  • Broncos' Courtland Sutton: Catches one pass in loss

Sutton played 28 snaps on offense and caught one of four targets for two yards in Sunday's 27-14 loss to the Raiders before departing with an ankle injury. Though the ankle injury spelled an early end to his final appearance of the season, the veteran wideout will presumably be fully healthy for Denver's offseason program. Sutton finished the 2023 campaign with team highs in both catches (59) and receiving yards (772) while also scoring a career-high 10 touchdowns in 16 appearances. The 28-year-old operated as the team's No. 1 receiver and a focal point of their passing game, leading Denver with 90 targets and 48.3 receiving yards per game. Sutton's fantasy outlook heading into 2024 will hinge on how Denver elects to address the quarterback position, as the team is expected to part ways with Russell Wilson in the offseason.

  • Broncos' Courtland Sutton: Injures ankle Sunday

Sutton exited Sunday's game against the Raiders due to an ankle injury, Ryan McFadden of The Denver Post reports. Prior to being forced out of the contest, Sutton had caught one of his four targets for two yards. While he is sidelined, Jerry Jeudy, Marvin Mims, Brandon Johnson and Lil'Jordan Humphrey are available to handle the Broncos' Week 18 wideout duties.

  • Broncos' Courtland Sutton: Cleared to play in season finale

Sutton (concussion) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Raiders. Sutton's lack of injury designation suggests he has cleared the NFL's five-step concussion protocol. He missed the Week 17 win over the Chargers and was limited in practice Wednesday but upgraded to full participation Thursday and Friday. Sutton caught 10 touchdown passes from Russell Wilson in 15 games prior to getting injured, but he'll have Jarrett Stidham as his quarterback for the season finale with Wilson benched.

  • Broncos' Courtland Sutton: Practices fully Thursday

Sutton (concussion) was a full participant in practice Thursday. Sutton sat out the Broncos' Week 17 win over the Chargers after suffering a concussion in a Week 16 loss to New England, but he appears to be working toward a return to action for this Sunday's season finale in Las Vegas. After practicing in limited fashion Wednesday, Sutton demonstrated progress by taking every rep Thursday, indicating that he's been cleared for contact. Before getting the green light to play Sunday, Sutton will still need to get clearance from an independent neurologist prior to being removed from the five-step concussion protocol, something that could happen Friday or Saturday.

  • Broncos' Courtland Sutton: Returns to limited practice

Sutton (concussion) was a limited participant in practice Wednesday, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports. Sutton didn't practice at all last week before being ruled out ahead of Broncos' Week 17 win over the Chargers. The wideout's return to a limited session Wednesday has him trending in the right direction ahead of Sunday's season finale against the Raiders, but with Denver eliminated from playoff contention, the team has little incentive to play Sutton this weekend if there's any doubt about his status as game day approaches.

  • Broncos' Courtland Sutton: Ruled out for Week 17

Coach Sean Payton said Friday that Sutton (concussion) won't play Sunday against the Chargers, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports. Sutton departed in the first half of this past Sunday's loss to the Patriots and eventually was diagnosed with a concussion. He proceeded to miss practice both Wednesday and Thursday before the Broncos made a decision on his availability for Week 17. With Sutton sitting out Sunday, the Broncos' receiving corps should be paced by Jerry Jeudy, with Brandon Johnson, Lil'Jordan Humphrey and potentially Marvin Mims (hamstring) mixing in behind him.

  • Broncos' Courtland Sutton: Misses another practice

Sutton (concussion) remained sidelined at practice Thursday, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports. Sutton thus has one more chance to practice ahead of Sunday's game against the Chargers. If he's unable to gain clearance to play this weekend, Jerry Jeudy, Marvin Mims (hamstring), Brandon Johnson and Lil'Jordan Humphrey would profile as quarterback Jarrett Stidham's top targets at receiver in Week 17.

  • Broncos' Courtland Sutton: Not able to practice

Sutton (concussion) didn't practice Wednesday, Ryan McFadden of The Denver Post reports. Sutton's absence was to be expected less than 72 hours after he suffered a concussion in the first half of Sunday's 26-23 loss to the Patriots. If he clears the five-step concussion protocol ahead of this weekend's game against the Chargers, Sutton will be on the receiving end of passes from Jarrett Stidham rather than Russell Wilson, who has been moved to the bench for Denver's final two games of the season.

  • Broncos' Courtland Sutton: Enters concussion protocol

Head coach Sean Payton confirmed after Sunday's 26-23 loss to the Patriots that Sutton is in concussion protocol, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports. Sutton was forced out early in the first half and didn't return, finishing the contest with zero catches on one target over just nine snaps. The wideout will now have six days to potentially clear the five-step protocol ahead of the Broncos' Week 17 game Dec. 31 versus the Chargers.

  • Broncos' Courtland Sutton: Ruled out for rest of game

Sutton (head) will not return to Sunday's game against the Patriots, James Palmer of NFL Network reports. Sutton was evaluated for a head injury in the first half of Sunday's contest, and it has been determined that his night has come to an early end. It remains to be seen if he will miss any further time, but Sutton will have to clear the league's concussion protocol before taking the field again.

