After nine weeks of competitive action on CBS and Paramount+, the 2022 BIG3 championship game has arrived. Trilogy (6-2) knocked off the Aliens 50-45 in the semifinals behind Isaiah Briscoe's 21 points to clinch its third title game appearance in five seasons. Power (5-3) had a narrow two-point victory over the 3 Headed Monsters last week and has won four straight games entering Sunday's contest. However, Trilogy is riding a five-game win streak and the 2022 BIG3 championship game will be the squad's opportunity to become the league's first back-to-back champion.

The 2022 BIG3 championship will tip off at 5 p.m. ET from Atlanta. These teams did not face each other during the regular season, but each enters on a healthy winning streak, with Power winning four straight, while Trilogy has won five in a row. Caesars Sportsbook lists Trilogy as a 2.5-point favorite in the latest BIG3 odds, with the over-under at 94.5. You can watch Sunday's BIG3 basketball on CBS and you can stream live on Paramount+ with the must-have Premium plan.

BIG3 picks for Sunday, Aug. 21

Before tuning into Sunday's BIG3 action, you need to see the BIG3 basketball picks from SportsLine expert Ameer Tyree. Tyree joined SportsLine after working as an NBA Fantasy sports and betting specialist at DraftKings and has a history of profitable basketball plays that help bettors find edges.

For Sunday's BIG3 action, Tyree is backing Trilogy to win its second championship in a row and third in five seasons. Just five teams finished with positive point differentials, and two of them are in this game. But Trilogy topped all clubs with a plus-45 point differential for the season, and they've taken their play to another level in recent contests.

Trilogy has a plus-59 point differential over its last five games, while Power is at plus-26 over that same stretch. While Power has the frontrunner for the 2022 BIG3 Rookie of the Year award, Glen Rice Jr., Trilogy counters with one of the MVP favorites in Briscoe. He ranks second in scoring, fourth in assists, and had seven pivotal points in Trilogy's championship game win last year.

Most championship games come down to defense and Trilogy also has the edge in that department. It ranks second in both steals and blocks, while Power is outside the top three in both statistics. Given their recent play, big game experience and two-way play, Trilogy is expected to repeat according to Tyree. Stream the matchup right here.
