  • Spurs' RaiQuan Gray: Inks two-way deal with San Antonio

    Gray agreed to a two-way contract with the Spurs on Friday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports. Gray will be available as frontcourt depth for San Antonio while signed to the two-way deal, though he's still likely to see the majority of his playing time with the G League's Austin Spurs for the rest of the season. Over 31 appearances on the season for Austin, the 6-foot-7, 269-pound big man is averaging 15.0 points (on 57.9 percent shooting from the field), 5.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.0 steals in 25.9 minutes per contest.

  • RaiQuan Gray: Parts ways with San Antonio

  • RaiQuan Gray: Let go by Brooklyn

    The Nets waived Gray on Tuesday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports. Gray was let go by the Nets ahead of the 2022-23 campaign, but he returned to the team on a two-way contract in April. The 2021 second-round pick made his NBA debut April 9 against the 76ers, tallying 16 points (6-12 FG), nine rebounds, seven assists and one block in 35 minutes, but it was his only appearance of the season. The Florida State product figures to at least land an Exhibit 10 deal with Brooklyn or another team before the start of training camp.

    Gray posted 16 points (6-12 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), nine rebounds, seven assists and one block across 35 minutes during Sunday's 134-105 loss to Philadelphia. Gray played an actual NBA game for the first time in his career, ending with a relatively strong fantasy line. Chances are no one was able to stream him in given the abundance of streaming value Sunday, but nonetheless, it was an encouraging performance. Managers should obviously take this with a grain of salt, with Gray unlikely to pop up again anytime soon.
