Tigers' Jackson Jobe: Placed on 60-day IL
The Tigers placed Jobe (elbow) on the 60-day injured list Tuesday.
Jobe underwent Tommy John surgery in June and will officially open the 2026 season on the injured list while he continues his recovery. The Tigers are hopeful that the 23-year-old righty will be able to return near the end of the regular season, though he may have to wait until 2027 to have a significant impact on the team.

Tigers' Jackson Jobe: Aiming to be ready by September
Tigers president of baseball operations Scott Harris said Monday that the team is hopeful Jobe (elbow) will be ready to pitch in games by September, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.
Jobe underwent Tommy John surgery in June. Prepping for game action late in the 2026 regular season is a reasonable goal, but it's likely Jobe will not be a significant contributor to the Tigers again until 2027.

Tigers' Jackson Jobe: Moves to 60-day IL
The Tigers transferred Jobe (elbow) to the 60-day injured list Thursday.
Jobe is scheduled to undergo Tommy John surgery and will miss the rest of the season, so the Tigers will move him to the 60-day IL to clear a 40-man spot for Matt Gage, who was selected from Triple-A Toledo on Thursday. A timeline for Jobe's return will likely surface following his procedure, though he almost certainly won't be cleared to pitch until late 2026 at the earliest.

Jobe (elbow) will undergo Tommy John surgery, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Jobe landed on the 15-day injured list at the end of May due to a right flexor strain, though further evaluation determined that he's dealing with damage to his UCL and will require surgery. This means his 2025 season is finished after posting a 4.22 ERA and 1.49 WHIP across 49 innings (10 starts), and the timing of the operation will likely cause him to miss most, if not all, of the 2026 campaign.

Tigers' Jackson Jobe: To IL with flexor strain
Jobe was placed on the 15-day injured list Friday with a Grade 1 flexor strain, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.
Sawyer Gipson-Long (elbow), who is coming off a dominant rehab start for Triple-A Toledo, is the likely replacement in the rotation. Jobe had a 5.28 ERA, 1.69 WHIP and 25:17 K:BB in 29 innings over his last six starts.

Tigers' Jackson Jobe: Logs no-decision Wednesday
Jobe allowed three runs on seven hits across 4.2 innings and did not factor into the decision in Wednesday's win over the Giants. He walked three and struck out four.
Jobe took a step backward Wednesday, snapping a streak of three straight outings in which he went at least five innings and allowed two runs or fewer. The young righty has still been mostly effective this year with a 4.22 ERA across 49 innings of work. Jobe will need to display better control if he wants to unlock another level, however, as his BB/9 climbed up to 5.0 after issuing three free passes in this one. The 22-year-old is set to take the mound again early next week against the White Sox, which projects as a favorable matchup.
