  • Panthers' DJ Chark: Team-high yardage total in loss

Chark secured two of four targets for 46 yards in the Panthers' 9-0 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday. He also lost a fumble. Chark closed out his first Panthers season by setting the pace in receiving yards and targets on the afternoon while also sharing the team lead in receptions. Like all other Carolina pass catchers, Chark was partly a victim of rookie first overall pick's Bryce Young's shortcomings under center, and he put together an unremarkable 35-525-5 line across 15 games. Chark still displayed plenty of downfield chops and will still be just 27 when next season begins, but it remains to be seen if there will be mutual interest between him and the Panthers in a reunion after he played on a one-year deal in 2023.

  • Panthers' D.J. Chark: Sleeper WRs

Chark seems to enjoy the revenge game narrative. In 2022 with the Lions, he faced the Jaguars in Week 13 and caught five passes for 98 yards on six targets. Then this season, in Week 5 at Detroit, Chark had three catches for 42 yards and a touchdown on six targets. Let's see if he can keep this up as he faces Jacksonville again in Week 17, and he's coming off a big game in Week 16 against Green Bay with six catches for 98 yards and two touchdowns on eight targets. It helps that the Jaguars are No. 9 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing receivers, and I'm willing to take a chance on Chark as a No. 3 Fantasy receiver in all leagues.

  • Panthers' DJ Chark: Logs full practice Thursday

Chark (foot) practiced fully Thursday, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports. After opening Week 18 prep with a capped session due to a foot issue Wednesday, Chark was able to handle every practice rep one day later, thereby paving the way for him to suit up Sunday against the Buccaneers. Back in Week 13, he hauled in three of four targets for 56 yards at Tampa Bay.

  • Panthers' DJ Chark: Limited by foot injury Wednesday

Chark (foot) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, David Newton of ESPN.com reports. The foot injury is a new one for Chark, who has averaged 16.6 yards per catch on his 13 receptions over the last five games. He'll have two more sessions this week to get back to full before the Panthers potentially hand him a designation ahead of Sunday's contest against the Buccaneers.

  • Panthers' DJ Chark: Musters one catch in Week 17

Chark recorded one catch (on six targets) for 18 yards during Sunday's 26-0 loss at Jacksonville. It was a quiet follow-up to the six-catch, 98-yard, two-touchdown effort Chark put together last Sunday against the Packers. Despite tying fellow wide receiver Adam Thielen for the team lead in targets, Chark wasn't able to do much in a game in which quarterback Bryce Young threw for 112 yards on 32 attempts. Chark now will turn his focus to a Week 18 matchup with the Buccaneers.

  • Panthers' D.J. Chark: Week 17 Waiver Priority List

Chark was awesome in Week 16 against Green Bay with six catches for 98 yards and two touchdowns on eight targets. Normally, I'd write it off as a fluke since prior to that he scored 8.6 PPR points or less in four games in a row, but he has a favorable matchup in Week 17 at Jacksonville. The Jaguars are No. 9 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing receivers, and this is a revenge game for Chark. I'm willing to take a chance on him as a No. 3 Fantasy receiver in all leagues in Week 17.

  • Panthers' DJ Chark: Explodes for two-touchdown effort

Chark secured six of eight targets for 98 yards and two touchdowns in the Panthers' 33-30 loss to the Packers on Sunday. He also committed a fumble that was recovered by Carolina. The Bryce Young-Chark connection, dormant most of the season, came alive at an opportune time Sunday, with the speedy veteran bringing in 11- and 10-yard scoring grabs in the fourth quarter. Chark tied for the team lead in receptions and targets while setting the pace in receiving yards, and the pair of scores pushed his season total (five) to his best showing in that category since the 2020 season. Chark's reception and yardage numbers were also season-best figures, sending him into a Week 17 road matchup against a suspect Jaguars secondary with plenty of momentum.

  • Panthers' DJ Chark: Minimal role again Sunday

Chark secured one of two targets for 18 yards in the Panthers' 9-7 win over the Falcons on Sunday. Chark did make good use of his one reception, but he was limited to under 30 receiving yards for the second straight contest. The speedy veteran hasn't topped three catches or 56 receiving yards in any game since Week 3, keeping his fantasy value significantly capped even in deep formats heading into a Week 16 visit from the Packers.

  • Panthers' DJ Chark: Makes two grabs

Chark caught two of four targets for 26 yards in Sunday's 28-6 loss to the Saints. Chark's output was close to his weekly average within a poor Panthers passing attack. Through 11 games, the veteran sports merely 25 catches (on 46 targets) for 345 yards and three touchdowns.

  • Panthers' DJ Chark: Tops 50 yards

Chark caught three of four targets for 56 yards in Sunday's 21-18 loss to the Buccaneers. Chark placed second on the team in receiving yards, trailing only rookie Jonathan Mingo. With Carolina's offensive struggles hurting his stock, Chark's output Sunday marked just his second game with over 50 yards this season. Next up is a divisional meeting with the Saints, against whom Chark caught one pass for 15 yards back in Week 2.

  • Panthers' DJ Chark: Tallies 34 yards

Chark recorded three catches on four targets for 34 yards in Sunday's 17-10 loss to the Titans. Chark was held off the stat sheet in his return from an elbow injury in Week 11, so this was something of a bounce-back performance. The entirety of his production came on long catches of 19 and 15 yards, and most of his targets are likely to continue to come deep down the field. However, with Bryce Young struggling, Chark will be hard-pressed to be a consistent contributor.

