  • Blues' Torey Krug: Questionable for Thursday

Krug is questionable for Thursday's game versus Calgary due to an illness, per Lou Korac of NHL.com on Wednesday. Krug has three goals and 34 points in 71 outings in 2023-24. If Krug can't play Thursday, then Tyler Tucker might draw into the lineup for the first time since March 5.

  • Blues' Torey Krug: Returning on Saturday

Krug (lower body) will return to the lineup Saturday versus Minnesota, according to Jessi Pierce of NHL.com. Krug missed his first game of the season Thursday in Ottawa. The defenseman has three goals, 34 points, 148 shots on goal and 95 blocked shots in 69 appearances this year. Look for Marco Scandella to be a healthy scratch to make room for Krug's return.

Krug (lower body) is expected to miss Thursday's road game in Ottawa, according to Matthew DeFranks of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Krug will miss his first game of the season. He has three goals, 31 assists, 148 shots on goal and 95 blocked shots in 69 games. • Blues' Torey Krug: Two-point effort

Krug tallied a goal and an assist in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Wild. The Wild were frantically trying to tie up the game late in the third period after pulling netminder Marc-Andre Fleury, but Krug's long-distance empty-netter from behind his goal line put the contest out of reach. Krug added an assist on the power play in the second period, one shot on goal and one hit in 24:46 of ice time. In his last 10 games, the 32-year-old defenseman has produced two goals, 10 assists, 13 blocked shots and 15 shots on net. The Blues are in the playoff hunt, and Krug's offensive contributions could become even more valuable as the season progresses.

  • Blues' Torey Krug: Earns power-play helper

Krug logged a power-play assist, two shots on goal and four blocked shots in Wednesday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Oilers. Krug had gone without a point in the last three games, but he snapped the mini-slump quickly by setting up Robert Thomas' tally early in the first period. Krug has a goal and nine helpers over 10 outings in February, which is great progress after a lackluster first half of the campaign. He's up to 30 points (10 on the power play), 126 shots on net, 79 blocked shots and a minus-23 rating over 59 contests overall.

  • Blues' Torey Krug: Scores second of the season

Krug scored and added an assist in Thursday's 6-3 win over the Oilers. This was just Krug's second goal of the season. It wouldn't be fair to say the 32-year-old defender has lost his offensive gifts, but the goals haven't quite been there this season. Part of that is a lack of power-play goals. He's still part of the team's top unit, but he hasn't yet scored on the man advantage. In years past, he's added as many as six goals and 30 points on the power play. Even last year, in a relatively down season for offensive production, Krug had four goals and 14 points on the power play through 63 games. This year, through 53 contests, he has just eight power-play assists and no goals.

  • Blues' Torey Krug: Career-high five helpers Tuesday

Krug erupted for five assists, two on the power play, during Sunday's 7-2 win over the Canadiens. The huge performance snapped a 10-game stretch in which Krug managed only one assist. Despite his streakiness, the blueliner is having another solid season with a goal and 25 points in 51 contests, and five of his last nine helpers have come on the power play.

  • Blues' Torey Krug: Logs power-play helper

Krug managed a power-play assist, three shots on goal and two PIM in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over the Kraken. Krug assisted on an Oskar Sundqvist tally in the first period. The helper snapped a six-game slump for Krug, who has just three assists over 11 outings in January. The defenseman remains in a top-four role, though he's lost his spot on the top power-play unit to Scott Perunovich. Krug is at 20 points, 101 shots on net, 62 blocked shots, 24 PIM and a minus-13 rating through 47 contests, a pace that has him on track to miss the 40-point mark for the third time in four years as a Blue.

  • Blues' Torey Krug: Fires four shots on net

Krug recorded four shots on net, a blocked shot and two PIM in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Capitals. Krug hasn't scored a goal in 30 straight games, but he's been a solid contributor with 15 assists and 72 shots on net in that stretch. Considering he's skating on the second power-play unit, Krug will likely tally a few goals before the season's over, but it's worth noting that he hasn't hit double digits in that category since the 2017-18 campaign.

