Minnesota transferred Clark (Achilles) to the G League's Iowa Wolves on Thursday.
Clark was a second-round pick by the Timberwolves but has yet to play this season while recovering from Achilles surgery he underwent during his final collegiate season at UCLA in 2022-23. It's unclear if he'll be cleared to play before the end of his rookie campaign, but it's encouraging to see the youngster ramping up in the G League.

Clark (Achilles) has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Nuggets and remains sidelined indefinitely.
Clark, a rookie second-round pick, has yet to play this season while recovering from Achilles surgery he underwent during his final collegiate season at UCLA in 2022-23. At this point, it wouldn't be surprising to see him remain out for the entire campaign, but he can be considered week-to-week, barring a return to practice.

Clark (Achilles) is out for Sunday's game against the Clippers and remains out indefinitely.
During his final collegiate season at UCLA in 2022-23, Clark underwent surgery last March to repair a ruptured right Achilles' tendon. The Timberwolves thought enough of Clark's defensive potential to select him in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft, even with the knowledge that he would miss most, if not all, of his rookie season. Updates on Clark's rehab have been sparse, so he can be considered week-to-week.

Until Clark returns to basketball activities, he can be considered month-to-month moving forward.

Timberwolves' Jaylen Clark: Likely to miss start of season
The Timberwolves are preparing for Clark (Achilles) to miss at least the first half of the 2023-24 season, Jace Frederick of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
Clark suffered a right Achilles' tendon tear in March and later underwent surgery, but the major injury didn't deter the Timberwolves from selecting him in the second round in the 2023 NBA Draft and subsequently signing him to a two-way deal. Because he'll likely be sidelined for the entire 2023 portion of the Timberwolves' schedule and quite possibly beyond that, Clark is unlikely to exceed the two-way player limit of 50 active games with the NBA team during his rookie season. With that in mind, Clark will presumably remain on a two-way deal throughout the upcoming season, but he could be upgraded to a standard NBA deal ahead of the 2024-25 season if he shows well in the G League and/or with the Timberwolves in the second half of the upcoming campaign.

The Timberwolves signed Clark (Achilles) to a two-way contract Friday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
Clark was a second-round selection for Minnesota in the 2023 NBA Draft. While it's unclear when he'll be able to take the court due to tearing his Achilles at the end of last season at UCLA, he is set to split time between the G League and NBA when he returns.
