Seahawks' Zach Charbonnet: Complementary role in 2023
Charbonnet finished the 2023 season with 108 rushes for 462 yards and a touchdown and 33 receptions on 40 targets for 209 yards.
Charbonnet often played around 50 percent of the offensive snaps in a game, but Kenneth Walker was the clear lead back with 248 touches, 1,164 yards from scrimmage and nine total touchdowns. Despite the lopsided workload split, Charbonnet showed promise as a rookie, especially as a pass-catcher. Moreover, his 4.3 YPC compares well to Walker's 4.1 YPC on about twice the carries, and it's almost certain that Charbonnet could hold up to an increased workload given his size and track record in college. Still, he likely won't see that kind of role as long as Walker is healthy, so Charbonnet projects as a later-round insurance policy in 2024.

Seahawks' Zach Charbonnet: Sees role as pass catcher
Charbonnet rushed the ball twice for two yards in Sunday's 30-23 loss to the Steelers. He added five receptions on five targets for 39 yards.
Kenneth Walker aggravated his shoulder injury midway through the third quarter, leaving Charbonnet as Seattle's lead back. His rushing volume remained limited due to game script, though he did see four of his five catches after Walker's departure. Charbonnet's potential volume in Week 18 against the Cardinals will depend almost entirely on Walker's status.
