  • Spurs' De'Aaron Fox: Undergoing season-ending surgery

Fox will undergo season-ending surgery Tuesday to repair tendon damage to his left pinkie finger, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. While he was still playing for the Kings back in November, Fox admitted that he was playing through a ligament injury in the finger. The injury didn't seem to compromise his play, and he missed just four games all season due to a right thumb sprain, and none after being traded by Sacramento to San Antonio in early February. With the 27-37 Spurs having faded from the playoff race and with Victor Wembanyama (blood clot) already out for the season, Fox will opt to get the finger injury addressed now rather than waiting until the offseason to have surgery. He'll conclude his eighth NBA season with averages of 23.5 points, 6.3 assists, 4.8 rebounds, 1.9 three-pointers and 1.5 steals in 36.1 minutes per game while shooting 46.3 percent from the field over his 62 appearances. In Fox's absence, Stephon Castle is the likely candidate to fill the opening in the Spurs' starting five alongside Chris Paul, while reserves Julian Champagnie and Keldon Johnson could benefit from more playing time over the rest of the season.

  • Spurs' De'Aaron Fox: Leads all scorers with 32 points

Fox ended with 32 points (12-25 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 6-6 FT), nine rebounds, 11 assists and one steal across 41 minutes during Wednesday's 126-116 victory over the Mavericks. Fox scored a game-high 32 points, the most he has scored since arriving in San Antonio prior to the trade deadline. Although a season-ending health scare for Victor Wembanyama has set the Spurs back a little when it comes to their timeline, Fox has been able to deliver serviceable production on most nights. Over the past 14 games, he is averaging 20.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 6.3 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.6 three-pointers.

  • Spurs' De'Aaron Fox: Pops for team-high 22 in loss

Fox had a team-high 22 points (8-12 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds and three assists over 27 minutes during Sunday's 141-124 loss to Minnesota. The four made threes represented his best performance from beyond the arc as a member of the Spurs. Fox's numbers have dropped a bit since the trade, and being the focal point of the offense in the absence of Victor Wembanyama (shoulder) hasn't improved matters. Over 10 games since Wembanyama was lost for the season, Fox has averaged 18.1 points, 5.8 assists, 4.3 boards, 1.7 threes and 1.5 steals, but he's shooting just 41.4 percent from the floor and 27.0 percent from long distance.

  • Spurs' De'Aaron Fox: Struggles against former team

Fox accumulated 16 points (6-17 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 4-5 FT), four rebounds, eight assists and one steal in 33 minutes during Friday's 127-109 loss to the Kings. Fox was certainly motivated to post a big number against his former team, but things did not go as planned. He failed to connect beyond the arc and posted subpar numbers in the loss. The Spurs won't make the playoffs and are a bit lost without Victor Wembanyama (shoulder). They are 3-7 over the past 10 games with no signs of improving, making Fox a less desirable fantasy target compared to his value with the Kings.

  • Spurs' De'Aaron Fox: Sinks game-winning shot

Fox totaled 20 points (7-17 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 5-5 FT), three rebounds, seven assists, one block and one steal over 35 minutes during Saturday's 130-128 victory over the Grizzlies. Fox iced the game for the Spurs in the final seconds with a clutch mid-range jumper. The former Kings floor general has adjusted well to life in San Antonio and is thriving alongside Chris Paul in the backcourt. Fox is averaging 19.6 points, 4.3 rebounds, 6.8 assists and 2.1 steals per game since joining the Spurs.

  • Spurs' De'Aaron Fox: Rough night against Houston defense

Fox ended with seven points (3-12 FG, 1-5 3Pt), three rebounds, three assists and one block across 28 minutes during Wednesday's 118-106 loss to the Rockets. It was a brutal game for the Spurs, as they were down by 26 points heading into the fourth quarter, and no one in the team's starting five managed to score in double digits. For his part, the seven points represented Fox's worst performance since being acquired by San Antonio, and just the second time in 10 games for his new club that he's failed to score in double digits. The 27-year-old guard has been struggling to get his shot off as defenses adjust to not having Victor Wembanyama (shoulder) to worry about -- over the last three contests, Fox has averaged just 11.7 points, 5.7 assists, 4.3 boards, 2.3 steals, 1.0 threes and 0.7 blocks while shooting a woeful 24.5 percent from the floor and 14.3 percent (3-for-21) from long distance.

