Who's Playing

San Diego @ Arizona State

Current Records: San Diego 6-5; Arizona State 10-1

What to Know

The San Diego Toreros have enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they must head out on the road. They will square off against the Arizona State Sun Devils at 7 p.m. ET Sunday at Desert Financial Arena. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous games.

San Diego made easy work of the UC San Diego Tritons last week and carried off an 84-58 win. Among those leading the charge for the Toreros was guard Marcellus Earlington, who had 21 points. Earlington's performance made up for a slower game against the California Baptist Lancers two weeks ago.

Meanwhile, ASU came out on top in a nail-biter against the Creighton Bluejays last Monday, sneaking past 73-71. The Sun Devils' guard Desmond Cambridge Jr. filled up the stat sheet, shooting 5-for-7 from downtown and finishing with 19 points and five rebounds.

San Diego is the clear underdog, so they're hoping it's the size of the fight that determines this one. Those who got lucky with them against the spread last Monday might want to hold off on placing bets this time since the team has yet to string together back-to-back wins against the spread.

The wins brought San Diego up to 6-5 and ASU to 10-1. Two defensive numbers to keep in mind before tip-off: The Toreros have allowed their opponents to shoot 47.20% from the floor on average, which is the 11th highest shooting percentage allowed in college basketball. The Sun Devils' defense has more to brag about, as they they have been holding their opponents to a field goal percentage of 34.60%, which places them fourth in college basketball. So the cards are definitely stacked in their favor.
