  • Twins' Aaron Sabato: Lands on injured list

Sabato was placed on the 7-day injured list at Double-A Wichita on Saturday for an undisclosed reason, Brandon Warne of Access Twins reports. Sabato was promoted to Wichita in mid-August and has slashed .179/.283/.405 with five home runs, 18 RBI, 13 runs and two stolen bases over 23 Double-A games. • Twins' Aaron Sabato: Promoted to Double-A

Sabato has been promoted to Double-A Wichita. Sabato was hitting .226 with 17 home runs and a .799 OPS at High-A Cedar Rapids. Sabato has a high strikeout rate (31.9 percent) but does draw walks (14.5 percent). • Twins' Aaron Sabato: Slow start at Low-A

Sabato is hitting .186/.370/.319 through 32 games for Low-A Fort Myers, though he's hitting .286 with a .947 OPS in his last ten games. The 27th overall pick in the 2020 first-year player draft got off to a slow start, which may not be a surprise since he didn't play in 2020 due to the pandemic. Despite his struggles, he has an encouraging 20.5 BB%. He needs to make more contact (57.5% contact rate) to continue to improve.
