Ragnow (ankle/knee/toe) plans to take time this offseason to assess his injuries and plot his future, Kyle Meinke of MLive.com reports. Ragnow has been dealing with an inoperable toe condition for the better part of three years and played through knee and ankle sprains during Detroit's playoff run. The 27-year-old just wrapped up his sixth NFL season after being drafted No. 20 overall in 2018 out of Arkansas. He missed just two starts in 2023, but injuries have clearly taken a toll on his body. "I need to find a way to get back to Frank," Ragnow said. "And I don't regret any of this at all, but it weighs on you, and I'm just going to take some time and really figure everything out to make sure that I'm feeling good, not only for me the football player but for me to be the best husband and best father and everything with that as well."... Lions' Frank Ragnow: Ready for NFC Championship Game
Ragnow (ankle/knee) has no injury designation ahead of Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the 49ers, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports. Despite being in visible pain throughout the Lions' divisional-round win over the Buccaneers, Ragnow was able to play through his injuries. He's expected to do it once again in the NFC Championship Game while filling his usual starting center role.... See More ... See Less -
Lions' Frank Ragnow: Nursing sprained knee, ankle
Ragnow sustained a sprained knee and a sprained ankle during Sunday's win versus the Buccaneers, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Impressively, Ragnow was able to finish Detroit's divisional-round victory despite the injuries. He's also expected to suit up for the NFC Championship Game at San Francisco, but it wouldn't be surprising to see him sit out of practice at least a couple times during the week.... See More ... Lions' Frank Ragnow: Won't return in Week 13
Ragnow (knee) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Saints. Ragnow sustained the knee injury in the second quarter and was carted back to the locker room. Graham Glasgow will stay at center for the rest of the game while Colby Sorsdal will step in at right guard.... See More ... See Less -
Lions' Frank Ragnow: Will not debut
Ragnow (toe) is listed as inactive for Monday's matchup with the Raiders. Ragnow has ramped up his preparation recently in hopes of making his season debut. While it appears to be nearing, he will have to wait another week before potentially suiting up. As a result, Graham Glasgow is expected to start at center versus Las Vegas.... See More ... Lions' Frank Ragnow: Status for Monday up in the air
Ragnow (calf/toe) is doubtful for Monday's contest against the Raiders, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports. Head coach Dan Campbell noted Saturday that it's "hard to say" whether Ragnow will be able to play or not, but the coach did say that the "good news" was that the center has an additional day to recover because the Lions play Monday night. Birkett notes that Detroit has been giving Ragnow one day off of practice per week to rest a toe injury he has dealt with since the 2021 season. If Ragnow is unable to suit up Monday, Graham Glasgow -- who has started at both guard positions this season -- is expected to shift to center while Kayode Awosika would start at left guard....
