Murray closed with 11 points (4-12 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), seven rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal in 38 minutes during Friday's 105-98 Play-In Game loss to New Orleans. Murray had to leave the game in the second quarter due to a hip problem, and even though he returned in the second half, he didn't look at his best -- and he was certainly not as good as he was against the Warriors in the previous round of the Play-In Tournament. Murray ends his second professional campaign with averages of 15.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.8 blocks in 33.6 minutes per game -- all slight improvements from his rookie season.... Kings' Keegan Murray: Heads to locker room
Murray went to the locker room after suffering a left hip injury during the second quarter of Friday's Play-In Game against the Pelicans, Will Guillory of The Athletic reports. Murray appeared to slip on a wet spot on the court, and he was reportedly favoring his hip on the way to the locker room, per Sean Cunningham of Fox 40 Sacramento. Trey Lyles would likely be asked to step up if Murray can't return.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Keegan Murray: Leads all scorers in win
Murray ended with 32 points (10-20 FG, 8-13 3Pt, 4-4 FT), nine rebounds and two steals over 39 minutes during Tuesday's 118-94 Play-In Game win over the Warriors. Murray torched the Warriors to the tune of 32 points, including eight three-pointers. The Kings led from start to finish, sending Golden State home in emphatic fashion. They will now head to New Orleans, where the Pelicans await, with both teams trying to secure the eighth and final playoff spot.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Keegan Murray: Available for Thursday's matchup
Murray (calf) is available for Thursday's game against New Orleans. Murray was a full participant in Thursday's shootaround and will officially be available once again despite his lingering calf soreness. However, the Kings are playing the first half of a back-to-back set Thursday, so the team could monitor the forward's playing time against the Pelicans.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Keegan Murray: Gets questionable designation
Murray is questionable for Thursday's game against the Pelicans with left calf soreness. Murray will be tabbed questionable for a second consecutive contest due to a left calf issue. He played through the injury Tuesday, generating 15 points, 10 rebounds and two assists across 38 minutes in a 112-105 loss to the Thunder. The Kings could be more inclined to rest Murray with Thursday's game being the first of a back-to-back, though Sacramento isn't in the best position to rest players as the team jostles for positioning in what appears to be a likely spot in the Play-In Tournament. If Murray were to miss Thursday's contest, Colby Jones and Trey Lyles would benefit from expanded roles, while one or both of Sasha Vezenkov and Kessler Edwards could enter the rotation.... Kings' Keegan Murray: Good to go Tuesday
Murray (calf) does not carry an injury designation in advance of Tuesday's game against Oklahoma City. Murray's presence on the Kings' initial injury report can likely be attributed to routine maintenance. The second-year forward is averaging 18.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.6 blocks while launching 16.6 shots per game over his last five contests.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Keegan Murray: Scores 18 points in loss
Murray notched 18 points (7-14 FG, 4-10 3Pt), two rebounds and one block in 32 minutes during Thursday's 120-109 loss to the Knicks. Murray finished this game as the Kings' second overall scorer, ahead of Domantas Sabonis and only trailing De'Aaron Fox. Murray has now cleared the 15-point mark in seven of his last eight appearances, and the second-year forward is embracing more touches -- and a bigger role -- on offense since the team has had to adjust to the absence of Malik Monk (knee).... Kings' Keegan Murray: Pops for 22 points in win
Murray ended with 22 points (8-12 FG, 6-7 3Pt), seven rebounds, two assists and two blocks over 38 minutes during Saturday's 109-107 win over Orlando. Murray found some rhythm on the offensive end, scoring at least 20 points for the first time in almost a month. It was a welcome sight for fantasy managers, especially those who have been holding him through his recent struggles. He should continue to play heavy minutes, providing him an opportunity to build on this performance.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Keegan Murray: Double-double in win
Murray produced 19 points (7-13 FG, 5-10 3Pt), 11 rebounds, three assists and two steals in 39 minutes during Wednesday's 120-107 victory over the Lakers. Murray continues to rain in threes while playing at home, with his three-point efficiency rising to 42.5 percent on 6.5 triples per game when the Kings are in Sacramento. Wednesday represented his fifth double-double of the season and his first since Feb. 11.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Keegan Murray: Ruled out Tuesday
Murray (ankle) won't play in Tuesday's game versus the Bucks, Frankie Cartoscelli of KHTK Sactown Sports 1140 reports. Murray has been downgraded from questionable to out due to a left ankle sprain. In his absence, Trey Lyles, Kessler Edwards and Chris Duarte are candidates to receive increased minutes. Murray's next chance to suit up is Wednesday's matchup with the Lakers.... See More ... Kings' Keegan Murray: Fully participates in practice
