Grimes (knee) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Wizards. Grimes hasn't suited up since March 13 and has made just six appearances since Jan. 30. His next chance to play will come Monday versus Memphis, but he doesn't have an official return timetable.... See More ... See Less

Pistons' Quentin Grimes: Ruled out for Wednesday
Grimes (knee) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against Minnesota. Grimes will miss an eighth consecutive game due to a right knee contusion. Grimes and Simone Fontecchio (toe) being unavailable once again leaves Detroit without much floor spacing, especially with Cade Cunningham (knee/rest) listed as questionable amid a multi-game absence. Jaden Ivey and Marcus Sasser will likely continue anchoring the shorthanded backcourt.... See More ... See Less -
Pistons' Quentin Grimes: Won't play Monday
Grimes (knee) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Knicks. Grimes hasn't played since March 13. His next chance to suit up will come Wednesday in Minnesota, and when he's cleared, there should be plenty of minutes available for the former Knick.... See More ... See Less -
Pistons' Quentin Grimes: Sitting out Sunday
Grimes (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's matchup with the Pelicans. Grimes' absence will result in six straight games missed due to a bruised right knee. Sunday's game will be the first night of a back-to-back set, so Detroit could be exercising caution with Grimes before potentially having him return to action Monday in New York against his former Knicks squad.... Pistons' Quentin Grimes: Won't play Friday
Grimes (knee) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Celtics. Grimes will miss his fifth consecutive game due to a right knee contusion. After Friday's contest, the Pistons will begin a back-to-back set Sunday and Monday versus the Pelicans and Knicks, respectively. Even if he's cleared to play Sunday, Grimes could still be a candidate to sit Monday for maintenance purposes.... See More ... See Less -
Pistons' Quentin Grimes: Another absence coming
Grimes (knee) won't play in Wednesday's game versus the Pacers. Grimes' absence streak will extend to four games Wednesday due to a right knee contusion. His next chance to suit up is Friday's matchup with Boston.... See More ... See Less -
Pistons' Quentin Grimes: Remains sidelined for Monday's game
Grimes (knee) has been ruled out for Monday's game against Boston. Grimes continues to deal with a knee issue and will be unavailable for a third consecutive game. Evan Fournier, Simone Fontecchio (toe) and Marcus Sasser could see increased work against the Celtics.... See More ... See Less -
Pistons' Quentin Grimes: Ruled out for Friday
Grimes has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Heat due to right knee soreness. With Grimes and Ausar Thompson (illness) sidelined Friday, the Pistons will have more minutes on the wing available for the likes of Evan Fournier, Simone Fontecchio and Marcus Sasser. Grimes' next chance to play will come Sunday in a rematch with Miami.... See More ... See Less -
Pistons' Quentin Grimes: Struggles from field in return
Grimes (knee) scored six points (1-8 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds, three assists and one steal across 21 minutes Monday in the Pistons' 114-97 win over the Hornets. Grimes had missed the Pistons' previous four games due to right knee injury management, but he was thrust into a 20-plus-minute role in his return while Detroit was without a key rotational forward in Ausar Thompson (illness). Grimes failed to take advantage of the ample playing time, with the poor showing from the field and three-point range diminishing the overall impact of his stat line. Grimes could cede a few minutes if Thompson is available to play in Detroit's next game Wednesday versus Toronto.... See More ... See Less -
Pistons' Quentin Grimes: Back in action Monday
Grimes (knee) has been upgraded to available for Monday's game against Charlotte. Grimes will be making his return from a four-game absence due to right knee soreness and could step into a larger role than normal with Ausar Thompson (illness) set to miss his first game of the season. Since being acquired from the Knicks at the trade deadline, Grimes has appeared in four games for Detroit, averaging 5.3 points, 2.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 three-pointers, 1.0 steals and 1.0 blocks in 19.5 minutes per contest.... Pistons' Quentin Grimes: Won't play Saturday
Grimes (knee) will not play Saturday against the Mavericks. Grimes will sit out a fourth straight game Saturday, though he is said to be getting closer to a return. For now, consider him questionable for Monday's game against Charlotte.... See More ... See Less -
