It seems like Jonathan India and the Reds may be headed for divorce, as Cincinnati has made it known that the second baseman is available via trade. India was critical of how the team assessed his injury over the summer; a setback in his recovery prompted a second MRI which showed a more significant tear of his plantar fascia. He believed he should have been shut down for a longer period of time initially. Just a few short years ago, India was NL Rookie of the Year and looked like an important part of the team's long-term future, but the organization has seen an influx of young talent at the major-league level. India hit 17 homers and stole 14 bases in just 119 games last season, though his batted-ball numbers and sprint speed leave something to be desired. If he's dealt to a more pitcher-friendly park, India's numbers could take a hit. If he stays put, he could get lost in the shuffle.
