  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Racks up penalty minutes

Hartman was handed 16 penalty minutes in Wednesday's 6-0 loss to the Kings. Hartman landed a few punches on Los Angeles' Pierre-Luc Dubois before the duo was separated, with both players getting game misconducts in addition to roughing penalties. Offensively, the 29-year-old Hartman has been rather productive of late, notching three goals and two assists, including a pair of power-play points, in his last six outings.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Supplies assist Thursday

Hartman logged an assist, five shots on goal and two blocked shots in Thursday's 2-0 win over the Ducks. Hartman got a top-line assignment due to Joel Eriksson Ek (lower body) being out of the lineup. Hartman made the most of it, setting up Kirill Kaprizov's tally in the second period. Over the last five games, Hartman has been heating up with two goals and three assists. The 29-year-old forward is up to 38 points -- exceeding his total from last season -- while adding 141 shots on net, 70 hits, 50 blocked shots, 40 PIM and a plus-5 rating through 62 appearances.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Nabs helper in win

Hartman posted a power-play assist, two shots on goal, three blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Kraken. Hartman helped out on the first of Kirill Kaprizov's two tallies in the contest. This was Hartman's third helper over the last four games. The 29-year-old forward is up to 30 points (seven on the power play), 119 shots on net, 56 hits, 36 blocked shots, 40 PIM and a minus-3 rating through 53 outings. He's played on the second line recently, which has likely helped to steady his offense.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Slides two helpers

Hartman logged two assists, three shots on goal and two hits in Monday's 5-3 win over the Golden Knights. Hartman snapped a four-game point drought with his pair of helpers. The 29-year-old has struggled to generate much offense when he's off the first line, which has been the case lately. For the season, the hard-nosed forward has 27 points, 108 shots on net, 41 hits, 36 PIM and a minus-5 rating through 47 appearances.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Pots pair in win

Hartman collected two goals in a 6-4 win over Florida on Friday. Hartman matched his season total of 15 goals from the 2022-23 season on a power-play marker past goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky. He added an empty-net tally with 12 seconds left in the third frame to finish off the game. The 29-year-old center had not scored a point in the past three outings. Besides his 65-point season two years ago, he has never been a big point producer, so it is hard to trust him in your lineup.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Goal, assist in overtime loss

Hartman scored a goal on five shots, added an assist and logged two PIM in Friday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Flyers. Hartman earned both of his points early in the third period as the Wild jumped ahead 3-1, only for the Flyers to rally back. The 29-year-old was bumped up to a top-line role between Matt Boldy and Mats Zuccarello for this contest. Hartman has four goals and three assists over nine contests since he returned from an upper-body injury. The 29-year-old is up to 22 points, 81 shots on net, 28 hits, 30 PIM and a minus-1 rating through 36 outings overall.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Good to play Wednesday

Hartman (upper body) is expected to play against Detroit on Wednesday, per Wild radio broadcaster Kevin Falness. Hartman missed the Wild's previous two games because of the injury. He has nine goals and 15 points in 27 outings in 2023-24. Hartman's return might push Jake Lucchini out of the lineup against the Red Wings.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Not playing Saturday

Hartman (upper-body) will not be in the lineup Saturday versus Boston, Jessi Pierce of NHL.com reports. Hartman will be replaced by Jake Lucchini, who will make his Minnesota debut. Hartman is dealing with an upper-body injury and will miss Thursday's game against Montreal. Hartman has nine goals and 15 points in 27 contests this season. • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Scores in loss to Penguins

Hartman found the back of the net in a 4-3 loss to Pittsburgh on Monday. Hartman brought his 14-game goal-scoring drought to an end. Despite that prolonged slump, his marker Monday, which came late in the second period to narrow Pittsburgh's lead to 3-1, was his eighth in 26 contests this season. Most of Hartman's success is thanks to a stretch from Oct. 24-Nov. 4 in which he had six goals in six contests. In addition to his eight tallies in 2023-24, the 29-year-old also has six assists, 57 shots and 22 PIM.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Helps out on empty-netter

Hartman logged an assist, three hits and two blocked shots in Sunday's 3-0 win over the Kraken. Hartman set up Joel Eriksson Ek for the empty-netter. The helper was Hartman's second in as many games following an eight-game point drought. The 29-year-old forward has 13 points, 52 shots on net, 24 hits, 17 blocked shots, 18 PIM and a plus-1 rating over 23 appearances. New head coach John Hynes has been less willing than his predecessor, Dean Evason, to give Hartman a top-six role at even strength, which could hamper the forward's scoring potential going forward.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Pockets helper

