Pittsburgh WR Devin Street leads the Big East in catches per game and will try to get behind the Temple defense Saturday. (AP)

Temple (3-3, 2-1 Big East) at Pittsburgh (3-4, 0-3 Big East)

Kickoff: Saturday, noon ET (Big East Network)

Spread: Pittsburgh by 6.5

Watchability: Not so good. Temple has been as surprising as Pitt has been disappointing, but the Owls have preyed on Big East bottom-feeders Connecticut and South Florida.

Shining stars: Temple -- RB Montel Harris. Now fully healthy, Harris has averaged over 118 yards rushing the last three games, including a 142-yard effort in the Owls' victory over Connecticut. A similar effort is needed if Temple is going to pull the upset. Pittsburgh -- WR Devin Street. Quarterback Tino Sunseri 's efficiency has certainly benefited Street, who is the conference leader in receptions per game (6.3). Pitt likes to get Street out in space so he can exploit defenses with his speed, something that could be trouble for a Temple defense that has allowed 24 pass plays of 20 yards or more in six games.

Who could steal the show: Temple -- QB Chris Coyer. More often than not, Coyer is apt to tuck and run instead of putting the ball in the air. Pittsburgh was okay against Buffalo QB Alex Zordich last week -- 19 carries, 79 yards -- but Coyer figures to be more formidable, especially since he has a much better backfield at his disposal than Zordich. The Panthers defense will need to be careful on quarterback keepers, and not just focus on shutting down Harris or Matt Brown. Pittsburgh -- CB. Lafayette Pitts. Though Hicks is a starter on the Pitt defense, his ability as a kick returner could prove crucial. Pitts is the conference's leader in average yards per return (27.8), and his ability to flip the field could be pivotal if the game turns into a field position battle.

You going? Ranking the road trip: An intra-state battle could have Heinz Field rocking, but probably not.

Magic number for Temple: 124. Temple's rank -- of 124 -- in total offense. They'll need to score some points to keep up with Pitt.

Magic number for Pittsburgh: 6. The last time a Pitt team started 0-3 in the conference (2001), the Panthers reeled off six-straight wins to close the season. Pittsburgh only has five games remaining -- two against ranked opponents -- but it's hope.

The game comes down to: Protecting Sunseri. Pitt hasn't been real good about giving Sunseri time, and Temple has been good about getting to the passer. If Sunseri has time to survey the field, he'll pick the Owls' defense apart.

Prediction: Pittsburgh 24, Temple 23
