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 5-5 FT), two rebounds and five assists over 41 minutes during Wednesday's 117-111 loss to Memphis.
McCain's success as a rookie has been the lone bright spot for a reeling 76ers team, and the former Duke star has scored at least 20 points in six games in a row. He's firmly entrenched as a reliable scoring weapon just one month into the regular season, and McCain could be in line for an uptick in his usage rate if Paul George (knee) is forced to miss time. McCain is averaging 25.8 points per game since being promoted to the starting lineup four games ago.

76ers' Jared McCain: Leading scorer in Monday's loss
McCain accumulated 20 points (8-16 FG, 4-9 3Pt), four rebounds, four assists and two steals in 37 minutes during Monday's 106-89 loss to the Heat.
The rookie guard led the Sixers in scoring on the night, even with Joel Embiid in the lineup for only the third time this season. McCain is red hot right now, scoring 20-plus points in five straight games while averaging 26.6 points, 4.4 assists, 4.4 threes, 2.6 boards and 0.8 steals in 33.4 minutes a contest, but his usage will take a hit once Tyrese Maxey (hamstring) is ready to return. McCain, the 16th overall pick in the 2024 Draft, has likely done enough to keep his spot in the starting five, however.

76ers' Jared McCain: Leading scorer vs. Orlando
McCain recorded 29 points (10-17 FG, 5-10 3Pt, 4-4 FT), one rebound and four assists across 31 minutes before fouling out of Friday's 98-86 loss to the Magic.
Even with Joel Embiid and Paul George returning to action Friday, McCain remained in the 76ers' starting lineup off the heels of a career-high 34 points against the Cavaliers on Wednesday. McCain carried that momentum into Friday night, leading the 76ers in scoring while connecting on a team-high five three pointers. The rookie first-round pick is carving out a big role for himself, and while his role will diminish when Tyrese Maxey returns from a right hamstring strain, McCain could remain in the starting lineup ahead of veteran Kyle Lowry. Over his last five games, McCain has averaged 26.2 points on 47.9 percent shooting (including 44.0 percent from three on 10.0 3PA/G), 4.0 assists and 2.0 rebounds over 32.2 minutes per contest.

76ers' Jared McCain: Sticking in starting lineup
McCain will remain in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Magic, Gina Mizell of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
With Paul George (rest), Joel Embiid (rest) and Tyrese Maxey (hamstring) out, McCain made his first start of the season against Cleveland on Wednesday. The rookie exploded for 34 points, 10 assists and two steals in 38 minutes during a 114-106 loss. George and Embiid will be back in action Friday, but McCain is sticking in the starting lineup, sending Kelly Oubre and Guerschon Yabusele to the bench. Over his last four games, McCain has averaged 25.5 points on 45.5 percent shooting.

76ers' Jared McCain: Explodes for career-high 34 points
McCain produced 34 points (12-26 FG, 6-13 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds, 10 assists and two steals over 38 minutes during Wednesday's 114-106 loss to Cleveland.
McCain continues to dominate on the offensive end, landing a career-high 34 points, while chipping in double-digit assists for the first time. The 76ers were without their three key pieces, affording McCain a ton of playing time. He has scored at least 23 points in three straight games. Although this run will likely end abruptly at some point, he is someone to monitor moving forward.
