The No. 21 UConn Huskies will look to continue their recent success against the No. 10 Marquette Golden Eagles when they meet in Big East Conference action on Tuesday. The Huskies (18-6, 7-6 Big East), who are 11-2 on their home court this season, have beaten Marquette in four of the last five meetings in the series. The Golden Eagles (19-5, 11-2), who are riding a five-game winning streak, are 5-3 on the road. Marquette posted an 82-76 win over UConn at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee on Jan. 11.

The game from the XL Center in Hartford, Conn., will tip off at 6:30 p.m. ET. Marquette is averaging 81.3 points per game, while UConn averages 79.3. Freshman Alex Karaban will be looking for a repeat of the first matchup against the Golden Eagles, when he scored 17 points, grabbed seven rebounds, dished out one assist and made one block. He is coming off an 11-point effort in Saturday's 68-62 win at Georgetown. He has reached double-figure scoring in 14 games, including a season-high 19 points in a 114-61 win over Long Island University. In 24 games, including 23 starts, Karaban is averaging 9.7 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game.

Sophomore guard Kam Jones fuels the Golden Eagles' offense, averaging 15.7 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. In the first meeting with the Huskies, Jones scored 15 points, while making three steals. He has reached double-figure scoring in 20 of 24 games this year, including a season-high 26 in an 80-77 overtime loss to Wisconsin. He scored 20 or more points six times.

Defense has also been a big part of Marquette's recent success. The Golden Eagles held Butler to just 38% shooting on Saturday, including 32% from 3-point range. Marquette forced 19 turnovers, which led to 22 points. In its last two games, the Eagles have allowed just 58 points per game, holding opposing shooters to just 42.6% of their shots.