Pistons' Quentin Grimes: Unlikely to play Saturday
Grimes (knee) is doubtful for Saturday's game against the Mavericks. Grimes will likely miss a fourth straight game due to right knee soreness. However, per Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press, Grimes has begun jogging again, and coach Monty Williams is hopeful the sharpshooter will be cleared for on-court activities again soon.... Pistons' Quentin Grimes: Remains out Thursday
Grimes (knee) won't play in Thursday's game versus the Nets. Grimes' absence streak will extend to three games Thursday due to right knee soreness. His next chance to take the floor is Saturday's matchup with Dallas.... See More ... See Less -
Pistons' Quentin Grimes: Ruled out against Miami
Grimes (knee) won't play in Tuesday's game versus the Heat. Grimes will officially miss his second straight contest after being downgraded from doubtful to questionable Tuesday with right knee soreness. His next chance to suit up is Thursday's matchup with Brooklyn.... See More ... See Less -
Pistons' Quentin Grimes: Unlikely to play Tuesday
Grimes (knee) is doubtful for Tuesday's game against the Heat. Grimes will miss a second straight game due to knee soreness. He missed the first nine games of February due to a knee strain, so it's a concerning development for the sharpshooter. Marcus Sasser and Evan Fournier should see a slight uptick in minutes with Grimes sidelined.... See More ... See Less -
Pistons' Quentin Grimes: Downgraded to out
Grimes (knee) is unavailable for Sunday's game against Orlando, James L. Edwards III of The Athletic reports. Grimes missed the first nine games of February due to a right knee sprain, so it's less than ideal that he'll be forced to miss a contest due to an injury to the same knee. However, the Pistons could be exercising an abundance of caution with the 23-year-old trade-deadline pickup, especially with Marcus Sasser (knee) available to fill the void in the backcourt. Grimes' next opportunity to take the court comes Tuesday versus Miami.... See More ... See Less -
Pistons' Quentin Grimes: Tagged as questionable
Grimes is questionable for Sunday's game against Orlando due to right knee soreness. The fact that Grimes wasn't included on the Pistons' initial injury report before being added Sunday doesn't bode well for his chances of getting cleared prior to the 6 p.m. ET tipoff. After logging 20-plus-minute workloads in his first two games with the Pistons upon getting the green light to play last week, Grimes has been limited to 14 minutes in both of his last two appearances.... Pistons' Quentin Grimes: Fuels near comeback
Grimes had 14 points (4-9 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 3-3 FT), three rebounds, two assists, three blocks and one steal over 24 minutes during Monday's 113-111 loss to New York. Grimes poured in all 14 of his points in the fourth quarter, ultimately finishing with a well-rounded two-way performance. Grimes' first game back in New York after being dealt by the Knicks at the trade deadline lacked a happy ending for the Pistons, but he is carving out a relevant role as Detroit's sixth man.... Pistons' Quentin Grimes: Gets steady run in team debut
Grimes (knee) tallied five points (2-8 FG, 1-5 3Pt), four assists, two steals, two rebounds and one block in Saturday's 112-109 loss to the Magic. Grimes didn't quite light it up in the box score in his Pistons debut, but he still contributed in every category, and more importantly, saw sizable minutes off the bench in his first game action since Jan. 30. The fact that Ausar Thompson was limited to 21 minutes due to foul trouble might have had a hand in Grimes seeing a big role, as did the continued absence of Isaiah Stewart, who will complete his three-game suspension Monday against the Knicks before returning to action Tuesday in Chicago. Once Stewart is back in the fold, the Pistons will have all of their key contributors available, so Grimes' minutes will be worth watching once the club is at full strength.... See More ... Pistons' Quentin Grimes: Available to face Orlando
Grimes (knee) will be available to make his Pistons debut against the Magic on Saturday, head coach Monty Williams told James L. Edwards III of The Athletic. "We're going to put him out there and use his skill set to help us win," Williams said while acknowledging Grimes is not expected to play significant minutes in his Detroit debut. Grimes will finally debut for Detroit following the trade that sent him to the Pistons from the Knicks before the deadline earlier this month. Grimes should add a much-needed boost to Detroit's second unit. Still, fantasy managers should temper expectations with Grimes until he's completely healthy, especially if he plays under a minutes restriction.... See More ... See Less