  • Spurs' De'Aaron Fox: Ties season-high steals mark

Fox closed Tuesday's 109-103 loss to the Pelicans with 15 points (6-21 FG, 1-9 3Pt, 2-3 FT), nine assists, six steals and three rebounds in 38 minutes. Fox struggled from the field once again, and over his last five outings, he has shot 42.2 percent from the field and only 27.3 percent from three-point range. However, the 27-year-old tied his season-high mark in steals, and he has racked up 22 outings with multiple steals through 54 regular-season appearances. Additionally, the star guard recorded nine or more assists for the 11th time this season.

  • Spurs' De'Aaron Fox: Drops 27 against Detroit

Fox contributed 27 points (11-18 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, five assists and four steals over 30 minutes during Friday's 125-110 loss to the Pistons. It was another big performance from Fox in the wake of a season-ending shoulder issue for Victor Wembanyama. Still, unlike Thursday's win over the Suns, the 27-year-old guard got almost no help -- the rest of the Spurs' starting lineup managed a combined 11 points. Fox has scored 20-plus points in seven of eight February appearances, averaging 22.6 points, 6.9 assists, 4.4 boards, 2.0 steals and 1.9 threes on the month while shooting 50.4 percent from the floor.

  • Spurs' De'Aaron Fox: Takes charge without Wemby

Fox accumulated 26 points (8-19 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 7-9 FT), nine rebounds, seven assists, two blocks and two steals over 37 minutes during Thursday's 120-109 victory over Phoenix. The Spurs got a gut-punch earlier Thursday when Victor Wembanyama (shoulder) was ruled out for the rest of the season, but Fox stepped up and kept the team on course, scoring 11 straight points late in the fourth quarter to put the game away. The 27-year-old guard has scored more than 20 points in five of his first six appearances for San Antonio, averaging 22.3 points, 7.7 assists, 4.3 boards, 1.8 steals and 1.5 threes for his new club, but Fox's usage figures to rise significantly without Wembanyama on the court alongside him.

  • Spurs' De'Aaron Fox: Team-high 23 points vs. Celtics

Fox finished Wednesday's 116-103 loss to Boston with 23 points (10-16 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-3 FT), five assists and three rebounds over 39 minutes. Fox did most of his scoring within the arc Wednesday as he led the Spurs in points. The eighth-year floor general has scored at least 22 points in four of his five outings since being traded to the Spurs, and over that span he has averaged 21.6 points on 50.0 percent shooting, 7.8 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 1.8 steals over 35.8 minutes per game. The All-Star break presents Fox the chance to get more acclimated to San Antonio and get more comfortable with the Spurs' game plan.

  • Spurs' De'Aaron Fox: Drops 30 points in victory

Fox totaled 30 points (7-14 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 15-18 FT), four rebounds, six assists and one steal across 36 minutes during Monday's 131-121 win over the Wizards. Fox did exactly half of his scoring from the charity stripe Monday, marking season highs in both free-throw attempts and makes. This was an impressive bounce-back performance from the Kentucky product, who was held to nine points in 34 minutes Saturday against the Magic. It was also a great sign that both Fox and Victor Wembanyama scored 30-plus points, which demonstrates further that both stars can produce at a high level after joining forces.

  • Spurs' De'Aaron Fox: Hands out 13 dimes in SA debut

Fox registered 24 points (11-22 FG, 2-7 3Pt), five rebounds, 13 assists and three steals over 37 minutes during Wednesday's 126-125 victory over Atlanta. Fox didn't have his best shooting performance from beyond the arc, but other than that, he played a prominent role for the Spurs in this tight win and excelled as a playmaker. The partnership Fox can form with Victor Wembanyama could be massive for the Spurs, and while one game isn't enough to draw any significant conclusions, all signs point to Fox remaining the same offensive force he was during his Sacramento days.

  • Spurs' De'Aaron Fox: Available to play Wednesday

Fox (recently traded) is listed as available for Wednesday's game against Atlanta. The star point guard and Jordan McLaughlin are both available to play Wednesday after having been acquired by the Spurs in the three-team trade that sent Zach LaVine to the Kings on Sunday. The addition of Fox means that Chris Paul (finger) will likely slide to the bench, with rookie Stephon Castle expected to start alongside Fox in the backcourt. The 27-year-old Fox averaged 19.1 points, 6.0 assists, 5.2 rebounds and 0.9 steals across 35.8 minutes per contest in his last 10 outings with the Kings.