  • Broncos' Courtland Sutton: Undergoing concussion check

Sutton is being evaluated for a possible head injury, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports. No further details were immediately available, but it remains to be seen if Sutton will return to Sunday's contest. His status will be updated again when more details are available.

  • Broncos' Courtland Sutton: Records 71 yards

Sutton recorded five receptions on six targets for 71 yards in Saturday's 42-17 loss to the Lions. Sutton has been productive primarily by reaching the end zone this season. While he failed to do so Saturday, he led the team in receptions and tallied four catches that went for double-digit gains. Sutton's performance marked the fourth time he's topped 70 yards this season but for only the second time in six games since Denver's Week 9 bye.

  • Broncos' Courtland Sutton: WRs to Start

Sutton got back in the end zone in Week 13 at Houston after failing to score a touchdown in Week 12 against Cleveland, and he's now scored a touchdown in six of his past seven games, with nine touchdowns on the year. He should have the chance to score again in Week 14 at the Chargers, who are No. 3 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing receivers. Russell Wilson should continue to lean on Sutton in this matchup, and he has top-15 upside in the majority of leagues.

  • Broncos' Courtland Sutton: Scores ninth touchdown

Sutton recorded two receptions on seven targets for 77 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 22-17 loss to the Texans. Sutton led the Broncos in targets but spent much of the game squandering his opportunity. That changed late in the third quarter when he made an acrobatic 45-yard touchdown grab, just reaching the front pylon as he was touched down. Sutton has now found the end zone nine times on the campaign -- including six times in his last seven games -- even though he's topped 75 receiving yards only three times this season.

  • Broncos' Courtland Sutton: Three grabs in Sunday's win

Sutton caught three of six targets for 61 yards in Sunday's 29-12 win over the Browns. Russell Wilson attempted only 22 passes on the day as the Broncos led wire to wire, but Sutton still paced the team in receiving yards and nearly extended his touchdown streak to six games with a 31-yard gain on the opening drive that saw him pushed out of bounds at the Cleveland three-yard line. Samaje Perine scored instead on the next play. While Sutton's TD streak is over, he remains the team's top receiving option with a 48-560-8 line on 68 targets through 11 contests heading into a Week 13 clash with the Texans.

  • Broncos' Courtland Sutton: Catches game-winning TD

Sutton hauled in four of his five targets for 66 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 21-20 victory over the Vikings. Sutton made the play of the game when he leaped over his defender after running a corner route to grab a lob from Russell Wilson for the game-winning score. The QB/WR duo have already connected in the red zone a whopping eight times this season, resulting in all eight of Sutton's touchdowns through 10 games. The 28-year-old has still yet to eclipse the century mark in receiving yards in any game this year, which might suggest that the wideout's current high ranking in fantasy is being inflated by an unsustainable touchdown rate. That caveat aside, Sutton should continue to be deployed confidently in fantasy lineups, even with a tough matchup against the Browns looming next Sunday.

  • Broncos' Courtland Sutton: Scores in fourth straight

Sutton recorded eight receptions (on 11 targets) for 53 yards and a touchdown in Monday's 24-22 win over the Bills. Sutton remained Russell Wilson's favorite target, as no other pass catcher on the team saw more than four opportunities. Even with a long gain of 30 yards, Sutton managed to average only 6.6 yards per catch. He overcame the lack of big-play ability with a spectacular toe-tapping, seven-yard touchdown reception midway through the first quarter. Sutton now has found the end zone in four consecutive games but has topped 50 receiving yards only twice in that span.

  • Broncos' Courtland Sutton: Scores in win

Sutton caught all six of his targets for 76 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 19-17 win over the Packers. Sutton led Denver in all major receiving categories. His performance was highlighted by an 18-yard touchdown during the third quarter. Through seven appearances, Sutton has now found the end zone five times, giving him good value ahead of Week 8's game versus the Chiefs.

  • Broncos' Courtland Sutton: WRs to Sit

Sutton has been the best receiver for the Broncos this season, and he comes into Week 7 against Green Bay with at least 11.6 PPR points in all but one game. He also has a touchdown in four of six outings, but I don't love this matchup for him. The Packers are No. 7 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing receivers, and Jaire Alexander could make things uncomfortable for Sutton this week. With Alexander healthy, Green Bay has already held D.J. Moore to 4.5 PPR points in Week 1 and Davante Adams to 8.5 PPR points in Week 5. I would only consider starting Sutton and Jerry Jeudy as No. 3 Fantasy receivers in the majority of leagues for Week 7.

  • Broncos' Courtland Sutton: WRs to Sit

Sutton had his worst game of the season in Week 5 against the Jets with one catch for 13 yards on three targets, and I expected him to struggle in that matchup. He should have another tough day against the Chiefs on the road, and Sutton is barely worth starting in three-receiver leagues. He now has eight targets in his past two games for four catches, 40 yards and a touchdown, and Jerry Jeudy has seemingly passed Sutton as the go-to receiver for Russell Wilson with 12 targets in his past two games for nine catches and 102 yards. I don't mind Jeudy as a No. 3 Fantasy receiver in most leagues in Week 6, but I would try to bench Sutton if you can.