Hartman notched an assist, three shots on goal, four PIM and two hits in Friday's 4-3 loss to the Oilers. Hartman had to mix it up with Evander Kane after the Oilers' winger laid a hit on Jonas Brodin that knocked the defenseman out of the game. Hartman was also involved in another fracas at the final buzzer. The 29-year-old snapped his eight-game point drought with the helper, a span in which he missed three contests -- two for a suspension and one for an illness. He's at 12 points, 51 shots on net, 21 hits, 18 PIM and an even plus-minus rating through 22 outings this season. Hartman's inconsistent offense has seen him drop into a bottom-six role at even strength.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Eligible to return Sunday

Hartman has served his two-match ban and will be available to face Chicago on Sunday. Prior to his suspension, Hartman was mired in a seven-game goalless streak during which he registered 17 shots and one assist. Considering the Blackhawks are allowing 3.71 goals per game (second most in the league), Sunday's contest could offer a good opportunity for Hartman to rediscover his scoring touch. With Hartman back in the lineup, Vinni Lettieri could be headed back to AHL Iowa.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Handed two-game ban

Hartman received a two-game suspension Monday for tripping Alex DeBrincat in Sunday's 4-1 loss to the Red Wings. The incident occurred during the third period of Sunday's game, when Hartman was deemed to have intentionally swept DeBrincat's feet out from under him. Hartman's history of rough play on the ice likely factored into the league's decision to suspend him; the 29-year-old has been fined on six occasions since making his NHL debut in 2014. He'll be eligible to return Sunday against Chicago but will miss matchups with the Blues and Predators this week. Expect the Wild to promote another forward from the AHL ranks to replace Hartman before Tuesday's matchup with St. Louis. Hartman has 11 points in 18 games this season.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Set for hearing

Hartman will have a hearing for slew-footing Detroit's Alex DeBrincat on Sunday. Hartman put four shots on goal in 13:13 of ice time during Sunday's 4-1 loss. If the hearing results in a suspension, he'll miss at least Tuesday's game against the Blues. The 29-year-old has seven goals and 11 points in 18 games this season.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Set to return Sunday

Hartman (illness) is expected to return to the lineup Sunday versus Toronto, Sarah McLellan of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. Hartman appears to be ready to return after sitting out Saturday's 2-1 shootout loss to Ottawa. He skated alongside Joel Eriksson Ek and Marcus Foligno during the pregame warmups. Hartman has registered seven goals, 11 points, 39 shots on net, 11 blocked shots and 15 hits across 15 appearances this campaign.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Not playing Saturday

Hartman will not be in the lineup versus Ottawa on Saturday due to an illness, according to Michael Russo of The Athletic. Hartman will be replaced in the lineup by Nicolas Petan. • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Scores in shootout win

Hartman scored a goal on two shots in the Wild's 5-4 shootout win over the Rangers on Saturday. Hartman opened the scoring for the Wild by jamming home a loose puck on the goal line to cut the Rangers' lead to 3-1. This goal marks his third goal in his last four games as he looks to be picking up steam offensively. Hartman should continue to play on the second line and second power-play unit.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Pots fifth tally Friday

Hartman scored his fifth goal of the season in Friday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Capitals. With the Wild down 2-1 early in the third period, Hartman picked the pocket of Martin Fehervary at the blue line for a clear breakaway, then beat Darcy Kuemper on his backhand to earn his squad a point. Kuemper got the better of him in the shootout however, as John Carlson was the only skater in seven rounds to find the back of the net and decide the game. Hartman's got five goals and three assists in eight games to begin the campaign, though the bulk of that production came in a five-point performance against Edmonton on Tuesday. The 29-year-old put together a 34-goal, 65-point effort in 2021-22, but he only had 15 goals and 22 helpers over 59 appearances last season.

  • Wild's Ryan Hartman: Hats off in home victory

Hartman rolled up three goals with two assists in Tuesday's 7-4 victory against the Oilers. Hartman had himself a day, ending up with a plus-4 rating, five shots on goal, a minor penalty and a hit in his 17:28 of ice time. He also won seven of his 12 faceoff opportunities (58.3 percent) in the victory. It was the second career hat trick for Hartman, and his five points were one short of a franchise record for a single game. Although his hot start has been a nice surprise, fantasy managers probably shouldn't expect Hartman to sustain this level of production throughout the campaign, making him a potential early-season, sell-high candidate.
