  • DeSean Jackson: Announces retirement

Jackson announced his retirement from professional football Wednesday as a member of the Eagles. The Eagles will hold a retirement ceremony for Jackson during Sunday's game against the 49ers. The 15-year veteran will long be remembered as one of the most explosive playmakers in NFL history. Jackson earned three Pro Bowl nods in his career and holds the NFL record for career touchdowns of 60-plus yards (26). He last suited up for Baltimore, for whom he appeared in seven games in 2022. In addition to Philadelphia and Baltimore, Jackson also had stints with Washington, Tampa Bay, Las Vegas and the Rams.

  • DeSean Jackson: Waived Saturday

The Ravens waived Jackson (illness) on Saturday, Field Yates of ESPN reports. It's entirely possible Jackson could return to the Ravens provided he's able to pass through waivers. The veteran target played at least 10 offensive snaps in every game dating back to Week 12 and actually drew at least two targets in each one of those contests, but save for a deep reception back in Week 12, Jackson has been otherwise bottled up. Expect the Ravens to continue with their ground-oriented attack in Week 18 against the Bengals.

  • Ravens' DeSean Jackson: Questionable for Week 18

Jackson (illness) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bengals. Jackson missed all three of Baltimore's practices throughout the week due to an illness, and while it's encouraging that he wasn't ruled out entirely, his status may come down to a game-time decision. The veteran wide receiver's field-stretching abilities are unlikely to be utilized to their fullest Sunday, as starting quarterback Lamar Jackson (knee) remains out for a fifth consecutive game.

  • Ravens' DeSean Jackson: Remains sidelined by illness

Jackson (illness) missed a third consecutive practice Friday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports. Jackson has been sidelined for the entire week of practice due to the illness. Even if he feels well enough to suit up for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Bengals, Jackson may play a limited role.

  • Ravens' DeSean Jackson: Missing another practice

Jackson (illness) isn't practicing Thursday, Jonas Shaffer of The Baltimore Sun reports. Jackson's unspecified ailment has kept him away from the team for the first two days of Week 18 prep, but he'll still have a good chance to play Sunday against the Bengals if he's able to practice Friday in some capacity. Since making his season debut Week 9, Jackson has compiled a 9-153-0 receiving line on 17 targets through his first seven games with Baltimore.

  • Ravens' DeSean Jackson: Misses practice Wednesday

Jackson didn't practice Wednesday due to an illness. Jackson now has two more chances to return to practice ahead of Sunday's game against the Bengals, but given his limited volume in the Ravens' passing attack, the veteran speedster isn't a high-percentage fantasy lineup option in Week 18.

  • Ravens' DeSean Jackson: Quiet stretch continues

Jackson had one catch for nine yards on two targets Sunday against the Steelers. Baltimore mustered just 14 completions and 130 passing yards Sunday and Mark Andrews was the primary target, which left little room for other Ravens pass catchers to make an impact. Jackson has not caught more than two passes in any game since joining the Ravens and has just two combined receptions for 19 yards over his last three games. If Tyler Huntley gets another start Sunday, there will likely be few targets to go around to Ravens receivers, including to Jackson.

  • Ravens' DeSean Jackson: Back at practice

Jackson (illness) returned to a full practice Thursday. Jackson sat out Wednesday's practice, but the wideout's return to the field in full Thursday puts him on track to be available Sunday night against the Steelers. That said, with an 8-144-0 line on 15 targets in six games this season, Jackson's not a high-percentage fantasy option.

  • Ravens' DeSean Jackson: Comes down with illness

Jackson missed Wednesday's practice while recovering from an illness, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports. An absence early in the practice week helps his chances to make a full recovery before Sunday's game against the Steelers. Jackson has been a part-time player even with the Ravens desperate for help at wide receiver, seeing either two or three targets in each of his six appearances for the team while never playing more than 35 percent of the snaps.

  • Ravens' DeSean Jackson: Minimal involvement in win

Jackson caught one of two targets for 10 yards in Saturday's 17-9 win over the Falcons. Jackson operated as Baltimore's No. 3 receiver, playing just 15 of the Ravens' 52 offensive snaps. The 36-year-old had a quiet day with the Ravens leaning heavily on the run and quarterback Tyler Huntley attempting only 17 passes. With fellow wideout Devin Duvernay (foot) out for the season, Jackson is a candidate to see more playing time. However, it doesn't appear the Ravens are committed to making him a significant part of the game plan. Jackson should remain off the fantasy radar when the Ravens host the Steelers in Week 17.

  • Ravens' DeSean Jackson: Invisible in loss

Jackson didn't catch any of his three targets in Saturday's 13-3 loss to the Browns. Jackson once again didn't make a huge impact Saturday, as he played just 32 percent of Baltimore's offensive snaps and failed to haul in a single target. With fellow wide receiver Devin Duvernay having suffered a potentially significant injury during Tuesday's practice, the speedy veteran could be in line for more snaps down the stretch alongside Demarcus Robinson, James Proche and the newly acquired Sammy Watkins.

