  • Falcons' MyCole Pruitt: Injured in season finale

Pruitt (knee) finished 2023 with nine receptions on 12 targets for 110 yards and a touchdown across 17 appearances. Pruitt caught one or fewer passes in all but one game this season. He also secured just one touchdown after posting a career-high four scores in 2022. The veteran tight end, who's mostly known for his blocking prowess, was knocked out of the season finale due to a knee injury, and the extent of the issue remains unclear. The veteran is entering his age-32 season and is set to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

  • Falcons' MyCole Pruitt: Leaves with injury

Pruitt exited in the third quarter of Sunday's game against the Saints with a calf injury and is questionable to return, Terrin Waack of the Falcons' official site reports. The Falcons' No. 3 tight end hauled in his lone target for a 17-yard gain prior to leaving with the injury. If Pruitt is done for the day, the Falcons would be left with Tucker Fisk and John FitzPatrick as depth options behind Kyle Pitts and Jonnu Smith.

  • Falcons' MyCole Pruitt: Records two catches in loss

Pruitt played 21 of 72 snaps on offense and finished with two catches for 15 yards on two targets in Sunday's 29-25 loss to the Buccaneers. Pruitt fumbled after reeling in a six-yard reception in the second quarter, but fortunately for the Falcons, the football bounced out of bounds to allow Atlanta to maintain possession. The coaching staff didn't penalize Pruitt for the mistake, as he went on to haul in another target in the fourth quarter to extend a drive that culminated in a Bijan Robinson touchdown run. Even while Kyle Pitts and Jonnu Smith have been available for every game this season, Pruitt has managed to maintain a steady role on offense as the team's No. 3 tight end. Pruitt has played no fewer than 16 snaps on offense in any of his 13 appearances and has produced a 7-79-1 receiving line on 10 targets.

  • Falcons' MyCole Pruitt: Catches pass in loss

Pruitt caught one of two targets for nine yards during Sunday's 24-16 loss to the Commanders. Pruitt has garnered at least one target in four straight games, totaling three receptions for 41 yards during that stretch. However, barring an occasional touchdown, the veteran tight end doesn't have fantasy value moving forward.

  • Falcons' MyCole Pruitt: Makes splash Sunday

Pruitt caught his lone target for 22 yards during Sunday's 21-19 win over the Texans. Pruitt's big play set up a go-ahead touchdown for the Falcons in the fourth quarter. The veteran tight end has garnered a target in three straight games, but he doesn't have fantasy value moving forward.

  • Falcons' MyCole Pruitt: Targeted for second straight week

Pruitt failed to record a catch on one target during Sunday's 23-7 loss to Jacksonville. After not seeing a target across the first two weeks of the season, Pruitt has garnered one in back-to-back games. The veteran remains a block-first tight end, so barring an occasional touchdown, he has essentially zero fantasy value in standard leagues.

  • Falcons' MyCole Pruitt: Records first reception of 2023

Pruitt caught his only target for 10 yards during Sunday's 20-6 loss to the Lions. Pruitt played a season-low 17 offensive snaps but recorded his first reception of 2023 late in the fourth quarter. The veteran saw 59 offensive snaps through the first two weeks, so he's expected to be on the field often moving forward. However, he mostly operates as a blocker and doesn't hold much fantasy value as the No. 3 tight end in a run-heavy offense.

  • Falcons' MyCole Pruitt: Plays 38 offensive snaps

Pruitt played 49 snaps (38 offensive) but didn't record any counting stats during Sunday's 25-24 win over the Packers. Pruitt once again played nearly half of Atlanta's offensive snaps but didn't garner a target. This trend will likely continue throughout the season, as the veteran is firmly entrenched as the No. 3 tight end behind Kyle Pitts and Jonnu Smith. Pruitt caught just 16 passes last year -- his first in Atlanta -- but four of those went for touchdowns, so when he does get involved in the passing game, it could be with a splash play. However, that certainly isn't enough to put Pruitt on fantasy radars in standard leagues.

  • Falcons' MyCole Pruitt: Plays 32 snaps in Week 1

Pruitt played 32 snaps (25 offensive) but didn't record any counting stats during Sunday's 24-10 win over the Panthers. Coach Arthur Smith loves to utilize his tight ends. Kyle Pitts (32 offensive snaps), Jonnu Smith (26) and Pruitt (25) were all involved in nearly half of Atlanta's offensive plays, but Pitts was the only one in that group to record a target. While Jonnu, Pruitt and even fullback Keith Smith will spend a lot of time on the field this season, none of them hold much fantasy value, barring numerous injuries to the Falcons' top playmakers.

  • Falcons' MyCole Pruitt: Staying in Atlanta

Pruitt is re-signing with the Falcons on Tuesday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports. Pruitt is returning to Atlanta after appearing in 13 contests for the team last season. The 31-year-old recorded career highs across the board, with 16 receptions on 21 targets, 150 yards and four touchdowns. He'll likely be working to earn a role as the team's No. 3 tight end, behind Kyle Pitts and Jonnu Smith.

