  • Raiders' Harrison Bryant: Signs one-year deal with Vegas

Bryant agreed Wednesday with the Raiders on a one-year, $3.25 million contract, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Bryant is slated to replace Austin Hooper as the the veteran backup to 2023 second-round draft pick Michael Mayer (toe) in Las Vegas. After exceeding 200 receiving yards in each of his first three seasons in the NFL, Bryant had just 81 yards with the Browns in the 2023 regular season despite suiting up for all 17 games.

  • Browns' Harrison Bryant: Saves best game for playoffs

Bryant caught four of six targets for 64 yards in Saturday's 45-14 wild-card playoff loss to Houston. Bryant had his best game of the season in the playoff loss, nearly equaling the receiving yards he had in 17 regular-season games. The tight end recorded 13 catches on 20 targets for 81 yards and three touchdowns in 2023. This was the season that starter David Njoku made an evolutionary leap, which rendered Bryant to career lows in catches, targets and yards while fighting for tight end scraps with Jordan Akins. Bryant enters the offseason as an unrestricted free agent, but his organizational and system knowledge could be useful to a team that is still in its competitive window.

  • Browns' Harrison Bryant: Likely to start Week 18

Bryant was spotted warming up as Cleveland's starting tight end ahead of Sunday's game against the Bengals, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports. Though top tight end David Njoku is active for the contest, he and several other Browns starters are expected to be rested for all or most of the Week 18 contest while Cleveland is already locked in as the No. 5 seed in the AFC playoffs. Given that Njoku wasn't warming up with the first-team offense, he looks like he's being viewed as more of an emergency option Sunday while Bryant and Jordan Akins play nearly all the snaps at tight end. Through 16 games this season, Bryant has recorded 13 catches for 81 yards and three touchdowns on 20 targets.

  • Browns' Harrison Bryant: Finds end zone in Week 13 loss

Bryant caught all five of his targets for 49 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 36-19 loss to the Rams. Joe Flacco leaned heavily on his tight ends in his first start of the season, but surprisingly it was Bryant who the veteran QB showed the most chemistry with and not David Njoku, who caught only two of six targets for 17 yards. Bryant set new season highs in catches, yards and targets Sunday and has found the end zone in back-to-back games. If Flacco gets another start in Week 14 against the Jaguars, the fourth-year TE will be an intriguing fantasy option.

  • Browns' Harrison Bryant: Scores second TD

Bryant caught his lone target for a two-yard touchdown in Sunday's 29-12 loss to Denver. Bryant lined up in the backfield and found his way to an open space at the goal line to haul in the first career TD pass for quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson (concussion). It was Bryant's second touchdown of the season and first since Week 1. He's firmly behind David Njoku in the pecking order at tight end and has just 10 targets through 11 games. Bryant's knowledge of the system, however, keeps him relevant, and the Browns have deployed him in unique ways -- he's been used as both a runner and wildcat quarterback, although he fumbled a snap while lined up under center in Sunday's loss.

  • Browns' Harrison Bryant: Likely to play Sunday

Bryant (hip) is expected to play in Sunday's game against the Colts, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Bryant is officially listed as questionable for the contest after he sat out Wednesday's practice due to the hip injury before returning to the field as a limited participant Thursday and Friday. Assuming he's cleared in advance of Sunday's 1 p.m. ET kickoff, Bryant should step back in as the Browns' No. 2 tight end behind starter David Njoku.

  • Browns' Harrison Bryant: Gets in limited practice

Bryant (hip) was a limited participant at practice Thursday, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. Bryant missed practice entirely Wednesday and took a positive step forward by managing limited participation Thursday. If he can practice in full Friday, he would likely avoid carrying an injury designation into the weekend.

  • Browns' Harrison Bryant: Missing practice Wednesday

Bryant (hip) will not participate at practice Wednesday, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports. Bryant played 25 offensive snaps in Sunday's win versus San Francisco, and it's not clear when he picked up the injury. Cleveland's injury reports Thursday and Friday will provide more context regarding his potential availability for Week 7.

  • Browns' Harrison Bryant: Limited run in loss

Bryant caught his lone target for two yards and had one rushing attempt for two yards in Sunday's 28-3 loss to Baltimore. Bryant played a season-low 12 snaps, fewer than third-string tight end Jordan Akins, but usage patterns were skewed due to the blowout nature of the game and rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson being under center instead of Deshaun Watson (shoulder). Bryant should still be viewed as the top backup to starter David Njoku. Interestingly, the Browns dialed up a run for Bryant, the second straight week the tight end has been used a runner since Nick Chubb was lost to a season-ending knee injury. The Browns are off in Week 5.