  • Panthers' DJ Chark: Not targeted Sunday

Chark played 44 offensive snaps yet was not targeted once in Sunday's 33-10 loss to the Cowboys. Chark's performance is a new low in what's been a widely disappointing season with the Panthers. While rookie quarterback Bryce Young has found success targeting top wideout Adam Thielen, he's struggled mightily going to just about anyone else. Without a single look his way Sunday, Chark's stock has somehow dipped further as he now prepares for the team's Week 12 game at Tennessee.

  • Panthers' DJ Chark: Turns in full practice

Chark (elbow) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. Chark was unable to play through his elbow injury in last Thursday's loss to the Bears, but with the benefit of a longer turnaround for the Panthers' Week 11 game against the Cowboys, he looks like he'll be ready to reprise his role as a starting receiver. The 27-year-old has struggled to connect with rookie quarterback Bryce Young this season, as Chark's biggest outing came Week 3 in Seattle, where he produced a 4-86-1 receiving line on 11 targets while Andy Dalton started under center -- Young was out with an ankle injury. In Chark's other six appearances in which Young started, the wideout has hauled in just 13 of 23 targets for 143 yards and two touchdowns.

  • Panthers' DJ Chark: Inactive in Week 10

Chark (elbow) is listed as inactive Thursday at Chicago, Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer reports. Chark played through an elbow injury this past Sunday against the Colts, but his 58 percent snap share was a season low, and his five-yard TD connection with quarterback Bryce Young was the lone bright spot for him in a two-catch, nine-yard effort. Chark proceeded to miss every practice this week, resulting in a doubtful designation ahead of an eventual inactive status for Thursday's game. With Chark and Laviska Shenault (ankle) sidelined, Adam Thielen, Jonathan Mingo, Terrace Marshall, Ihmir Smith-Marsette and Mike Strachan are the Panthers' available wide receivers in Week 10.

  • Panthers' DJ Chark: Listed as doubtful

Chark (elbow) is listed as doubtful for Thursday's game against the Bears. Chark has missed three straight practices leading up to Thursday's road contest, despite getting in some limited practice sessions the week prior and even managing to suit up versus the Colts this past Sunday. At this point, Chark looks to be trending toward an absence for the Week 10 matchup. His status will be made official when the Panthers release their inactive list 90 minutes prior to Thursday's 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff.

  • Panthers' DJ Chark: Sits out Monday's walk-through

Chark (elbow) was listed as a non-participant for Monday's walk-through practice, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports. Chark was listed as questionable with the elbow injury ahead of Sunday's game against the Colts, but he ultimately suited up and played 41 of 71 snaps on offense in a 27-13 loss, finishing with two catches for nine yards and a touchdown on three targets. The Panthers didn't indicate that Chark aggravated the elbow injury during the contest, so his listed non-participation Monday could well be maintenance related. Carolina is facing a quick turnaround for Week 10 with a Thursday night matchup in Chicago.

  • Panthers' DJ Chark: Salvages day with TD

Chark caught two of three targets for nine yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-13 loss to the Colts. The 27-year-old wideout caught three or fewer passes for the fifth straight game and set a new season low in receiving yards as he continues to be a secondary piece of the Panthers' passing attack, but Chark managed to carve out a little fantasy value by catching his third TD of the season on a five-yard toss from Bryce Young in the third quarter. Chark's production might improve if veteran Andy Dalton took the reins of the offense -- he had his best game of the season in Week 3, delivering a 4-86-1 line on 11 targets from Dalton while Young was out with an ankle injury -- but a switch at QB isn't likely to happen on a short week as the Panthers get ready for a Thursday night clash with the Bears in Week 10.

  • Panthers' DJ Chark: Active Sunday

Chark (elbow) is active for Sunday's game against the Colts, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports. After sitting out Wednesday's practice due to an elbow injury, Chark got back on the field Thursday and Friday in a limited fashion but wore a red non-contact jersey on both occasions. He was listed as questionable heading into the weekend, but after Adam Schefter of ESPN reported Saturday that Chark was expected to suit up Sunday, the wide receiver is doing just that. Chark thus will look to produce versus an Indianapolis defense that has surrendered the seventh-most yards per target (8.7) to opposing WRs this season.

  • Panthers' DJ Chark: Status in question for Sunday

Chark (elbow) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Colts, Darin Gantt of the Panthers' official site reports. After sitting out the first practice of Week 9 prep due to an elbow injury, Chark was back on the field in a non-contact jersey Thursday and capped it with back-to-back limited practices. With his status up in the air for Sunday, the likes of Jonathan Mingo and Terrace Marshall could benefit if Chark is inhibited or sidelined this weekend.

  • Panthers' DJ Chark: Makes two grabs

Chark caught two of four targets for 23 yards in Sunday's 15-13 win over the Texans. Chark's production was on par with his recent performances, as he's topped three catches and 50 yards only once as a Panther. While top wideout Adam Thielen normally dominates the targets -- as was the case again Sunday -- rookie Jonathan Mingo flashed with four catches for 62 yards. Without consistent volume in a mostly underwhelming passing attack thus far, Chark's weekly value is fairly tepid besides the occasional touchdown.
