Frazier has gone 1-for-10 with three walks and two strikeouts over four Cactus League games. Frazier is doing alright with plate discipline. He is competing with Michael Massey for the starting job at second base, but neither player has stood out all that much in the first week-plus of spring games. Frazier can also provide coverage in the corner outfield, so he's likely to be on the Royals' major-league roster as at least a utility option throughout 2024. If neither Frazier nor Massey claim second base for themselves, Nick Loftin and Garrett Hampson could also be in the mix for at-bats there.... See More ... See Less

Royals' Adam Frazier: Signs with Royals
Frazier signed a one-year, $2 million contract with the Royals on Saturday, Mark Feinsand of MLB.com reports. Frazier slashed .240/.300/.396 with 60 RBI across 454 plate appearances with the Orioles last season. He elected free agency earlier in the offseason to avoid being completely phased out by Baltimore's young talent, and he will presumably replace Michael Massey as the Royals' primary second baseman while occasionally getting a look in the corner outfield spots. His new contract includes an $8.5 million mutual option for 2025 with a $2.5 million buyout.... See More ... See Less -

Frazier is not in the lineup for Game 2 of the ALDS versus the Rangers on Sunday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports. It's the second consecutive game out of the starting nine for Frazier, with Texas sending out another left-hander in Jordan Montgomery. Jordan Westburg will shift to second base while Gunnar Henderson moves to the hot corner. Jorge Mateo starts at shortstop.... See More ... See Less -

Jordan Westburg will shift to second base in Frazier's absence, allowing Ramon Urias to start at the hot corner.... See More ... See Less -
Orioles' Adam Frazier: Sitting versus lefty
Frazier isn't in the Orioles' lineup Thursday against the Red Sox, Nathan Ruiz of The Baltimore Sun reports. Jordan Westburg will slide to second base, with Gunnar Henderson at third base and Jorge Mateo starting at shortstop.... See More ... See Less -
Orioles' Adam Frazier: Not in Wednesday's lineup
Frazier is not in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Nationals, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports. The left-handed hitting Frazier will begin this one on the bench as the Nats throw southpaw Patrick Corbin. Jordan Westburg is handling second base.... See More ... See Less -
Orioles' Adam Frazier: Picks up 11th steal
Frazier went 1-for-2 with a walk and a stolen base in Tuesday's 1-0 win over the Nationals. Frazier has maintained a .242 batting average this year, and he's been right at that level by going 13-for-53 (.245) in September. He's logged two steals over his last six games to give him 11 thefts on the year. The second baseman has added 13 home runs, 60 RBI, 58 runs scored and a .699 OPS over 137 contests, and he continues to see a majority of the playing time at the keystone versus right-handed pitchers.... Orioles' Adam Frazier: Records steal Tuesday
Frazier went 0-for-2 with two walks, a stolen base and one run scored in Tuesday's 9-5 win over the Astros. Frazier has hit pretty well in September, going 11-for-38 (.289) over 15 games with seven RBI and six runs scored in that span. The steal was his first since Aug. 30. The second baseman is holding down a strong-side platoon role with a .246/.305/.408 slash line, 10 steals, 13 home runs, 60 RBI and 58 runs scored over 132 contests this season. Jordan Westburg remains Frazier's biggest competition for playing time.... See More ... See Less -
Orioles' Adam Frazier: Absent from Monday's lineup

Orioles' Adam Frazier: Sits versus southpaw
Frazier is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game versus St. Louis. Jordan Westburg will man the keystone while Gunnar Henderson handles third base and Jorge Mateo shortstop.... See More ... See Less -
Orioles' Adam Frazier: Hits bench against lefty
Frazier will sit Saturday against southpaw Chris Sale and the Red Sox. Frazier has filled a strict platoon role in the second half, as the only two lefties he's started against have been openers. The Orioles have shifted Jordan Westburg to second base and inserted Jorge Mateo at shortstop against most southpaws over the last few months, and they'll go with the same setup Saturday.... Orioles' Adam Frazier: On bench versus lefty
Frazier is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Angels, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.comreports. Frazier finds himself on the bench for the third straight game as the Angels will send out yet another left-handed pitcher in Patrick Sandoval. Ramon Urias will man the keystone and bat sixth Wednesday.... See More ... See Less -
Orioles' Adam Frazier: Sitting versus lefty
Frazier isn't in the Orioles' lineup Tuesday against the Angels. The fact southpaw Reid Detmers is starting on the mound will force the lefty-hitting Frazier to remain on the bench for the beginning of Tuesday's game. Jordan Westburg will slide to second base while Frazier sits, moving Gunnar Henderson to third and pulling Jorge Mateo into the lineup at shortstop.... See More ... See Less -
Orioles' Adam Frazier: Out against lefty

Frazier is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies. The lefty-hitting Frazier will hit the bench for the second time in the series while the Rockies bring southpaw Ty Blach to the hill. Orioles' Adam Frazier: Returns to lineup
Frazier (hand) is starting at second base and batting ninth Thursday against Toronto, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports. Frazier missed Baltimore's previous three games due to a sore right hand, but the issue appears to have subsided ahead of Thursday's contest.