  • Falcons' MyCole Pruitt: Career-high year in receiving

Pruitt caught 16 of 21 targets for 150 yards and four scores across 13 appearances during the 2022 campaign. Pruitt signed with Atlanta's practice squad after failing to make the initial 53-man roster. However, following Kyle Pitts' knee injury in Week 11, Pruitt stepped up and made the most of his increased opportunity. He caught 12 of 17 targets for 119 yards and three touchdowns over the final six games of the season and ended the campaign with career highs in receptions, targets, receiving yards and touchdowns. The veteran tight end will be a free agent this offseason, but a return to Atlanta could be in the cards given his solid production and head coach Arthur Smith's proclivity for utilizing tight ends.

  • Falcons' MyCole Pruitt: Season-high 49 receiving yards

Pruitt caught all four of his targets for 49 yards during Sunday's 20-19 victory over the Cardinals. Pruitt notched season highs in targets, receptions and receiving yards during the Falcons' Week 17 win. Across 12 appearances, he's totaled 13 receptions on 16 targets for 116 yards and three touchdowns. He's been a touchdown-dependent streaming option in deeper leagues, but his overall value is diminished by Atlanta's lackluster passing attack. With Desmond Ridder at the helm, Pruitt has secured six of eight targets for 69 yards over the past three games, but he hasn't caught a touchdown since posting back-to-back scores in Weeks 12 and 13, when Marcus Mariota was operating as the primary signal-caller.

  • Falcons' MyCole Pruitt: Snaps two-game touchdown streak

Pruitt caught two of three targets for 20 yards during Sunday's 21-18 loss to the Saints. Pruitt caught at least one pass for a sixth straight game and finished with a season-high 20 receiving yards, but he snapped his two-game touchdown streak. Desmond Ridder failed to move the ball well through the air during his NFL debut, which limited all of Atlanta's pass catchers. Pruitt may have some value in deeper leagues, but he's likely a touchdown-dependent option moving forward.

  • Falcons' MyCole Pruitt: Back-to-back games with a TD

Pruitt caught his lone target for seven yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 19-16 loss versus the Steelers. Pruitt's only target went for a seven-yard score in the third quarter, which gave him a touchdown in back-to-back games and cut Atlanta's deficit to 19-13. With Kyle Pitts (knee) out, the veteran tight end operated behind Parker Hesse but ahead of Anthony Firkser for a second straight game. Despite playing fewer snaps, Firkser and Pruitt continue to be slightly more involved in the passing game than Hesse, but all three will remain risky fantasy plays due to Arthur Smith's run-first mindset.

  • Falcons' MyCole Pruitt: Season-high 17-yard reception

Pruitt gathered in his only target for 17 yards during Sunday's 27-24 victory versus the Bears. Pruitt secured just one reception for a third straight game, totaling 29 receiving yards during that stretch. With Kyle Pitts (knee) leaving the contest early, Pruitt played a season-high 31 offensive snaps, which was second most among tight ends behind Parker Hesse (37). Both Pruitt and Hesse figure to garner increased roles if Pitts has to miss extended time, but neither backup projects to have as large of an impact in the passing game as Pitts.

  • Falcons' MyCole Pruitt: Records second reception of season

Pruitt caught his only target for six yards during Sunday's 20-17 loss versus the Chargers. Pruitt has played at least 11 offensive snaps in each of the past five games, but he's seen just two targets, catching both for eight yards. Atlanta's passing attack remains limited, so despite Pruitt's consistent role in the Falcons offense, he doesn't have much fantasy value moving forward.

  • Falcons' MyCole Pruitt: Joins active roster

Pruitt was signed to the Falcons' active roster Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports. Pruitt signed with Atlanta's practice squad after failing to make the 53-man roster in August. However, the veteran tight end has been elevated for each of the team's last two contests, catching his only target for a two-yard touchdown in Week 6 against the 49ers.

  • MyCole Pruitt: Moves back to practice squad

Pruitt reverted to the Falcons' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log. Pruitt was elevated to the active roster for the first time with starting tight end Kyle Pitts (hamstring) sidelined against the Buccaneers on Sunday. As a result, the ninth-year veteran played 12 of Atlanta's 66 offensive snaps behind Parker Hesse (41 snaps) and Anthony Firkser (15 snaps). Pruitt did not receive a target during Sunday's loss, and he will now be eligible for two more elevations while on the Falcons' practice squad this season.

  • MyCole Pruitt: Joins Atlanta's practice squad

Pruitt was signed to the Falcons' practice squad Wednesday, Tori McElhaney of the team's official site reports. Pruitt failed to make the 53-man roster but will be kept around the organization in a practice squad capacity. The 30-year-old tight end is more experienced than most practice squad players, having dressed for 79 NFL games in his career.

  • MyCole Pruitt: Can't stick with Falcons

Atlanta released Pruitt on Tuesday, Jeff Schultz of The Athletic reports. Pruitt won't make the Falcons' initial 53-man roster, but the team could keep him in mind as things continue to develop. He appeared in 16 games with the Titans last season and recorded 14 receptions for 145 yards and three touchdowns on 18 targets.