Murray twisted his left ankle during Sunday's loss to the Rockets, but he was a full participant during Monday's practice, Sean Cunningham of Fox 40 Sacramento reports. It's been a rough start to March for the second-year forward, who's averaged just 10.2 points on 37.0 percent shooting over his last five appearances. Murray has missed only four games this season and has made 46 straight appearances. That streak will likely continue Tuesday versus Milwaukee, but the Kings have yet to release their official injury report for that contest.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Keegan Murray: Good all-around effort in loss
Murray closed Monday's 113-109 loss to Chicago with 11 points (3-8 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six rebounds, four assists, three blocks and one steal in 39 minutes. Murray contributed in every major category during the defeat and matched a season high with three blocked shots. Murray will occasionally disappoint with low shot volume, but he's averaging 33 minutes per game as a starter and is almost always in the running to finish as the Kings' third-best scoring option.... Kings' Keegan Murray: Wakes up with 28 points
Murray posted 28 points (10-14 FG, 6-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, one assist, one block and three steals across 36 minutes during Monday's 121-110 loss to the Heat. Murray drained six three-pointers during one of his best performances of 2024. The second-year forward has a knack for displaying his incredible upside, but he's struggled to hit double digits recently, reaching that feat in just six appearances since the beginning of February. However, the All-Star break seemed to have a positive effect on his numbers, as he's averaging 18.3 points. 5.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals over the last three games.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Keegan Murray: Scoreless in loss
Murray notched zero points (0-4 FG, 0-3 3Pt), four rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal over 20 minutes during Wednesday's 133-120 loss to the Pistons. Murray's terrible February continued Wednesday, and he quickly gave way to Trey Lyles after failing to make an impact. Murray's recent inability to sustain consistent totals is worthy of concern, and his sharp decrease in shot volume appears to be the primary culprit. A dip in scoring is understandable after logging his third-lowest minute total of the season, but it's a noticeable trend that's persisted throughout the month.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Keegan Murray: Rough night Friday
Murray totaled five points (2-7 FG, 1-6 3Pt), one rebound and one assist over 28 minutes during Friday's 133-122 victory over the Pacers. Murray managed just five points in 28 minutes, producing arguably his worst performance of the season. Coming off a 33-point effort against the Heat, Murray has bookended that performance with two rough shooting nights. He remains a clear must-roster player, but managers need to be prepared for ups and downs, especially with Murray relying heavily on points and threes to sustain value.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Keegan Murray: Still battling cold spell
Murray chipped in 15 points (5-13 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 4-6 FT), four rebounds, two assists and three blocks across 40 minutes during Saturday's 120-115 win over the Mavericks. Murray is slumping from beyond the arc, posting 6-for-25 shooting across his last four games. The 23-year-old compensated Saturday by contributing defensively and finding points elsewhere, but he has posted just seven games with at least four free-throw attempts this season. He continues to possess a gigantic workload and can be considered a bounce-back candidate moving forward.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Keegan Murray: Will play Tuesday
Murray (hip) will play in Tuesday's game against the Suns. Murray was carrying a questionable tag before this update after suffering a right hip issue during Sunday's game versus Milwaukee. He made it through Tuesday's warmups without any setbacks, and there's no word of any restrictions ahead of tipoff.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Keegan Murray: Questionable for Tuesday
Murray (hip) is questionable to play Tuesday against Phoenix. Murray is dealing with right hip irritation. He exited early and was unable to return in Sunday's loss to Milwaukee, making his status murky for Tuesday. Trey Lyles logged 33 minutes in Sunday's contest and likely profiles as the primary fill-in if Murray can't suit up.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Keegan Murray: Leaves early with hip irritation
Murray won't return to Sunday's game against the Bucks due to right hip irritation, James Ham of ESPN 1320 Sacramento reports. Murray had an inefficient first half, totaling four points (2-9 FG, 0-2 3Pt), one rebound and one block in 19 minutes. The Kings ruled him out for the remainder of the matchup at halftime, so Trey Lyles could see increased playing time in Murray's stead during the second half. Whether Murray will be available Tuesday against the Suns remains to be seen.... See More ... See Less -
Kings' Keegan Murray: Goes for 25 points Wednesday
Murray notched 25 points (11-18 FG, 3-7 3Pt), six rebounds, three assists and one block over 32 minutes during Wednesday's 123-98 victory over Charlotte. Murray has started the new year on an absolute tear, and while his eight-point outing against the Pelicans on Jan. 7 was a subpar outing, he's been very good overall. Through six January appearances, Murray has reached the 20-point mark three times, reaching double-doubles twice and averaging 20.2 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.2 steals per contest.... See More ...
