VERMILLION, S.D. (AP) Aidan Bouman's two touchdown passes staked South Dakota to a 17-point lead to start the fourth quarter and the Coyotes held off a Missouri State rally to take a 20-13 Missouri Valley Conference victory on Saturday.

Bouman's 44-yard touchdown pass to Wesley Eliodor put South Dakota up, 13-7 heading into intermission, and his 23-yard strike to Carter Bell made it a 20-3 lead with 2:19 left in the third quarter.

Jason Shelley led the Bears (3-6, 1-5) on a 13-play, 67 yard drive capped by his short pass to Naveon Mitchell with 11:01 left, but they could only managed a Jose Pizano 37-yard field goal late to cut into the South Dakota lead.

Bouman completed 17 of 25 passes for 235 yards. Eliodor caught six passes for 97 yards for South Dakota (3-6, 2-4).

Shelley was 23 of 38 passing for 233 yards.
