Spurs' Stephon Castle: All-around effort against Toronto
Castle produced 20 points (5-16 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 9-9 FT), eight rebounds and six assists across 37 minutes during Sunday's 125-118 win over Toronto.
Castle didn't have the most efficient day, but he managed to lead the Spurs' starters in scoring and rebounds and finished tied with Chris Paul for most assists. Castle started in the Spurs' final 18 games of the regular season, and over that span the rookie first-round pick averaged 19.1 points, 6.2 assists, 5.4 rebounds and 0.8 steals over 30.8 minutes per contest.

Spurs' Stephon Castle: Solid game in narrow victory
Castle recorded 21 points (8-15 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 4-7 FT), three rebounds, five assists, one block and two steals over 35 minutes during Wednesday's 114-111 victory over the Warriors.
Castle made another case for Rookie of the Year honors with an excellent line as the season winds down. The Spurs have looked sharp despite dropping some narrow losses in the closing weeks, and most of their success is due to Castle's playmaking.. The team has formed a dangerous core that could make some noise next season with Victor Wembanyama back in the lineup.

Spurs' Stephon Castle: Logs decent 19/8 line in loss
Castle contributed 19 points (5-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 8-12 FT), one rebound, eight assists and two blocks in 32 minutes during Tuesday's 122-117 loss to the Clippers.
Castle shot up the Kia rookie ladder and appears poised to take the coveted title of Rookie of the Year despite legit challenges from Zaccharie Risacher and Alex Sarr. Castle's late-season run has given him the best odds to win in Vegas, and contender Jaylen Wells' (wrist) season-ending injury has barred him from making a solid last impression. His omission could send more votes Castle's way.

Spurs' Stephon Castle: Posts terrific line in loss
Castle produced 22 points (7-17 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 7-9 FT), seven rebounds, five assists and one steal across 31 minutes during Sunday's 120-109 loss to the Trail Blazers.
Castle has been leading the Spurs in usage rate over his last eight outings. His counting stats have been solid with 18.4 points, 7.1 rebounds, 6.6 assists, 0.6 steals and 1.3 three-pointers, but his efficiency is holding him back -- he shot 40.5 percent from the field and 68.9 percent from the line with 3.0 turnovers per game in that stretch.

Spurs' Stephon Castle: Just misses triple-double
Castle produced 22 points (8-16 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 5-6 FT), nine rebounds, 11 assists and one steal over 33 minutes during Friday's 114-113 loss to the Cavaliers.
The rookie guard came one board short of his first career triple-double. Castle has looked good to close out his first NBA campaign and hasn't wilted under an increased workload and usage for the injury-plagued Spurs -- while starting the last 13 games, the fourth overall pick in the 2024 Draft has averaged 18.8 points, 5.9 assists, 5.8 boards, 1.4 threes and 1.2 combined steals and blocks in 30.0 minutes a contest.

Spurs' Stephon Castle: Flirts with triple-double Wednesday
Castle produced 15 points (6-18 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), 15 rebounds and nine assists in 33 minutes during Wednesday's 113-106 win over Denver.
The rookie guard was the Spurs' leading rebounder Wednesday, also coming a lone assist shy of a triple-double. Castle has been very productive as the focal point of San Antonio's offense in the absences of Victor Wembanyama (shoulder) and De'Aaron Fox (finger), having averaged 18.6 points, 5.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 0.8 steals and 1.4 three-pointers in 29.6 minutes across his last 12 games.

Spurs' Stephon Castle: Logs team high in boards Tuesday
Castle posted 16 points (6-13 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 3-3 FT), eight rebounds, six assists and one block over 35 minutes during Tuesday's 116-105 loss to the Magic.
Castle led the Spurs with a team-high eight rebounds Tuesday, marking just his sixth outing on the season with at least eight boards. The rookie first-round pick also finished with the club's third-highest point total, logging at least 15 points for the 10th time over his last 11 appearances. The 20-year-old should continue to see plenty of opportunity on a non-contending Spurs team that is without its two best players in Victor Wembanyama (shoulder) and De'Aaron Fox (finger).

Spurs' Stephon Castle: Poor shooting effort Sunday
Castle had nine points (3-11 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 2-3 FT), three rebounds and two assists across 22 minutes during Sunday's 148-106 loss to the Warriors.
Castle struggled from the floor and stumbled into a wall in this matchup. Prior to this blowout loss, Castle had scored at least 15 points in each of his previous nine starts, so in a way, some regression was expected as opposing teams start to plan how to stop him. One bad game won't remove everything Castle has accomplished as a rookie, though. He's averaging 19.2 points, 4.3 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game since moving to a starting role in mid-March following the season-ending injury to De'Aaron Fox (finger).