  • Spurs' De'Aaron Fox: Iffy to make Spurs debut Wednesday

Fox (recently traded) is questionable for Wednesday's matchup against Atlanta, Michael C. Wright of ESPN.com reports. The Spurs acquired the star point guard in a three-team trade Sunday, and he could make his debut Wednesday after missing Monday's game against Memphis. Over his last 10 outings with the Kings, Fox averaged 19.1 points, 6.0 assists, 5.2 rebounds and 0.9 steals across 35.8 minutes per contest.

  • Spurs' De'Aaron Fox: Won't debut Monday

Fox (not injury related) won't make his Spurs debut Monday against the Grizzlies. Fox was dealt from the Kings to the Spurs less than 24 hours ago, so he's still making his way to his new team. His next opportunity to debut will arrive Wednesday in Atlanta.

  • Spurs' De'Aaron Fox: Heading to San Antonio

The Spurs acquired Fox from the Kings on Sunday in a three-team deal that also involves the Bulls, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. The trade has yet to be finalized and is still pending physicals, but in addition to Fox, the Spurs will acquire guard Jordan McLaughlin, while the Kings receive guard Zach LaVine, forward Sidy Cissoko, first-round picks in 2025, 2027, 2031 and three second-round picks (one in 2025, two in 2028). The Bulls, meanwhile, will acquire center Zach Collins, guards Tre Jones and Kevin Huerter and their own 2025 first-round pick back from San Antonio. Charania reported this past Tuesday that the Kings had opened up discussions about trading Fox, and the southpaw guard will now be heading to San Antonio to pair up with superstar center Victor Wembanyama and the rest of the Spurs' young core pieces in Devin Vassell, Stephon Castle, Jeremy Sochan and Keldon Johnson. The move will likely result in Fox and Castle serving as the Spurs' starters in the backcourt while Chris Paul moves to a reserve role, as he did with the Warriors during the 2023-24 campaign. Fox's fantasy outlook shouldn't dramatically change as a result of the move to San Antonio, though he could see a slight reduction in the career-high 37.0 minutes per game for the season he had been averaging in Sacramento, where former head coach Mike Brown and current head coach Doug Christie both ran tighter rotations. Fox is unlikely to play in the Spurs' next game Monday in Memphis, but he could be ready to debut for his new team Wednesday in Atlanta.

  • Kings' De'Aaron Fox: Team-high 20 points Saturday

Fox produced 20 points (8-16 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, four assists and one steal across 30 minutes during Saturday's 144-110 loss to the Thunder. Fox led the team with 20 points, but it wasn't nearly enough for a win in Saturday's rout. Over his last 10 contests, the star guard has averaged 19.1 points, 6.0 assists, 5.2 rebounds, 0.9 steals, 0.8 blocks and 2.1 three-pointers per game. Fox's future with Sacramento remains up in the air while his name circulates around trade rumors, but he continues to put up steady numbers for the Kings.

  • Kings' De'Aaron Fox: Team listening to trade offers

The Kings are expected to "open up talks to potentially deal" Fox ahead of Feb. 6 trade deadline, Shams Charania of ESPN reports. Charania notes that the point guard should have plenty of suitors via trade and is believed to have a "destination in mind" ahead of his free agency in 2026. However, it's unclear if the Kings will work urgently to get a deal done ahead of the deadline, as Sacramento could prefer to wait until the offseason to revisit a trade if the offers it receives over the next week aren't satisfactory. Fox has appeared in 43 of the Kings' 46 games thus far, averaging 25.2 points, 6.2 assists, 5.0 rebounds, 2.0 three-pointers and 1.5 steals in 37.2 minutes per game.

  • Kings' De'Aaron Fox: Will play against New York

Fox (thumb) has been cleared to play in Saturday's game against the Knicks. Fox had a shaky status ahead of Saturday's game in New York, but he will play against the Knicks. The star point guard is having another stellar season for the Kings, averaging 25.4 points, 6.2 assists and a career-high 5.1 rebounds per game while shooting 47 percent from the floor and 31.7 percent from deep.

  • Kings' De'Aaron Fox: Goes through shootaround

Fox (thumb) participated in shootaround ahead of Saturday's game versus the Knicks, Chris Biderman of The Sacramento Bee reports. Fox is officially listed as questionable Saturday due to a sprained right thumb. However, the star guard's participation in shootaround is a good sign of his availability against New York.
