The latest AP Top 25 has brought some surprising additions to the poll, as No. 23 Army, No. 24 Navy and No. 25 Vanderbilt are all ranked heading into the Week 9 college football schedule. Navy remained unbeaten with a 51-17 win over Charlotte last week, but it will face its toughest test of the season when it plays No. 12 Notre Dame on Saturday afternoon. The Midshipmen are 14-point underdogs in the Week 9 college football odds, despite winning all six of their games by double digits. That game could go a long way in determining a spot in the College Football Playoff, but which team should you back with your Week 9 college football bets?

Army has a bye this week, while Vanderbilt will aim for its third big upset of the season when it hosts No. 5 Texas. The Commodores are 17.5-point underdogs in the Week 9 college football spreads as Texas tries to bounce back from its loss to then-No. 5 Georgia. Before locking in any Week 9 college football picks on those games or others, be sure to see the latest college football predictions from SportsLine's proven model.

The model simulates every FBS college football game 10,000 times. Anyone following at sportsbooks and on betting apps has seen strong returns.

Now, it has turned its attention to the latest college football odds and Week 9 college football betting lines. Head here to see every pick.

Top college football predictions for Week 9

One of the college picks the model is high on during Week 9: Michigan (-4) cruises to a blowout win over Michigan State in a 7:30 p.m. ET matchup on Saturday. Michigan State is coming off a win over Iowa, but it did not fare well in its previous two games. The Spartans were blown out by Ohio State and Oregon, losing those games by a combined final score of 69-17. Lookahead lines had Michigan favored by as many as 9.5 points, but the line has fallen substantially since then.

Michigan has not lost a home game since falling to then-No. 3 Texas in early September, so it will be happy to return to the Big House following a two-game road trip. The Wolverines have a strong rushing attack powered by senior running back Kalel Mullings, who has 676 rushing yards and seven touchdowns this season. They are facing a Michigan State defense that ranks outside the top 50 nationally in rushing yards allowed per game, which is one reason why the model has Michigan covering the spread in well over 60% of simulations. See the rest of its Week 9 college football picks here.

Another prediction: No. 3 Penn State (-6.5) takes care of business at Wisconsin in an 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff on Saturday. The Nittany Lions have dominated this head-to-head series in recent years, winning and covering the spread in five straight meetings. They have won all six of their games this season, including a 33-30 overtime victory at USC two weeks ago in their second road game of the campaign.

Wisconsin has only faced two ranked teams this season, getting blown out by then-No. 4 Alabama and then-No. 13 USC in September. The Badgers have been on the road the last two weeks, so Penn State's Week 8 bye is a massive scheduling advantage. SportsLine's model has the Nittany Lions winning this game by nearly two full touchdowns, which means they are covering the spread in well over 60% of simulations. See picks for every other game in Week 9 here.
