  • Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Relatively quiet in playoff loss

Hill secured five of eight targets for 62 yards and a touchdown in the Dolphins' 26-7 wild-card loss to the Chiefs on Saturday night. Hill's much-ballyhooed return to Arrowhead Stadium did have one standout moment, a 53-yard touchdown reception early in the second quarter that served as the Dolphins' first points of the night. However, the perennial Pro Bowler was otherwise impressively shut down by the Chiefs' secondary, netting just nine yards on his four other catches. Hill also spent some time on the sideline late in the fourth quarter, although there was no report of an injury. Despite the highly disappointing end to what once appeared to be a potential Super Bowl season for the Dolphins, Hill arguably profiled as the best receiver in the league while establishing new career highs during the regular season in receiving yards (1,799) and targets (171), as well as tying the career-best 119 receptions he'd recorded in one additional game in 2022.

  • Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: No designation in return to K.C.

Hill (ankle/quadricep) doesn't have an injury designation for Saturday's wild-card game against the Chiefs, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Though Hill was deemed a limited participant in practice throughout the week due to his two listed injuries, he's not expected to face any restrictions as he faces his former team for the second time this season. In the Dolphins' previous matchup with the Chiefs in Frankfurt, Germany in Week 9, Kansas City successfully contained Hill to eight catches for 62 yards on 10 targets. The Chiefs will have most of their key secondary players available in the rematch in Kansas City, and Hill will also have to deal with frigid projected gameday temperatures at Arrowhead Stadium that could stifle the passing game. On a positive note, Hill could have some of the attention drawn away from him if fellow starting receiver Jaylen Waddle -- who is listed as questionable after being a limited practice participant all week -- is able to make his return from a two-game absence due to a high-ankle sprain.

  • Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Another limited listing

Hill (ankle/quadricep) was listed as a limited participant in Wednesday's walk-through practice, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Hill was also listed as limited on Tuesday's practice estimate, but at this stage, his status for Saturday's playoff opener against the Chiefs doesn't appear to be in question. With that in mind, head coach Mike McDaniel told Furones earlier Wednesday that he's not concerned about either injury that Hill is tending to leading up to the wild-card contest. The Dolphins will post their final Week 18 injury report Thursday, when it will be known whether the wideout carries an injury designation into the weekend.

  • Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Listed as limited to begin week

Hill was listed as a limited participant on Tuesday's estimated practice report due to ankle and quadricep injuries, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. Hill's practice participation in Week 18 was affected by a personal matter in addition to the lingering ankle issue, but he's apparently now tending to a quad injury as the Dolphins prepare for Saturday's wild-card matchup in his old Kansas City stomping grounds. The fact that Hill was estimated as a limited participant rather than a non-participant to begin the week of practice seemingly bodes well for his chances of being cleared to play Saturday. In his first appearance against his former team back in Week 9, Hill caught eight of 10 targets for 62 yards and ran once for three yards in the Dolphins' 21-14 loss.

  • Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Leading receiver off 13 targets

Hill (ankle/personal) turned 13 targets into seven receptions for 82 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 21-14 loss to Buffalo. Hill suited up for the Dolphins' final game of the regular season after dealing with both physical and personal issues during the practice week. The small-framed receiver with big speed did his thing on the field, dominating the targets sans Jaylen Waddle (ankle) en route to a strong fantasy performance. Hill wraps up another monster fantasy campaign with 119 receptions for a league-leading 1,799 receiving yards while finishing in a tie with Tampa Bay's Mike Evans with 13 receiving touchdowns over 16 games. Hill's 2023 campaign will continue in the wild-card round with a road matchup against the Chiefs next Saturday.

  • Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Expected to practice Friday

Hill (ankle/personal) is in line to practice Friday, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports. Hill, who has been managing an ankle issue and tending to a personal matter this week, didn't practice Thursday, but the wideout's return to the field Friday has him trending in the right direction ahead of Sunday's game against the Bills. The Dolphins' final Week 18 injury report will be released later Friday and will reveal whether Hill approaches Sunday's contest with an injury designation or is fully cleared.

  • Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Not practicing Thursday

Hill (ankle/personal) wasn't spotted at Thursday's practice, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports. Hill, who has been managing an ankle issue, left Wednesday's practice early to tend to personal matters, and was deemed a limited participant on the Dolphins' subsequent injury report. With Hill absent from Thursday's session, what the star wideout is able to do Friday will provide key context with regard to his status ahead of Sunday night's game against the Bills.

  • Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Limited practice Wednesday

Hill was listed as a limited participant at practice Wednesday due to an ankle injury and a personal matter. In addition to managing his lingering ankle issue, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com relays that Hill left Wednesday's practice after he became aware that firefighters had been called to battle a fire at his home. Fortunately, nobody living at the home was harmed, per Louis-Jacques. Hill's next opportunity to practice ahead of Sunday's game against the Bills will come Thursday.

  • Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Serviceable production in rout

Hill secured six of 12 targets for 76 yards and rushed once for no gain in the Dolphins' 56-19 loss to the Ravens on Sunday. Hill led the Dolphins in receptions, receiving yards and targets across the board in the heavily lopsided loss, but he wasn't able to come close to maximizing the extra opportunity he was projected to see with Jaylen Waddle (ankle) sidelined. As the final score implies, game script was nowhere near normal for Miami, so the modest production, by Hill's standards, can be taken in that context. Hill figures to be even more involved whether or not Waddle is available for the Week 18 home showdown against the Bills that will decide the AFC East.

  • Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Off Week 17 injury report

Hill (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Ravens after participating fully in practice Friday, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports. Hill missed one game due to an ankle injury but led the Dolphins with 99 receiving yards in his return last week. He isn't expected to have any limitations come Sunday, and Hill should see plenty of targets against the stout Ravens secondary in the absence of fellow wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (ankle).

  • Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Manages limited practice

Hill (ankle) was a limited practice participant Thursday, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports. Hill's limited activity represented a step up from Wednesday, when he was listed as a non-participant on Miami's first Week 17 injury report. Though Hill sat out the Dolphins' Week 15 win over the Jets due to the ankle injury, he showed no ill effects in his return to the lineup this past Sunday, finishing the Dolphins' 22-20 win over the Cowboys with nine catches for 99 yards on 14 targets. His lack of full participation so far in practice this week is likely just a case of maintenance, and Hill should be ready to serve as quarterback Tua Tagovailoa's (thumb/quadricep) top target in this weekend's game in Baltimore.

  • Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Back at practice Thursday

Hill (ankle/rest) is present for practice Thursday, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports. Hill was held out of Wednesday's session for a 'veteran rest' day, but his return to practice Thursday effectively confirms he avoided any setbacks on his ankle during Miami's win over the Cowboys in Week 16. As such, even if Hill is listed as a limited participant at Thursday's practice, fantasy managers can still consider him to be trending in the right direction ahead of Sunday's road matchup at Baltimore.

  • Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Held out of practice to rest

Hill (ankle/rest) didn't practice Wednesday, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. The addition of 'veteran rest' next to Hill's name on the injury report essentially confirms he didn't suffer any setbacks with his sprained ankle during a 22-20 win over the Cowboys on Sunday. He missed the Week 15 win over the Jets but then caught nine of 14 targets for 99 yards in his return to the lineup against Dallas. Hill should be all set for his usual role Sunday against Baltimore, whereas running mate Jaylen Waddle (ankle) looks to be more in danger of missing the pivotal Week 17 game.

  • Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Suiting up Sunday

Hill (ankle) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Cowboys. Hill, who was inactive for Miami's 30-0 Week 15 win over the Jets, was deemed questionable for the contest after practicing in a limited fashion both Thursday and Friday. With the star wideout's active status confirmed, Hill is in line to step back into his high-volume role in the Dolphins' passing attack Sunday, in the absence of any in-game setbacks or limitations. In the 13 games he's played in this season, Hill has racked up 97 catches (on 132 targets) for a league-high 1,542 yards and 12 TDs.

  • Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Questionable for Week 16

Hill (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Cowboys after he was a limited participant in practices Thursday and Friday, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports. Hill, who was inactive for Miami's Week 15 win over the Jets, didn't practice Wednesday, but he's trending in the right direction after getting back on the field in some capacity for the last two days of Week 16 prep. Per Wingfield, head coach Mike McDaniel noted earlier Friday that Hill hasn't had any setbacks, while adding that he feels good about the star wideout's chances of being available for Sunday's game. Hill's status will be clarified when Miami releases its inactive list 90 minutes prior to the game's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff.

  • Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Limited in return to practice

Hill (ankle) was a limited participant Thursday in his return to practice, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports. The Dolphins listed Hill as questionable last week even though he didn't practice, and he ultimately missed a 30-0 win over the Jets. His return Thursday suggests he's got a much better shot to play this Sunday against the Cowboys, though it still seems more likely than not that Hill will be listed as questionable on the final injury report Friday.

  • Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Back at practice

Hill (ankle) returned to practice Thursday, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports. Hill, who was inactive for the Dolphins' Week 15 win over the Jets, didn't practice Wednesday, but the star wideout's return to the field one day later has him trending toward a potential return to action Sunday against the Cowboys. Even after missing last week's game, Hill still holds a 228-yard lead over the Eagles' A.J. Brown for the NFL's receiving crown.

  • Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Not practicing, but team optimistic

Hill (ankle) isn't practicing Wednesday, but head coach Mike McDaniel downplayed the receiver's absence, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports. "It's more us trying to make sure that we have all cylinders go," McDaniel said of Hill's status as Sunday's game against the Cowboys approaches. Hill missed last week's 30-0 win over the Jets after aggravating his ankle injury in the preceding game, but he tested the ankle out in warmups, which suggests he was close to playing. McDaniel noted that Hill could return to practice in the coming days, and if the star wideout is able to take full reps by Friday, he might even head into Sunday's game without an injury designation.

  • Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Game-time decision incoming

The Dolphins intend to allow Hill (ankle) to make his own decision on his availability for Sunday's game against the Jets, Adam Schefter of ESPN.com reports. Such a call won't be made until Hill goes through a pregame workout Sunday, after which Miami will post its list of inactives approximately 90 minutes before a 1 p.m. ET kickoff. With 1,542 receiving yards on his 2023 ledger so far and four games remaining in the regular season, he's in sight of the first 2,000-yard campaign in NFL history, but he's also tending to an ankle injury that he sustained in Monday's loss to the Titans. Hill didn't practice during Week 15 prep, and head coach Mike McDaniel told Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network on Friday that if Hill is "confident he can be himself, and I have the support of the trainers, he will play. If it's not, he won't." Hill thus is in line to be a game-time decision, with Jaylen Waddle set to serve as the Dolphins' No. 1 wideout if the former can't play.

  • Dolphins' Tyreek Hill: Questionable for Sunday

Hill (ankle) won't practice Friday and is slated to be listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Jets, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald and Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site report. Hill thus will finish the week with three consecutive listed DNPs, which clouds the star wideout's Week 15 status. Per Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network, coach Mike McDaniel noted Friday with regard to Hill's potential availability that "if he's confident he can be himself and I have the support of the trainers, he will play. If it's not, he won't." Look for added context to arrive closer to game-time, but fortunately for those considering Hill in fantasy lineups this weekend, the Dolphins kick off at 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday. If Hill is unavailable, fellow WRs Cedrick Wilson, Braxton Berrios, River Cracraft and Chase Claypool would be candidates to see added opportunities alongside Jaylen Waddle.
