Panthers' Teddy Williams: Planted on IR

Williams (shoulder) was placed on injured reserve Friday, Joseph Person of the Charlotte Observer reports.

Williams sustained a shoulder stinger in Thursday's preseason finale against the Steelers. Barring an injury settlement, he's unlikely to come off IR until season's end.