  • Ravens' DeSean Jackson: Signed to active roster

Baltimore signed Jackson to its active roster Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Jackson, who initially signed a practice-squad deal with Baltimore in mid-October, was elevated for the third and final time Week 13. Across his first three appearances of the season, the veteran wideout secured five of eight targets for 100 yards. Now that he's signed to the active roster, Jackson figures to garner a similar role in the Ravens' passing attack for the remainder of the season, but given Lamar Jackson's current knee injury, Baltimore may struggle to create much traction through the air.

  • Ravens' DeSean Jackson: Moved up to active roster

The Ravens elevated Jackson from the practice squad for Sunday's game against the Titans, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Jackson will be added to Baltimore's active roster for the second game in a row after catching two of his three targets for 74 yards and a touchdown in last week's loss to the Jaguars. The 34-year-old wideout once again figures to serve as a deep-threat option behind Devin Duvernay and Demarcus Robinson against Tennessee. Since this is his third activation of the season, Jackson will now require a full spot on the Ravens' active roster to continue suiting up for the team moving forward.

  • Ravens' DeSean Jackson: Heads back to practice squad

Jackson reverted to the Ravens' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log. Jackson was elevated for the second time this season and appeared to serve as the Ravens' No. 3 wideout behind Devin Duvernay and Demarcus Robinson in Week 12. While the 35-year-old Jackson ultimately played fewer offensive snaps (10) than James Proche (14), the veteran deep threat made a bigger impact by catching two of his three targets for 74 yards. Jackson will now be eligible for just one more activation from the practice squad before requiring an active roster spot to continue suiting up for Baltimore this season.

  • Ravens' DeSean Jackson: Delivers as deep threat

Jackson recorded two receptions on three targets for 74 yards in Sunday's 28-27 loss to the Jaguars. Jackson wasn't a significant part of Baltimore's offense from a target perspective, but only Josh Oliver recorded more yards. Nearly all of Jackson's production came on a 62-yard reception late in the fourth quarter, which helped set up a go-ahead touchdown for Baltimore. Jackson officially remains on the Ravens' practice squad, though he has been on the active roster for two of the team's last three games.

  • Ravens' DeSean Jackson: Bumps up from practice squad

The Ravens elevated Jackson (hamstring) from the practice squad Saturday ahead of Sunday's game in Jacksonville, Jonas Shaffer of The Baltimore Sun reports. Since joining Baltimore's practice squad back on Oct. 19, Jackson made one appearance Week 9 in New Orleans, lasting nine offensive snaps and hauling in one of two targets for 16 yards before departing with a hamstring injury. Even with the benefit of a Week 10 bye, though, he wasn't available Week 11 against the Panthers before returning to practice Wednesday. Now that the health concern is behind him, Jackson could play a decent role Sunday with the Ravens' top two wide receivers -- Devin Duvernay (hamstring) and Demarcus Robinson (hip) -- questionable to suit up.

  • DeSean Jackson: Practicing again

Jackson (hamstring) returned to practice Wednesday. Jackson won't be listed on the Ravens' Week 12 injury report due to his current status as a practice squad player. He could nonetheless be promoted and get snaps this Sunday in Jacksonville if he proves himself healthy on the practice field this week. He caught one of two targets for 16 yards in his lone appearance for Baltimore, logging 11 snaps on offense in a 27-13 win over the Saints in Week 9. Jackson isn't likely to see more than a handful of targets if he plays.

  • DeSean Jackson: Remains sidelined Friday

Jackson (hamstring) wasn't present for practice Friday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports. As a member of the practice squad, the Ravens don't have to include Jackson on their Week 11 injury report, but given that he hasn't been practicing this week, it seems unlikely that the veteran wideout will be elevated to the team's roster in advance of Sunday's game against the Panthers.

  • DeSean Jackson: Missing for another practice

Jackson (hamstring) isn't participating in Thursday's practice, Jonas Shaffer of The Baltimore Sun reports. Because Jackson reverted to the practice squad following their most recent game Week 9 in New Orleans, the Ravens won't have to include him on their Week 11 injury report. However, with Baltimore beat reporters confirming that Jackson didn't log any activity at practices Wednesday and Thursday, the veteran wideout doesn't look as though he'll be elevated from the practice squad ahead of Sunday's game against the Panthers. If that's the case, the Ravens will still have the ability to elevate Jackson from the practice squad for two more games before he would have to be permanently signed to the 53-man roster in order to suit up again for the team.

  • Ravens' DeSean Jackson: Not practicing

Jackson (hamstring) isn't practicing Wednesday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports. Jackson is apparently still bothered by his hamstring after a Week 10 bye, having suffered the injury Week 9 in his Ravens debut. He caught one of two targets for 16 yards in the contest, playing 11 snaps on offense in a 27-13 win over the Saints.