  • Blues' Torey Krug: Posts two helpers

Krug posted two assists and one shot in the Blues' 4-3 overtime win over the Stars on Saturday. Krug picked up helpers on goals by Jordan Kyrou and Kevin Hayes. The former Bruin now has picked up points in back-to-back games and in four of his last six outings, as he seems to be heating up offensively. On the season, Krug has one goal and 15 points in 30 contests. He should continue to play in the Blues' top-four group and first power-play unit.

  • Blues' Torey Krug: Produces helper

Krug notched an assist and four shots on goal in Friday's 5-2 loss to the Blue Jackets. With six helpers over his last eight games, Krug's offense is back on track after a four-game slump in mid-November. The defenseman is at 12 points, 61 shots on net, 40 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating through 26 contests overall. Krug continues to play in a top-four role and on the first power-play unit, giving him chances to improve on his scoring numbers as the season progresses.

  • Blues' Torey Krug: Adds assist in loss

Krug notched an assist, three shots on goal and two PIM in Wednesday's 6-3 loss to the Golden Knights. Krug reached the 10-assist mark on the year by setting up Kevin Hayes' first-period marker. It's been a solid stretch lately for Krug, who has five helpers, including three on the power play, over his last seven games. The veteran defenseman is up to 11 points, 57 shots on net, 39 blocked shots and a minus-3 rating through 25 appearances this season, maintaining his spot in the top four and on the first power-play unit.

  • Blues' Torey Krug: Two helpers in Sunday's win

Krug notched two assists, one on the power play, in Sunday's 4-2 win over Chicago. Both helpers came in the first period as the Blues jumped out to a 3-1 lead. Krug went the first 10 games of the season without getting onto the scoresheet, but he's flipped the switch over the last 10 with a goal and nine points, including three multi-point performances. As long as the 32-year-old defenseman keeps his spot on the top power-play unit, Krug will be worth a roster spot in most fantasy formats.

  • Blues' Torey Krug: Dishes pair of helpers

Krug notched two assists, five blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Tuesday's 5-0 win over the Lightning. Krug remained hot, extending his point streak to four games (one goal, five assists). He's making up for lost time after starting the year with 10 scoreless outings. The 32-year-old has added 23 shots on net, 25 blocks and a plus-8 rating through 14 appearances while holding down a top-four role.

  • Blues' Torey Krug: Goal and assist in win

Krug scored a goal on two shots, added an assist, logged three hits and went plus-2 in Saturday's 8-2 win over the Avalanche. Krug did his damage in the first period, setting up the first of Brayden Schenn's three goals and scoring one of his own late in the frame. Krug's goal stood as the game-winner. After a slow start to the season, the defenseman has collected all four of his points over the last three contests. He's added 22 shots on net, 20 blocked shots, eight hits, four PIM and a plus-6 rating through 13 appearances. Krug's lack of offense has yet to cost him his top-four role or power-play time, and he should be more secure now that he's out of the starting blocks.

Krug recorded an assist, a shot on goal and a minus-1 rating in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Jets. It has been a rough start to the season for Krug despite averaging 21:01 of ice time through 11 games, as he has only fired 14 shots on net. The 32-year-old posted 32 points through 63 games last season, but it's going to be hard to depend on him for fantasy purposes until we see consistent production.

Krug fired a shot on net and finished plus-1 in Thursday's 3-0 win over the Flames. Krug has been handling big minutes, averaging 22:44 of ice time through six games with 3:35 on the power play. Despite the opportunity, the 32-year-old blueliner hasn't posted a point through six games and has fired just eight shots on net. Last season, Krug registered seven goals and 32 points -- 14 on the power play -- so we should expect him to rebound at some point as long as he keeps getting opportunities.