  • Browns' Harrison Bryant: Involved as runner

Bryant was not targeted but had two carries for four yards in Sunday's 27-3 win over Tennessee. Cleveland's first game without running back Nick Chubb (knee) provided rushing opportunities for unlikely players, as Bryant and wide receiver Marquise Goodwin each saw carries. Bryant had 25 snaps, once again fitting in between David Njoku (52) and Jordan Akins (13) on the tight end depth chart.

  • Browns' Harrison Bryant: No catches in loss

Bryant did not catch either of two targets in Monday's 26-22 loss to Pittsburgh. Bryant was involved in the Browns' ominous first play of the game. Quarterback Deshaun Watson's throw was catchable, if slightly off target, but Bryant couldn't secure the ball and it deflected into the hands of Steelers linebacker Alex Highsmith, who returned it for a touchdown. Bryant (27 snaps) once again had more run than Jordan Akins (nine) and is firmly established as the backup tight end to starter David Njoku, although Monday's performance could begin to change that. Bryant's been targeted twice in each of the first two games.

  • Browns' Harrison Bryant: Returns to practice

Bryant (medical condition) returned to practice Tuesday, Mary Kay Cabot of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. Bryant missed the last few weeks due to a non-football health issue, but it was encouraging to see him back in action Tuesday. The 2020 fourth-rounder will now have a week and a half to work with the team during practice before the Browns' regular-season opener against the Bengals on Sept. 10.

  • Browns' Harrison Bryant: Has non-football health issue

Bryant has been held out of recent practices due to a non-football health issue, Zac Jackson of The Athletic reports. Bryant, who did not play in Friday's preseason game against Washington, has been running and working with trainers on the side during and after practice. That's a sign that he could be cleared to return this week.

  • Browns' Harrison Bryant: Has good practice day

Bryant had his most active day as a receiver in training camp during Saturday's practice, Anthony Poisal of the Browns' official site reports. Bryant's been active every day in camp but was extra involved as a receiver due to Jordan Akins being sidelined by a knee injury. His best effort was a sliding catch for 30 yards during a 7-on-7 drill. Bryant is slated to serve as the team's third tight end if Akins is healthy.

  • Browns' Harrison Bryant: Two catches in finale

Bryant caught two of two targets for 20 yards in a 28-14 loss to the Steelers in Week 18. Bryant finished the season with career highs in catches (31), targets (42) and yards (239) along with one touchdown. An increase in production was expected after the Browns didn't bring Austin Hooper back, although Bryant was clearly second in the pecking order behind David Njoku, who lived up to the four-year deal he signed during the offseason. Cleveland's down season was not the fault of its receivers, so expect Bryant, who will be entering the final year of his rookie deal in 2023, to return in the same role.

  • Browns' Harrison Bryant: Two catches in win

Bryant caught two of three targets for 19 yards in Sunday's 24-10 win over Washington. Bryant had his most active day as a receiver since Week 11. In the five games leading up to Week 17, Bryant totaled six targets, six catches and 30 yards. He remains a clear backup to David Njoku but could benefit in 2023 when quarterback Deshaun Watson has a full offseason to establish a rapport with all of Cleveland's receivers. In a positive sign that Watson is getting on the same page with the rest of the offense, he completed six of 10 passes for 146 yards and three touchdowns in the second half.

  • Browns' Harrison Bryant: Targeted once in limited snaps

Bryant caught his lone target for eight yards in Sunday's 23-10 loss to the Bengals. Bryant played a season-low eight snaps, as the Browns' tight end offense ran through David Njoku (69 snaps, nine targets). It's the second consecutive week with just one target for Bryant, and he has little fantasy utility while Njoku is healthy.

  • Browns' Harrison Bryant: Minimized role in win

Bryant caught two of two targets for nine yards in Sunday's 23-17 overtime victory over the Buccaneers. Bryant's workload picked up while David Njoku missed two games and was slowed in his return last week from an ankle injury, but the starting tight end was back in form Sunday. That resulted in fewer snaps and looks for Bryant, who had 10 targets the last two games. With Deshaun Watson due back from his 11-game suspension next week at Houston, Bryant could see an uptick in production going forward.

  • Browns' Harrison Bryant: Receives seven targets in loss

Bryant caught four of seven targets for 41 yards in Sunday's 31-23 loss to the Bills. Bryant once again led all Cleveland tight ends in playing time (55 snaps, 73 percent) en route to a season high in targets, as David Njoku (28 snaps, 37 percent) had his workload managed in his return from an ankle injury that cost him two games. Njoku could regain his usual role in next week's home game against Tampa Bay however, pushing Bryant back down the depth chart.

  • Browns' Harrison Bryant: Scores first TD

Bryant caught three of three targets for 15 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 39-17 loss to Miami. Bryant scored his first touchdown since Week 17 of 2021. The emergence of David Njoku (ankle) as a reliable threat in 2022 has diminished Bryant's opportunities, but he benefited from Njoku being inactive for a second straight game Sunday.
